The first mega DC is lasting for 10 days to me now, twice the time the DC xl are lasting to me. The xl I put normally at around 4.0 volts, but this mega DC I had to cranck up to 4.5, both of them being 1.6 Ohms. Then it is still the first mega I am using, so when I put up a second I´ll see if they all behave the same way.

I've been using the same two that I cracked open for 12 days now, still going strong. I do notice these produce a cooler vape than the standard DCs, so I think these would really shine at 4.5-5v. Hopefully in a few weeks I'll have a ProVari to put that to the test.

Your personal vaporizer may not be strong enough to allow 2.5 amps to flow though dual coil at 3.7 volts.

Sometimes the switch is the bottle neck.

I asked Smoktech if my Ego 3.7 volt battery was good enough for their dual coil cartos and they said yes, it was.

Do you mean that the manual switch slows the current flow? (bottle neck)

Not every small switch can handle the relatively high current needed for dual coils.
Sometimes new switches can handle the current but after awhile the switch contacts oxidize and loose capacity to flow needed current.
If you want to know for sure you can buy one of those inline voltmeters.

They should work fine, but it will not deliver the amps the DC needs. The smallest bat I used it on is a 900 Ego bat. It worked nicely, but after I tried it on a mod with 1800 Mah. I dont like it anymore on the Ego. It works much better at a real big bat of that size.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't a bigger 900 Ego battery only holds more power but doesn't deliver more power.......it's still 3.7 volts ,,,isn't it?

The amps a bat can deliver are related to the amps it holds. If a bat would be rated 2C, this means it can deliver 2 times the amps it holds. This means a 650 mah ego bat would deliver 2*650mah=1.3 amps. the 900 would give out 2*900=1.8 amps.
A good batterie will be rated far over 2C. But the egos they sell to us, they dont specify the C rating, so we cannot know. Being chinese made, they will not be high discharge rated I´m afraid.

I have been filling buy dropping into the top...and topping off vapor has gotten better, still alot of juice pop into the drip tip but when I get another juice ill try and see if it was the dekang cuaseing this. Question two, how do I store these full? IE I want to take 2 or 3 with me to work...put a condom on it? Mine seems to have juice on the threads regularly and I never leave it on the batt for that reason. Is it natural to have juice down there? (sounds dirty, I'm sorry lol) I'm just new to dc....

The dual coil should have no juice on the thread end.
Maybe yours is defective, overfilled, juice too thin, or juice entered straw while filling?

I put a couple in my pocket with a condom on each end. If you have juice on the threads, you may be overfilling. Make sure you blow out the center hole. Also keep your battery clean by wiping it's threads with a paper towel every day. It gets a little nasty in there.

edit: It could be the DeKang is a little too thin. I like most vendors' mix to be at least 20% VG but not more than 60% VG.

There are two coils, one above the other. While it's cool to be able to hold more juice, it still means you need to top up before the upper coil becomes dry.

After using some clear dual coils, I think that perhaps storing a full carto on it's side (with condoms) could be best?

If you store upright, with 50% of the juice eventually settling in the bottom half, the top coil would be (almost) dry? If you store it horizontally, 50% of the juice will still be nearby both coils.

If it's full, there'd be little to no room for the juice to settle unless there are dry spots, so I wouldn't worry about it. I've never had any issues, whether stored on its side or upright in a pocket (with the condoms on, of course.)

Good thought, I didn't think about the top coil getting dry and the bottom coil only vaporizing the fluid, if it truly works that way, and it seems like it would.
