so have you tried the 2.0 or the 2.5 Ohm dc's ? Avid Vapers,i think, has them.

Too be honest, I'm still working on that initial order of 1.5 ohm ss dcs I bought months ago. The only other dual coil I have tried was a clear 2.0 ohm from avid. Something is different about the clear one, it doesn't perform like the ones I used for this review.

i know we've gone round and round about this, but it's obvious what earthpig is doing... he doesn't care about the batts since that are dispensible.

anyway i learned; 1. they put demands on the battery above what some VVs recommend 2. they may diminish the PV circuitry in VV's too.

so... i'm looking for the elusive 2.5 Ohm dc's...

and still ... stownz et al, please list the PV's that will get the best out of the 1.5's at higher than the 3.4 v max that a 3.7 will put out...if you will thanks.

ukeman, go check out nhaler, I picked up several 2.0 (ohm) and 2.5 (ohm) dual coils there, as well as 2.5ml and 3.5ml cartos. He's got some choices there you may like.

Ordered here once before.
Ecigsupply for all your e-cig needs has 10% off with "summerdaze" at checkout. They carry overpriced liquid and Joye kits, but have dual coil cartomizers for $1.39 each. (That is $6.95 a box). Keep it under $30 and shipping is only $2.50. So 20 duals (4 boxes) for $30.30 shipped.

Just got my first pack of these cartomizers today. I've never been a fan of cartos, mainly because I didn't like the semi-disposable aspect of them. However, these kept coming up with high marks so I thought I'd try them. And boy am I glad I did. Nice, warm, copious vapour, great TH, and good flavour. The flavour wasn't quite as intense as I was expecting, though maybe my expectations were a little too high from a couple of bad (evidently too-low resistance) B-type eGo-T atomizers that produced intense flavour but only lasted a couple of days before they burned the wicks to stubs.

At any rate, what I really appreciate about this carto is the design. The vertically-aligned dual coil design allows liquid to completely surround the coil producing a consistently great vape. As far as I'm concerned, all atomizers should be designed this way. I'd still like to try the Echo cartos for their alleged longevity and same vertically-aligned coil (though only a single coil) but at this particular moment, I think this carto has spoiled me for all the other atomizers I have tried so far. Plus, they're inexpensive enough that if a 5-pack lasts me 3 months it'll have been more than worth it.

My only concern is that despite SmokTech stating that these do work on eGo batteries (I've only just started on this first carto tonight), I'm worried that they might not last long. I'm going to have to consider a higher end true 3.7v solution, though I really have no idea where to start, at least not without paying huge money for an 18650-based system.

Yep, these are priced right but they are not the XL size, and they don't say made by Smoktech although I hear that Smoktech is making all of these, but ya never know.

Mindfield: you had a LR Ego-T B Atty last a couple of days? LOL, mine went out in 2 hours....

If you're that concerned, as am I, I've found the BogeLR's to have about the same experience. They're 2.0, a little better on the battery.

I've been running them side by side for over a month.

No, my B tanks were all supposed to be standard resistance, but the first two I ordered must have been defective (not surprising considering the quality control on Joye tank attys has been virtually non-existant) because they were running really hot (compared to normal). I don't have a multimeter but just based on the temperature I'd say they were probably running about 1.4 ohms. They were amazing for the day-plus that they worked though. I'm going to order some 99.9% 3/8 silica rope (~2500° tolerance) and make new wicks for them to see if they work better (because I don't think the wicks they came with were pure silica, probably cheaper stuff). I probably shouldn't because if they're really that low resistance I'll probably kill the MOSFETs in my batteries. (Although they worked fine for the 3-4 days it took me to kill the wicks)

That's a possibility, and I was looking at the Boge as a potential replacement for the eGo tank system, which has been almost nothing but a disappointment. I'm considering the Echo cartos too. Ideally though -- because I'm really loving these cartos -- I'd like to see if I can find a ready-made 18650 or 18500 high drain bat mod, or even just a body for a reasonable price. The only one I can get locally is the Precise, which is over $200 for the 18650 model just for the body.

hoosierecigsupply is suppose to be getting in a body for 18650s very much like the noeGo. He has been on the cutting edge with the duals, and kGo 1100mAh, and E-Power. His prices have been very good. Hopefully his sleek looking mod will be here soon.

^ is a pic. He says $30 range for basic (no battery or charger) and $60ish for starter kit. 18650 with 22000mAh.
(actually he said under $30 and under $60, but I'll have to see to believe.) Should be in stock within a week.

Best deal I have seen on an off the shelf, dual coil or LR capable (so they advertise), 18650 ready mod is advertised and extensively written about in this thread - http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/192307-new-18650-noego.html

At $35, I would be tempted to try this if I didn't have mods collecting dust.

Nice! I like both of these, though for looks I'd have to give the NoEgo the edge. It's like an obese eGo. :) Looks like the switch is rated for dual coils as well -- definitely going to check into this. That plus some batts and a charger from MadVapes should set me up nicely. Thanks for the tip!

Actually, now that I look at them, I think they are the same thing. Brent doesn't have the cone on his, but my guess is same manufacturer. Just a guess. Switch looks the same to me. We'll see in a week (or less).

I don't think so. The one from Hoosier is one they're doing and it isn't available yet. The NoEgo is from the dudes who did the Jazz Cartopipe (jazzcartopipe.com) and is available now from what I can tell.

So, been using the one cartomizer for a full day now and it's been rock solidly consistent. I'm really impressed. A little leakage down to the battery connector -- just a drop or so, though that's undoubtedly me overfilling a little bit. So far no problems using them on the eGo batteries either. I'm kind of curious: Has anyone who has been using these for any length of time on eGo batteries ever fried one on these cartos?

Three of us heavy vapers here have been using duals on a Janty eGo, a RIVA, and a kGo (SLB 1100mAh) for 2 months+. Only a problem with the kGo, and I don't think that it was dual coil related.

After you fill the carto, make sure you blow out the middle. This gives the vapor a place to travel, and it prevents leaks.

Glad to hear your loving them! Bet you won't miss that burnt tire failomizer taste from the other cartos out there 8)

Yeah, I usually dab the battery end to clear out the little bit of juice that leaks through the core. After that it's good to go, maybe a tiny bit of gurgling and the usual few crackles and pops you get on a full carto. Good to hear there have been no problems though. I'm not a heavy vaper (maybe 3ml a day or so @ 26mg) but it still concerned me; if they're doing fine for heavy vapers I'm thinking I shouldn't have any problems. I'll still probably get a NoEgo or something for longer life, but it's good to know I shouldn't expect to pop my existing batteries in the interim.

Actually, I never went for cartos before in part because of a significant number of poor reviews on them. That, and most don't seem to have a very long life span. But these DCs have been getting overwhelmingly positive reviews, and I'm really glad to note they weren't overblown. These really do rock, and per your own tests they stand up to utterly ridiculous punishment. They're definitely the best vape I've had so far and so far are an awesome replacement for the Joye tanks. (Speaking of failure...)
