We were once those kids...we were just as stupid as them...

Tell the kid AFTER HE TURNS 18 he can quit using an ecig, but he CAN'T do it before then because the government doesn't want him to. Explain the whole corporate corruption of BP wanting money for ineffective NRT and payouts from BT and government wanting taxes.
He'll probably be vaping in a week.

LOL @ ImThatGuy! That is true :) (I see you're still rocking your sweater kitten tee hee)
Myk: That is some good perspective. Most teenagers want to do the opposite of what adults tell them ;)

Yes I was into cigarettes first. I'd love to share! I started smoking at 13 ( 20years old now) The only ecigs really around was what you could find on the internet. A lot easier for us to just get a senior to buy us regular tobaccos products. E-cigarettes didn't get around to my area really till the last 2 years or so sadly, and lacking a lot still. I tried them when I was in high school, it was the v2 cigs an it was pretty nice, I got into it until my carts ran out then I couldn't use it any more. If they sold the gas station disposables then I would have been able to keep with it, cause it was.... More fun then a cig was (from us as kids perspective), mainly cause we could use it in the bathrooms and no body would know, plus we knew it was safer then using chewing tobacco while in school. Also maybe it's me but the nicotine is always a lot nicer through vapping. It was just the needing to buy it online that was the brick in the wall for us and for me.

Thank you for sharing that. It's interesting to get the perspective from a younger person. High school was a long time ago for me 0_o

Throw in some government telling them what to do and it's almost a sure thing.

Just wait until the lies about ecigs are exposed. Seen it before with a shock movie full of lies that became a cult classic to those it was designed to scare.

Did this movie title involve the word madness ;) ? I think the truth is starting to come out on the e cig front. This forum is filled with success stories. A lot of which involve trips to the doctor with improvements of health being documented. Of course we cannot claim that an e cigarette cured ailments, but hopefully there will be an accumulation of info proving that e cigs don't cause health problems. Only time will tell, that is if we are allowed to continue vaping.

That's the movie. I wasn't sure if the title would have to be edited so I decided to save a mod some time. :)

Kids will get what they want, pretty much any way they can get it.

I saw a 16 year old boy buy a MVP v2 at the B&M with his mother in tow. (For vape tricks)
Kid returns with his mother a week later to buy another MVP v2. He sold his original for a $40.00 profit.

I assume the kid he sold his original to couldn't get his mom's permission so he managed to skirt the system.

Like millions I had a tumultuous childhood. When I realized I was being lied to by those who were supposed to help me I quit listening to adults. This happened at a very young age and morphed into illegal activity, including cigarettes before age 18. Given time I figured out that I was hurting myself and ceased all of that illegal activity. But kept smoking.

It is unlikely there is anything you can say that will make a difference IF mom already knows and allows it. I did get through to a nephew who chose to escalate his errant behavior when I assured him that I would do the same. How far shall we take this? But I had the parents blessing because they knew of my past and had no idea what to do.

But his parents had previously been of a mind that the child needed to learn by his mistakes and had allowed it to go too far before realizing it. They also changed and all is well now.

In short, unless you have some connection with the youth you will only come off as an idiot, and they will have fun laughing at you while smoking.
