Haha I just mean that I received mine today -- what should I do to get it going

If your a patient soul, this method works well.

Accelerated break in test;

Took condom off and place on threaded end, added juice to just above coils, let set 30-45 minutes. Put on Vmod, vape, and the flavor came in about 5-10 minutes. Vapor was there straight away.

Conclusion; MUCH BETTER!

Soak it down with juice really good first.
The mesh takes some time to saturate and wick juice properly.
Other atomizers don't take as long, because they come with primer.
The draw is different than any other atomizer like a regular 306 or 510.
It only takes a light to medium draw.

EDIT: Tripster is quick!

Here is a tip when it comes to dripping with the AMG Universals after you break it in...

  • Take your drip tip off
  • Tilt your pv (e-cig) slightly so its not completely vertical but not quite horizontal
  • Drip 5 drops and make sure you hit only the mesh
  • Prime it by slightly taking a drag without activating the switch
  • Now vape but this method might take a lil getting use to but it work for me and no more leakage
  • YMMV

Let me know if it worked for ya'll, totally gnarly dude!

I agree Tripster...

Soaking the mesh and not just the coil is the way to go on the Universal (Standard) Hybrid.
It holds quite a bit of juice in the mesh.
A few dry pulls go a long way toward keeping the coil wet too.

Well said, from a lil trial and error I figured to try this method and it simply works...the mesh really does hold a good amount of juice and dry pulls really do keep the coil moist (had to use that word).

OK I have the Universal (Standard) Hybrid from COV. been using both 1.5 and 2.0 . And so far my reg 306 works better. i don't have my vmod and the bottom feeder ones yet. I'm not trying to be a downer, but i hope the bottom feeder ones live up to the hype.

How long have you been running the AMG Universal hybrid for?

Did you do the soak?
They don't have primer & a soak is essential....read a few posts back.

I'm still having trouble getting this started. I understand there is a learning curve

I can tell you that it took around 72 hours to fully break these in and during that break in period, these eat lots of juice but after that you can start dripping from 3-5 drops but make sure you drip directly on the mesh and not the coil.

Four days.

Once you hit the 1 week period, you'll truly enjoy the output these attys give.

Give this method a try...

i don't have my vmod yet. and these are not the bottom feeder ones. But i will try the soaking again.
The AMG Hybrids be it the BF/Universals will work on any 510 pv...that method isn't just to use on the Vmod either.
Speaking of top vs bottom feeder what is the differences? i can use these on my reo and they feed it fine.

You can use these on the REO but don't over torque the atty.

Tennessee :-)
The difference is that the BF has little holes that allow the juice to flow out into catch cup -- and then can be re-absorbed/fed from the cup.

The universal is simply that -- universal. It works on any 510.

The VMod has a unique pressure feed chamber system that requires the BF atty/carto to be utilized as it only feeds from those little holes. As it is 510 threads any 510 will fire---just not feed.

The only other difference that I know of is that the BF version has a center pole that sticks up higher than many and may have a couple more threads......so, just like any atty, don't over torque---just until tight.

Oh -- and another nice feature-----the universal has a gold band on it (plus ohms) & the BF is all silver with ohms on it. Nice. Even I can tell them apart!
