I bit the bullet today and ordered one. It’s gonna be a hellava wait though, Carlos says he’s backed up a few weeks. I’m not surprised, if this mod is as good as it looks in the reviews, everybody is gonna want one. I’m expecting delivery a few days into 2010, but it will be worth the wait.

The best thing about it will be; “No more dripping and driving !!!”

Correct, IMO this is the best gift I can get for some friends that are long distance drivers.
There problem with vaping was the dripping on the road issue.
DO NOT DRIP AND DRIVE!!!
I have asked Carlos for some personal modifications to my units as well.

So I'm curious about what 'special mods' you requested? I am extremely interested in ordering one of these. I am a 6V head though. I am also guilty of dripping & driving, but I'm tall so my knees hold the wheel well. Regardless, I'm sick of doing it just waiting to get into an accident one of these days.

Hi, enjoyed your review of the Juicebox. Hope you can find the time to answer a few questions.

1. I understood you to say that there have been no atomizer failures to date. Should I order a back-up and are they easy to replace?

2. A few months back I ordered a Smokeanywhere starter kit (after several phone calls and emails and a dispute on my credit card I did get the $99 charge reversed). Anyway, I liked the experience but could not stand the taste of the cartridges they supplied. You mentioned flue cured tobacco from liquid express. I am smoking 1.5 packs of Marlboro regular 100's per day. Do you think that the flue cured flavor will be a good start for me? And, do you think that the Juicebox (size, shape, bulk, etc.) is a good device for a novice?

3. Should I start with the higher nicotine content first and then try and reduce to dosage?

Thanks in advice for any help you can provide.

Your mom said not to say...
Sorry for the delay in answering some of these questions. First off, let's look at the 6v question. Yes, it can work at 6v with no modifications needed, just insert the batteries and have at it. Now, while it works at 6v, does that mean it is better at 6v? I say NO, the JuiceBox doesn't need to run at 6v, trust me the hit on this thing is so strong at the normal 3.7v that anything higher is just not needed. The JB hit's so well, it is stronger than a traditional cigarette!

Nwit, in answer to your questions, I have just heard recently that Carlos original atty finally took the big hit on him and stopped working after over 7 months. Carlos will make sure that any premature failure is repaired, and at the present time he is working on a quick change atomizer so that future models can indeed just swap the atomizer out once it fails. He may even have this system in place already on the current batches he is shipping.

As for the nicotine level, as I said earlier this thing hits like a train and I have found that in my experience the lower levels of nic satisfy me just fine. I don't see any harm in starting out with your usual levels and see how it feels and taste for you. The worst that can happen is that you don't have to vape as long as you normally do. I myself went from using 24mg or so down into the 18mg-12mg level and being happy with it.

The JB is one of those mods that I feel are a good fit for the novice E-cig user because of the ease of use and price. When you think about the price of a regular starter kit that is nowhere near as good as the JB only costing about $20 less or so then the value in this device is really clear. A lot of the other mods require that you already have a atomizer, and are content to constantly drip or fiddle with carts. Not so with the JB with EVERYTHING being self contained and low maintenance. I change my battery maybe every 3 days, and I change the juice perhaps every 8-10 days depending on my usage. Another reason why this makes a good choice for the novice is that sooner or later you are going to want a mod, it's really plain and simple. You know that you will want one so you might as well get the best one around right from the start? In my eye's all the other mods out there no matter if they are a hobby mod or a manufactured mod, they are nothing more than battery holders when you get right down to it. Expensive battery holders I might add, and then compare them to the JB and their shortcomings really shine out.

If you want the best device out there without spending a ton of money on a battery holder then the JB is the clear choice, hands down. There is nothing else like it out on the market, yet it is the best solution for us that I have come across.
