It's actually a very soft button to push, doesn't hurt at all, and I have really long nails :p

Thanks! I was worried about that because she is not only elderly but a diabetic so her finger tips are a little sensitive :) I am excited for her to try it and have fingers and toes crossed. We have been through just about everything over the last year.

Are they considered safe?

NIMH cells are individually vented and even if you can bring them to the point of needing to vent during discharge, they discharge hydrogen. The cells are damaged and unusable if that happens, but they don't explode. They are usually termed as safe chemistry batts. - There can be heat during charging, however. A bad charger or putting them in the wrong charger could be a fire hazard (same as any other rechargable).

I got my new battery end cap. Same thing. Bent the ends of the spring like H8 said to and doesn't seem to make much difference. So maybe I didn't get the right angle? Next on the list is to stretch it!!!!!!!!!!

It will probably resemble a Slinky by the time I am done with it.

it might be your cartos, sky ..... if they have air holes and if the adapter covers them up there is nothing that can be done. zadane, who just won that high-priced mod, could not get his dual coil cartos to work on it. he had to order some fast-drain? batteries .......

i thought you said it works with the included atty which means either the adapter or the cartos are the reason for not firing. have you tried a 510 atty on it with the adapter?

If it works with the BE901 atty that's included, then the problem isn't the spring or either endcaps. It's most likely caused by the adapter center pin not making proper contact with the carto, which I explained how to fix already.

EDIT: This is mildly painful for me to cotinue to watch, so I'm going to make you an offer. If you PM me your address, I will send you a modified 510 adapter that will hopefully cure your problem.

One thing first though, now that tiby made me think. Can you even draw air though the carto properly(regardless of whether it even warms up or not)?

my spark plug is indeed dead. i had trustfire batteries. It heated up really hot in my hand & wouldn't fire. Hubby thinks it may be the fire switch or a grounding problem.

i only used this a FEW times with a clearomizer on it...........and only to try it out, as I normally am using my Reos. I think i'm gonna look at the paperwork that came with it to see if it has a warranty.

Just checked earlier posts in this thread, indeed it was the spring inside the fire button, all smashed down. We'll try aluminum foil so that in the future it makes contact better. It's firing, & all is well. I'm glad to see this since this is what motivated me to buy the mini saber touch last night.
Thanks for earlier posts regarding the spring & fire button :)

Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong, but these are mechanical and have no circuitry.

He has a 30 day money back guarantee.

I saw a place on their site to register a warranty so I think that they have one.

I ordered one and a 801 to 510 adapter for it, no way I could pass a deal like this up that is for sure.

Anyone sitting on this should jump on it before the deal is gone, junky box mods cost more then this deal, and your getting a atty, 10 ml juice, box of carts and 2 battery's, and charger even the tube to make it a 6 volt mod.

And as far as battery's go they will work fine, as long as you don't use 2 together, and even protected battery's have the same faults, because my protected 3 volts that are older, are now getting really hot on me, I need to throw them out before they have a melt down.

Hi tib,

Sorry I didn't get last night............first night of softball.

Anyway, I never tried the atty. I first tried the 801 cartos I bought for it and when things weren't working well I didn't want to use the atty in case I decided to send everything back.

I stretched the spring and the pin definitely comes further out now but it is without a doubt very hit and miss. One time it will hit good and the next barely any vapor. I wish I knew if a different battery would make a difference.

Seems like some are having no problems or very slight ones and others have had to return there's. I wonder if he would exchange this one for a different one. I like it...............I just want it to work.

Hi H8,

Thank you for the offer. That is very nice of you. I may take you up on it if I decide to keep this. Or if he will exchange it for another and the threading is the same. Which I am guessing it will be since he did send me a second one.

I did try drawing on the carto by itself and I think it is just fine. I say "I think" because this is the first 801 I tried. It is airy by itself but I can draw through it.

sky, do yourself a favor and try the atty! using the atty should have nothing to do with the warranty or the 30day return policy. at least that way you would know for sure if it's the cartos or the sp2.
i'm glad h8 found his way to the pif threads, lol - he tends to be very helpful ........;)
