I would guesstimate that I have spent on average, not more than $500 a year on vaping. I DIY liquid and splurge on devices at times. Like last fall with the istick and Egrip coming out and some really good sales on some other necessities. But I'm stocked.
All I have bought this year is some WTA liquid. I don't NEED anything.
It's better than the $3000 a year I used to spend on analogs.

I spend all the moneys!

I have some DIY stuff

But mostly just buy liquid, as I tend to like it more than the stuff I do myself.
probably spend about 100$ a month on semi premium juice.
as for devices.. probably spent about 2 grand on decent devices. until i got my regulated 150 watt.
now i have no need for devices any more. just pump up the power!

Hah! That makes sense. So it doesn't seem to be directly related to big tobacco lobbyist (still a possibility), but still has to due with money. Weak...so weak.

That is only part one. You bet big tobacco as well as pharma are all involved. Big money we are up against folks. Forward this to everyone you know...smokers, nonsmoker's included. You can rest assured if they are doing things like this with us...I'm sure they are doing similar things elsewhere that effect others...like when is the CIG tax going to go up again to make up their shortfall hmmm?

Lets see here, this year to date I spent about $20. My main expense was last year when I started and finding the perfect setup. In total I spent about $500 since last year November. Next month my savings starts to kick in by saving about $55 per month. In total I will probably spend about $5-$10 per month depending on juice consumption. I also DIY and that is a HUGE saving there. Like before mentioned, I also like my juice better than any premade because I can fine tune it in to my taste.

There are 2 questions.

1. How much have I spent?

2. How much do I spend now?

I can't even compute how much I have spent in my first 2 years, but less than I spent in cigarettes (I was a 3 pad smoker). Probably $2,000 per year or so. Much of that was just trying to find the right setup and liquids I liked.

Today I have a few good devices and I only use unflavored liquid. I have several years worth of nicotine in the freezer and I haven't purchased anything for 9 months except an bottle of VG from walmart every couple of months or so. Eventually I will need another battery or two. In the last 9 months I have spent about $20.

knowing what I know now ... If I was a smoker looking to quit cigarettes with vaping.

I would buy a used Provari and Kayfun for about $120 ... I would buy some DIY eLiquid supplies for about $100.

I'd buy some cotton and kanthal for $20 ... then I'd buy the exact same backup setup when I saved another $200 from not buying smokes.

I've spent good on my vape gear. I have multiples of just about everything I own because of coops you just can't buy 1 but several. Both my wife and I vape so no matter how you look at it we were spending 600-800 bucks a month on smokes but now if I spend a 100 bucks a month on vape gear, DIY were still miles ahead. My last big spend was getting setup on DIY juice making with vg, pg, flavors and nic and that was 300 bucks tops. Over the last 2 years I can say I've spent 3K on vaping supplies but still no where near the 16K we would have spent on smokes. Rebuilding my coils doesn't really help save money but made both our vape experiences top shelf.

I was running $150 - $250 a month over the last 8 months. Now that i'm set up with a 30W, 70W & 100W box mod as well as 2 mechanical mods and 12 atties i am where i want to be with devices and over the shinnyitis syndrome. But still averaging around $200 getting all my DIY juice supplies up to snuff. Soon as i'm well stocked on flavors i should drop to an average of around $50, which beats hell out of a $660 4 packs per day analogue habit.

Go to the modders forum and learn to build your own. I didn't buy a commercial mod until my 3rd or 4th year in, when the prices got competitive and they were making what I wanted cheaper than I could do myself.
Buy an istick and a tank. What more do you need? This has gotten so simple, and so cheap.

iStick50W is an awesome mod for the price. My only complaint is that I can't change the batteries myself (from what I gathered you send the mod back to eleaf and they will replace the battery for like $20), but other than that this mod has been absolutely fantastic.

I have been vapoing for a bit over 3 months, so far I have spent under $100 per month. Saved under cigs. I have given away most of my origonal equipment to get 3 others vaping. I have moved up to Evods and like them esp since I can recoil/rewick them. I have enough juice mixing stuff to last me for the next 3 months and batteries for a while as well. Will probably spend less than $50 in the next month.
I have no desire to get mech mods or high wattage stuff. Heck I can build a VV mod if I want to since I am an electronics tech and have all I need to do it with except the 510 connecter and 18650's. but no desire to do so. Been fooling a bit with my mini lathe and will likely build a tank and RDA sometime. Have lots of glass tubing the right size from neon work....

Maybe a wickless rf iduction dripper....

I don't really want to know how much I've spent this year, but I will say I think I'm finally happy with my setups (minus wanting one more mech). Since I bought the VF clone, Reo, and now my Gator Box G-box, I'm happy. I may get another derringer as well, but that's not a bad expense. Juice is $10 for a 33mL bottle and about $25 for DIY supplies at my local B&M. Now that I'm settled in, I think I'll be good.

It looks like I need to get into the DIY liquids. I started vaping in November and can easily say I have spent anywhere between $1,500 to 3,000 just on mods since November. At first it was a MVP 2 then a iStick, then Sigelei 100 watt and 100 watt plus, Cloupor T8, IPV2X, IPV3, then Sigelei 150 watt, istick 50 watt, a Vaporshark rDna40, Vaporflask, now I got a IPV4 and Sx Mini M Class on the way and that's just box mods. I get all my juice from Giant Vapes and since October I have already hit 10,000 points in my Giants Club account so I get $50 store credit :p I have money I have spent on mechs, batteries, rta's, rda's, chargers, etc. I am glad I work for myself and I am my only employee. If I had to guess from November to now I have easily spent close to $5000 easily. I have a bad shopping habit not just on vaping but shoes, clothes, shave gear, and a few others.
