I didn't mean it like that sensay. It was a good logical thought. I was actually wondering if the others were from James or maybe all from madvapes.

lol, sky, i can't believe your luck. i'm hoping a new endcap will fix the issue. lmk - i'm willing to trade caps with you if necessary!

any 4.2 volt charger will charge your 3.7 batteries.

And DONT use the charger that came with the kit- MY batteries MELTED AFTER BEING ON THERE FOR 20 MINS.

The light was red, but I smelled burning. Took them off (they really fell right out as the springs are crap) and burnt my fingers.

OK, DH came home from out of town and had a look at my set up (he's a gorgeous techie guru).

He says:
The charger is junky but fine. Mine just had broken springs (he fixed mine). The light didn't work correctly on my charger. It showed red, however, he tested the 3.6V batts that came with the unit, and they measured at 4.0V.
They were fully charged on the charger and were not placed correctly on the charger because of the springs. This is why the charger had a burning smell.
I explained to him that the batteries were super hot and I thought I needed to throw them away. He said no need to.

OK moving on to the mod for the space within the SP2:

1. Screw the bottom cap onto the tube.
2. Put battery in tube.
3. Place Black O Ring Size 10 from Home Depot onto top cap threads.
4. Screw top cap with Oring tightly onto tube.
5. Screw 501 adaptor onto top cap.
6. Screw on 501 atty/carto.

The best placement of the O-ring is between the top cap and tube because you won't be unscrewing that portion as much as the bottom (i.e. replacing the batts).
He said do not place an O-ring between the atty/carto and the adaptor. I don't know what his reason was because I stopped listening.

Thank you Sophie. This is a very helpful post and I am going to Home Depot right now. I suspect his reasoning for not putting an o-ring between the atty & adapter is a heat concern.

Good day, JJ

Great that's he's there to help you! I would say no o-ring between the carto and adapter because you need to keep the air holes open.

Ok, I received my tenergy 3V batteries yesterday, charged them up and got to use my Thermo! Yay!
I have never vaped at such a high voltage and it's great. I seem to have to vape less and I think I might start making some lower mg juice to use with it.

Below is a pic of my SP2 and Thermo that I decided to glam up a bit. :)

Oooo what's around them?? They're so pretty and blingy!

Very blingy up close and personal. They're rhinestone stickers. I originally saw them at Vapography at $8.99 a pack/sheet (loved but couldn't afford them), but I did an eBay search and I got 10 packs at $20.00 and they're packaged by
Vapography! With one sheet I did my eGo passthrough, these two pvs and have a little drop left over. Just measure up, cut to size, peel them off of their backing and press on. :)

Stickers I purchased
Bling Rhinestone Crystal Self-Adhesive Stickers - eBay (item 130507862084 end time May-11-11 10:53:08 PDT)

Yesterday I did another search using wider search terms and there are tons of rhinestone/bling/crystal stickers you can directly get from China for less.

The O-Ring trick worked great. Thanks again. Be aware that depending on the physical size of your battery, the gap can vary in size. Therefor the Size 10 O-Ring may not be your best fit. I ended up using a Size 41 O-Ring because the gap was fairly small on my sparkplug. My battery is an AW IMR 16340. JJ

Yeah.............I hope so. I think he shipped it out today. Pretty fast.

That's a very nice offer tib but I wouldn't want to give you a bad cap. If that is the actual problem. LOL I know it could just be me but it really seems like the threads are weird just by the way things screw on. I hope that is it. I was a little concerned about the bottom button but I kind of like it.

one more thing ..... i had mentioned the few problems that cropped up here on another sp thread

h8isgr8 posted this:

Well, since it it's a purely mechanical e-cig, the problem should be easy to find using logical deduction. That said, I haven't had any issues.

I just took mine apart to fiddle with it and see what could possibly cause any problems. One thing that I immediately noticed is that the inside end of the "button" just barely protrudes past the nylon insert when pressed. If the battery being used has thick shrink plastic around it then it's very possible the button won't make contact with the bottom of the battery.

Thanks for the heads up because that might be the next battery Im going to buy.
The size 10 is for the battery that came with purchase, btw.

Search on ebay for nail art .. there's a seller in china that has auctions every 3 hours starting at .01 with free shipping. I've picked up 17 packets for .42, another time I got 20 packs for .22, 16 packs for .38 .. best time to look is late at night, early in the am. It's rummi-shopping or something. Takes about 2-3 weeks to get here but you can't beat the price. All different kinds, shiny ones, 3D ones, flowers, stars, fake diamonds etc. Anyone who absolutely can not wait til they get some can PM me their address and I'll send them a pack to try out! Very easy to put on, and get off if you change your mind, but they stick well. never had one fall off.

Here's some of mine:

for a goodsized picture you need to host it first on something like tinypic.com, they will provide you with an url to post the picture here.
but look at your sp one more time. as h8 said it's all mechanical - there need to be 2 contact points made and that's it. on the bottom it's the button that needs to touch the battery, on top the stem of the brass pin needs to touch the carto for the atty to fire.
you said it works with the 801 atty - so the only other idea i had is that your carto might not be compatible. post your brand here and see if anybody else is using them successfully with an adapter.
mine are ce2s, those work without a glitch
