I didn't buy it! AWESOME RESTRAINT!!!


Instead I got a Kayfun Lite, a few IBTanked tanks, a case of cartos, a ProVari Ring, some batteries, a new carto punch, some DIY stuff, some kanthal, a Phiniac tank, ...I forget what else.

I'm counting on exactly that. You see, before the Kayfun, I had a choice. Now, I actually NEED it. No buyers remorse that way. Hey, what only looks good on a Mark Bugz?

I love my wife, and it makes my heart ache to imagine the look on her face when I tell I am going to order a Semovar. When she asks me how much it costs, I am going to be straight up with her and say, "I can't tell you that. I would have to be honest, and it will really cheese you off. So, I'm not telling."

I got a SM V3 Semovar about 3 weeks ago and IMO we now have a mod that gives the Provari some competition.

Other than its not readily available I think it surpasses the Provari so far.

It seems to built well and it dose not have the pulsing cheaper Chinese mods have.

It has the Kayfun adapter

It is VV and VW

It can use button or flat top batteries.

The price is about the same for the base kit.

As much as I hate to admit it the Ruskies have come up with something that is as good if not better than the Provari.

Not that it really matters to me about the VV vs VW thing but the SM V3 Semovar has done a very good job with the Nivel chip.

If SvoeMesto can ramp up production to meet the volume of Provari Id say Provari will have some competition. The good thing for us wonder what the Provari V 3 will be?

Yes!! Buzz and Baditude are 2 of my ecf playmates,who are bad influences. My dearest knew about my Provari,before I said anything. It was less grief than I expected,but was told I am not allowed to go to the ECF playground,as Y'all are a bad influence. This is my first day with my Provari up and running and I love it,now you put a pic of a new toy I have to have Dearest did bring home a knew pair of shoes today.

I scanned the review, so I could have missed it, but I wonder how it is on voltage output accuracy?

I notice it has the same amp limit as the ProVari, and the same ohm range.

It is a very nice looking mod, and seems to have some pretty serious effort put into it's build/construction. I hope PB does a review on it soon. I think it is a bit premature to say that it surpasses the ProVari, but it certainly looks like a very nice mod. I will keep an eye out for it!

Ill hook up my skope Sun Eddard and do a side by side under load with a 3.0 atty and a 1.5 dual coil atty.

Seeing from work its arrived rushing home, opening the package seeing the craftsmanship. Felling the smooth cool SS a small sigh escapes your lips as the threads just glide together.

then the feverish rush to boot up the manual in English. AHHHHH the satisfying vape of a well regulated mod. Life is good!!!!;-)

If you're sold on VV, then you're sold on VW. VW is merely an autopilot for VV. VW automatically adjusts voltage to meet a specific wattage depending what ohm coil you're using.

Matt Olmstead From Fazed Box Mods makes really nice mods with Both the Nivel Chip and DNA20. Additionally, Mamu has made some Nivel devices. Another nice one here...Power Bank Nivel Mod

The Nivel chip came out around the same time as the DNA 20 if I recall. The accessibility of the DNA 20 along with the 20W max power has made it a preference for most modders here in the US. I know there were some issues keeping up with the demand of the Nivel Chip though I suspect we will see them more often eventually as it is a great chip.

Provape im sure is happy with their propitiatory technology and I don't believe would ever outsource their chip sets

Provape designed a consistent, durable, reliable and easy to use safe regulated mod and that was their plan and they still haven't dropped in sales so how do you explain that even with all the new mods coming out that you claim are as good or better.

glad to see vaperev carrying them, it may finally get some saturation over here, (cant let the EU have ALL the fun and cool toys).

and just so its out there. this isnt exactly new. this is the Semovar III. i was on the waiting list for the 2 and it suddenly disappeared off the site last year, breaking my heart. SM isnt sitting on their hands these guys are hard at work on the kayfun 4 probably lol.

so far they have shown every time flaws or shortcomings pop up they are more then ready to step up and revise it yet again. an example is about 3 months ago there was a small group that noticed the hybrid base leaked into the electronics (less then 5%) they instantly stated 5% is 5% too many and stopped production,
I read on an EU forum the top dog at SM wants everyone to know he is on a mission to make this one of the best mods on the market.


(if i sound like a fan I am, out of all the products I own, SM's has been the most impressive quality no matter what I have owned from them, and the success of the KFL shows they arent slowing down either)

I don't think it's about questioning how good the ProVari is (that's not in question, at least not by me), but at some point, they can't keep simply bringing out new "versions" of the same mod with changes in the facade. Can they? A Zombie Apocalypse version? That one made me really question their line of thinking. Seriously! It's almost as if they're resting on their laurels. No. They are.

Don't get me wrong, I want the polished version, but I also think they could push the envelope beyond where they took it a long time ago, that's all. It's bad enough that all the best "parts" for the ProVari are made by other vendors, so I think they already missed the boat on that front. This is all coming from a happy ProVari owner and one that uses it as his sole device. Not hating, just trying to be objective.

Sells don't mean much really. Blu is still banging out units. LOL

A couple of things in regard to your post...
1- If you made that comment about Provape a year ago, I would have said your nuts!! I am actually shifting my opinion on this. The way people vape is seriously starting to evolve a bit. More and more advanced vapers like the power of the DNA 20 along with the no fuss screen that it uses. Additionally, the vv/vw option is a nice feature that other mods have. I gotta say, My Nivel mods are truly awesome. I happen to like the additional functions that my Provaris are lacking. I will always love the Provari along with the exceptional Provape customer service, but I personally see things shifting a bit!

2- Thanks for the Bogger link. I am now dripping exclusively. I have had the itch for a bottom feeder. These guys have some seriously nice devices!! I may have to consider!

While some might see this thread as an opportunity to bash Provape I think anyone whoes been apart of it can see its simply a comparison and IMO its the first production mod Ive found that is worthy of comparison to the Provari. I think the good folks at Provape will give us something just as spectacular as the V2 and 2.5 when they feel its time.

If blaming me gets you outta dutch with your lady for making a purchase by all means blame away. In fact you can even tell her I said sissy if you dont! Any wife would surely understand why someone would have to cave under the pressure of the sissy if you dont dare;-)

LOLOL you make me laugh.

I too dont want to be seen bashing the provari. I wil still recommend them to this day as the best choice for someone not wanting to waste money playing with cheap stuff or looking for a near indestructible mod, heck i own 2, one of them has literally been abused beyond belief and works fine. cant say that about my original vamo.

but i def agree that many of the accessories that truly make the provari shine should be sold by provape and you shouldnt have to go googling half of Europe to get them. at least a 22mm endcap version by now, i think its safe to say plain carto's dont rule the roost anymore.

while I think they will always sell they need to be careful or they will get caught napping. but hey we dont work there, and they keep news wrapped up tighter then apple, who knows whats going on in the board room lately.
