I havnt had any issues. Ot just heats up slower then the Paranormal. But I also have cheap rewrapped batteries that Mooch only rates at 27 amps. Im getting Samsung 20S in the mail today. They r true 30amp batteries with 2000mah Mooch says. Do u have any advice on the Hex Ohm? I keep my potentiometer all full power. The hex ohm is great if you know how to use it.
At 17 amps I meant. The cheap batteries r 17 amps.I havnt had any issues. Ot just heats up slower then the Paranormal. But I also have cheap rewrapped batteries that Mooch only rates at 27 amps. I figured that. But I still feel better about getting brand name reputable batteries. Im using 28×2+38 nichrome fused claptons 9 wrap on a 3mm. The Paranormal heats them just fine at 80 watts boost. 100 watts without boost. It just seems to be a more powerful device.the coils heating up slower then the paranormal has nothing to do with your batteries. It has everything to do with the actual coils that you are using.

Im sure theres a good reason. I just know I like the Paranormal better. When you figure out ohm's law, you may understand why 100 watts on a regulated mod feel more powerful than your .403ohm build at 6V.
The slow heat up time is a fault of your build, not your batteries. Even with the best 18650s you will have slow ramp up because your coils are so large.I havnt had any issues. Is the triade a mod? Send me a link Ill check it out.but just think how much you'd like a triade?

I know. I bought the Hex Ohm cause the vape shop told me it was the most powerful. Unfortunately its not. Im still reading up on Ohms law. Give me some time Ill get it. I found the calculator link online someone sent me. Im learning how to use it as we speak. Ill get there. Not all all surprising...
Set the DNA device to 100 watts the coils get 100w every single time you press the button.
Set the Hexoxhm potentiometer to full power the coils get 6v max which = 89w at most.
6v / .403Ω = 89w
The reason it heats slower is 2 9 wrap high mass coils take more power than the hexoxhm can provide, because it is limited to 6v output.
Of course thats been explained to you a dozen or so times too.
The HexOhm3 would hit just as hard as the Paranormal if you used a more reasonable coil resistance. You're using coils with lot of metal mass and a lower resistance ----> which requires more power than the HexOhm can deliver safely and takes much longer to heat up.Im sure theres a good reason. I just know I like the Paranormal better.
If it’s an 18650, there is no such thing as a 30A CDR cell so far. Always check CDR when choosing batteries for mechs and I’ll take Mooch’s word over the manufacturer as they put the pulse discharge on the wraps. As for voltage, always calculate at 3.7 as the 4.2 will never reach the coils due to voltage drop of the mod and deck. And yes, a good understanding of ohms law is essential to be safe.
Have fun

In my opinion, it’s better for someone relatively new to doing so to perform Ohm’s Law calculations with a cell rated at 4.2 vDC to always assume a value of “V” to be 4.2 vDC.
I understand why you state 3.7, but for the new folks, assuming 4.2 is simply another safety factor![]()
My build gives me tremendous flavor and vapor. Now that I have the Paranormal theres no reason to change it. I just use the Paranormal at 80 watts boost. The battery lasts longer in it to.The HexOhm3 would hit just as hard and just as fast as the Paranormal if you used a more reasonable coil resistance. If you would use a higher resistance coil with less metal to heat up, the HexOhm3 would probably perform as well as the Paranormal. But you're being stubborn and saying you like the "build" of your coils and not willing to change it to something more reasonable. So, you're going to be disappointed with the HexOhm3 because you're not willing to use it efficiently.
You missed my point. My point was if you were using a different, more energy-efficient build in the HexOhm3 you'd get similar satisfaction (flavor and vapor and less ramp up time) to the Paranormal. My build gives me tremendous flavor and vapor. Now that I have the Paranormal theres no reason to change it. I just use the Paranormal at 80 watts boost. The battery lasts longer in it to.
