Just gotta chime in on a few things for new-commers to the thread.
First let me say I use 2 Ohm SmokTech dualies on a Darwin and much enjoy them.
Next let me say I also use CE2 and Giantomizers on eveything from 510 mini batteries to the Darwin.
I also have done a LOT of business with many vendors out there...many of them ECF members but not all.
1. The CE2 is NOT a fail...and they DO NOT taste like 'burnt tires'. To burn anything on a CE2...you've got to be cranking out FAR MORE power than the things were EVER DESIGNED to handle. Stownz doesn't like a CE2, he isn't alone in not liking them, and that's fine. Hundreds of thousands of folks around the world DO like them (including myself), and they tend to vape at lower voltages on factory batteries. They aren't very expensive...so it's not the end of the world if they don't float your boat after trying a few.
2. Clearos are sensitive to high PH juices...period...it is the PV plastic out of China commonly used in the e-cig industry for clear products. Be it a RoyalSmoker CE2, or SmokTech clear dualie...and even alot of the clearish drip tips out there...avoid putting stuff like Atomic Cinnamon or super sour apple flavors in them. They will fall apart on you! Both manufacturers state this on their web-sites, as do most of the individual vendors who sell products that use this material.
3. In defense of 'rebranders' like GotVapes: A few posts in this thread try to paint these guys as some kind of con artists trying to 'push' junk on people. This simply is NOT TRUE! These vendors DO spend a considerable amount of time, energy, and money gathering data on products and communicating with the factories to make adjustments to these products. Every single time they make a claim of an improvement, it IS TRUE, and they can PROOVE it. Just as examples, Inkenvape, Nhaler, GotVapes, and many more.....do often have 'coustom production runs' done. It might be a very simple change to the stock product like using a different grade or type of nichrome in the coil, or an over-sized bridge...etc. They have focused on trying to tweak a product to a very specific market, and the chinese who are making this stuff have no way of knowing what our markets like unless vendors like these do what they are doing.
In summary....
None of these folks are scammers or con artists! They sure as heck would not be members of ECF for long if they were not all taking reasonable steps to live up to their claims! We're lucky to have good people out there who are excited about the e-cig industry and trying to build and maintain viable markets for a wide variety of products. They do work very hard, and RISK quite LARGE chunks of their own personal TIME and MONEY to bring us better products at good prices.
So is all the brand and vendor slamming really necissary to make a point that SmokTech has hit a home run with the Dualies? I get enough of hatchet man negative S***T in Polotics....don't really need/want it with my e-cigs too.
I've made over 50 orders from GotVapes over a 2 year period. Never had a problem with the vendor that was not solved in short order. Same goes for my experiences with many other vendors who are members here on ECF.
No...I've never taken money, discounts, free products, or anything at all from any vendor...period. Just my two cents for browsers of the thread.
Dualies rock! Try some.
The Metal CE2, and the latest Giantomizer revision also rocks!
Clear stuff is definately more fragile and doesn't last as long...but they make mods and cleaning easier.
Neither CE2 or Dualies are perfect for every juice/battery combo out there...
They both have some QC issues from time to time.
The bottom line is...they are each a different
vaping experience.
I happen to like both...and it mainly depends on the battery and juice I'm using.
