Skatoulaki: I'm partial to carto tanks myself but you can use just about anything on the sigelei if it has the 510 and eGo threading. I'd start out using anywhere from a 2.0 to 3.0 ohm atomizing device at 6 watts to start with and move up or down from there as you wish. Use the sigelei menu settings in Post #1 to begin with. This sets up the Sigelei for operating with displayed watts.

Good luck and remember: it's not that complicated. This unit is very easy to use.

I think I'm going to take the plunge on this one, it will be my first APV after my egos but looking for a great price to "sort of" justify it to my wife! I almost bought it from catskill but google told me that the site wasn't secure when I clicked on the proceed to checkout so i didn't

wheres is the best place to buy it from? price and accessory wise?? I don't have batteries nor chargers

I got mine from Electronicstix for $75 including a single cell charger and two 18650 generic IMR batts. No problems. Electronicstix provided a two week warranty.

Varitube sells it with a 90-day warranty. Somewhere in the first half dozen pages or so of this thread tA71ana provided a discount code for Varitube.

The single cell charger that comes with the Sigelei kits is a 1 amp charger. It's pretty fast and will charge any battery faster than you can vape one down. You may want to invest in a multi-cell charger if you like having a lot of batteries around for batch charging. XTAR chargers are good, so are the Trustfire chargers that I have used. I tend to buy E-fest IMR batteries from Crystal Clear Vaping, especially when on sale.

Check out at exhalevapor they are at $65 and i think vaporjoeas ha a coupn code

And get a decent charger and batteries dont do as i do when ordering the vamo with a cheap charger trustfire cuz my 18650 needs more than a day to charge.

Mine is out for delivery today from free-cigs, exhalevapors dont ship to PR

hehe this is exactly my situation and what lead me to the Zmax as well. I just got mine a couple days ago- I'm still getting used to the size and heft but I keep thinking back to how big/heavy my ego felt after using my halo g6 for awhile...so I'm sure I'll get used to this step up. So far I really like it.

Wow that sucks DaxFX. I am sorry to hear this and to see those pictures. Nothing more frustrating than to be waiting for a new gadget only to have it wrong or defective out of the box. Obviously you should contact the vendor immediately. It looks like the ring for the Ego threading was not affixed to the post properly?

I have been looking around at various vendors online to buy a Zmax v3 myself, and some of the prices are almost too good to pass up. There's a deal for one at ExhaleVapors - $3.00 off for the angled head model (just the tube/device - not a kit), a JUNE10 for 10% off coupon code on a banner at the top of their site, and free shipping, bringing the total down to like $56 all said and done. However, after reading the above post, it certainly would sway me even more to purchase at varitube instead, spend a bit more outright and get a 90 day warranty with them for it. From what I have read in a review for this product on their site, it seems like the folks at varitube may be checking these units out for functionality and lubing up the threading before shipping them out. That kind of service and a 90 day warranty may very possibly get my business.

Contact the vendor and get it straightened out ASAP, and hopefully they will resolve the issue to your satisfaction. Please keep us informed as to how it works out.

I can't see anything wrong with the screen but maybe it's just angle the picture was taken from. That button just looks like the Sigelei button should look, it's deep and can cast a crescent-shaped shadow inside if the light is right.

The eGo threading (which is brass) is loose. This is definitely a major defect. It looks like your vendor didn't bother to check this unit before shipping it to you.

A defective unit from one vendor doesn't mean all units are defective from that vendor or any other vendor, however. I suspect my Sigelei Telescopic will be working fine years from now.

Time to contact your vendor for a new replacement.

The screen is crooked like most zmax, but very noticable,, the crecent moon is not a shadow, in the photo you cant see it very weel but i see a black disc under the buton that is not cebtered the cresent is in the same spote no matter what angle I look at and no matter wich way the light is coming, there is something out of place under the buton and i can see that.

The photo you provided doesn't look much different than the photos here in Posts #61 and #65. So, I can't say much either way. Does the switch work? It's a clear plastic button that floats on top of a switch that's mounted on the circuit board. The bottom of my switch button seems to be frosted and I can't see anything underneath it.

At any rate, the problem with the eGo threading is enough to send it back. Does the vendor have a return policy? Sorry you ran into a problem. It happens, sometimes.

Sorry to hear about your issues Dax.

One thing I hadn't checked on mine was how it works with my evods. Well, mine isn't loose like yours and I can attach an evod and fire it - so, I assume it's working as intended. However, I don't really like how deep it sits in the recess. The evod's base is entirely covered by the outer body of the zMax. I can foresee getting a base stuck down in the well if you are not careful with how much you tighten it down when putting it on. Also, I think it would be best to unscrew the evod off the unit with everything upside down to avoid spilling juice everywhere in the event that the base sticks to the Ego threads. Fortunately for me, I have very little cause to use it with anything Ego threaded. But, I can see that this could be a considerable downside for those who do intend to use the Ego threading.

looks like you have to open up your zmax or send it back to the vendor. i had the same issue where the screen is angled downwards so i had to center it and cut up the paste they used so it will be centered. the good part is that the screen is attached via double sided tape so you can do it yourself, the bad part is if it detaches then youd have to open up you zmax again.

OMG, ok...I had it set to VV...now that I've switched it to VW, I'm liking it much much better! Other than a little gurgling after I do a refill, I'm actually liking the iClear 30. Definitely a big step up from my Twists! I haven't used them once since I got this thing on Monday, and I'm already thinking of buying a second.

Update on my Zmax Tele.. I got some alcohol on a q-tip and cleaned around the button really good and all the parts that were easily accessible with out taking it apart (don't have the foggiest notion how to do that yet, lol). Cleaned the well, cap, spring, threads and re - noaloxed.
Except for the fact that I have to press the button a tad bit harder than I did before, it is working fine now. I am running this mod strictly as a 18350 because I don't trust myself to not tighten it down too much when using a larger batt.
I still love it and will be getting another one (along with a couple of those coloured minis, lol)

Don't worry about using the larger sized batteries. Here is the guideline I use for sizes larger than 18350.

1. Remove the battery cap.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Insert the new battery.
4. Adjust the battery tube so that 1/8" of the battery is sticking out past the threaded end of the tube.
5. Screw on the battery cap.
