Been playing around with my M50 and I think I might like it more than the ipv Mini! Smaller, more power, more accurate, although the IPV does feel better in the hand.

If anyone is looking for a good tiny tank, the ego One tank looks good on the M50 and has been taking tons of power without a single dry hit, I liked it so much I have 3 more coming in the mail, these little guys are really impressive around 30-40 watts.

Been shopping around a bit. Several sites have the M50 listed but have the description updated as the M65. I am thinking the M50 is already a dinosaur. Killed off before it had a chance to breath. Kinda feel bad for the early adopters who won't have passthru and have to send theirs in for the 65w upgrade. Since the M65 is selling for the same price or a little cheaper than the M50 was.

And then there was the M80. SMOK XPRO M80 Plus I remember when product cycles were counted in years and not days...this is getting out of hand. :)

Which has now replaced the M65 Plus on the Smok website. I have absolutely zero faith in Smok right now. They don't even know what they are doing.

Makes me thankful I didn't get one. LOL

Me too. I was close a couple of times and even had one in a cart ready to hit submit but the vendor's cart was having issues...I'm now content with my other devices to wait for the next really great thing or to build my own.

No need to feel bad for this early adopter!

I never use passthrough, and don't vape over 40 watts so the newer models from smok have nothing to offer me. I'll be happily collecting cheap lightly used m50s as others rush to get the latest and greatest ;)

I'm using mine with a Kayfun 3.1. The Kayfun is a lot heavier than it, and makes it a bit top heavy. I wish it was a bit more rugged actually. I'm not into sub ohms so this works nice, and is actually way more power then I need. I usually run 1.5 ohm coils, at 9 watts. I got I 2200mha batt... I think.. It's purple I do know that..I get about two days a charge running it this way. It does charge really fast and the ohm reading never fluctuates on my unit. My only real complaint about it is you can't lock out the wattage + and - buttons even when you click it five times to lock it out. Had it in my pocket one day, pulled it out and unlocked it to have a vape and almost knocked myself on my ... because it had been ramped up to around 40 watts. I have to power the thing off now when I put it in my pocket, which can be somewhat of a PITA navigating the menu when I'm in a hurry.

Have you been having any trouble getting your M50 out of locked mode? I have to do the whole 5-click thing like 10 times before it actually unlocks, it seems easier just to turn it off when pocketing. Luckily after using zmaxes back in the day the one-button menu interface is second nature. Plus the smiley face on the powerup sceen brightens the mood ;)

Didn't realize it had a "mech mode" that just dumps straight battery voltage, but also shows you the voltage under load as well as the wattage. Really cool feature IMHO, useful for easily seeing actual voltage sag when firing.

i was having the same issue all you have to do is try to fire it then it will say that its locked then you do the 5 clicks and wait till that splash screen goes away then it should be unlocked. took me a while to get used to it and i found myself doing 10 clicks to unlock it but now i got it down to a science haha

evapeus.com has the M50 for $49.99 in black only. Hopefully they'll be getting the other colors. They ship out of PA. We'll see how it goes once it's delivered (expected on Friday ordered on Tuesday)

They have it listed as the M65 now. And have gold and grey in stock.
