This should be a short lived thread.
Yesterday I mentioned new kitty and there was talk of projects around the homesteads and I mentioned a kitty-condo that she had me build.

Finally found the pics so with out further ado...

Well done and yes, lucky kitty!

I used to volunteer at the Animal Defense League in San Antonio and it was the first time I had ever seen something like that. They even had a little hole through the wall where the cats could go in and out at their leisure. The cats absolutely loved it.

Great idea!!...now if only I could convince the other half to help me build one for our kitties... :D

Precisely! No detail over-looked!! This is the perfect solution to having indoor cats without feeling like they are missing out on being outside in the fresh air and sunshine!

Again, great job! If I come back as a cat in my next life, I can only hope to have one of these!

GREAT job!

Do you do them for Dobermans that are terrified of a big crane waaaay over there? She's pretty convinced that it's just BIDING it's time before it upheaves itself, walks the 4 blocks or so over the houses and eating her. (sigh..not really that funny considering she's SO scared to go back out there, she's piddling in the back room...)

We haven't built private accommodations...our girls just use ours!

(eyes well up, kicks at dirt and storms off in a huff after muttering that, considering my Dad was a fire chief, the least she could do would be to fly up to Toronto and build one for a poor defenceless Doberman Pinscher...) :D:D:D:D

Domino,
Our dogs RUN the joint. They have lounges on the deck, their own kiddie pool, their own furniture, "their" fireplace....etc. They even get fed more regularly than I do. lol

Ha! Tell me about it! We go to the butcher shop FOR THE DOG on a weekly basis. Anyone even looks at one of Pipers ground sirloin burgers, they get a smack in the chops!!

All the furniture is HERS. Including our 6 year old daughters bed. Now, she doesn't REALLY kick her out of bed, she just straightens those legs of hers and BAM! ("Moooommmmy!! Piper did it again!" The dog? You couldn't get a better 'who ME?' look from an OWL.)

Hmmm....you guys wouldn't happen to be in the market for another pet, would ya? I growl, bark, drool, scratch, love a good tree, like to dig holes, chase cats, and I haven't chewed up the furniture for over 5 years :).

OTD, is that one of those freestanding gazebos as a frame/roof? We have one, and it's only 2 ft from the kids' rooms. Hmmmm..........

Yes indeed.
3'x 6' frames made of 2x2 fir to stretch the chicken wire on and make a door way. Sections screwed together and mounted to the gazebo frame.
Pet door for the wall purchased from PetCo.
Inspired by her.
Designed by stink-eye driven desperation...
