1. IMPORTANT Some new vapers NEED tobacco flavors because food flavors make them feel like they just ate and make them crave an analog!! Some other new vapers do better staying away from tobacco flavors because they remind them of cigarettes. ANd some can be satisfied with any flavor right from the start. You need to figure out which you are. I needed tobacco flavors and I would have never made it the distance if I had started on just food flavors. Figure out which you are and then find juices in your satisfying category that have hit that satisfies and aroma that relaxes you. After a couple of months away from smokes most can vape any flavor.

2 - IMO auto batteries do not provide anywhere near the punch of a manual. Auto batteries are also the easiest to damage or kill with juice leaks. There is a reason why most people here use and recommend manuals - it's easier to get a good drag every time. That's why almost every stronger or high-end PV is manual and the weakest wimpiest tiniest ecigs are only available in auto - auto batteries are more of a marketing plus than a vaping plus. With a manual you press the button in 1-2 seconds early so when you start dragging (as softly as you want) they is already good vapor waiting. Warning - if you own auto 510-T never use its charging cable to charge other types of 510 batteries - real auto 510-T chargers can kill other 510 batteries.

3 - Lots of people start on an ecig that is not strong enough for their habit. Within the first month, and sometimes within the first days, they upgrade.

Have you thought about just adding some boge cartomizers to your ego basic. I initially had luck with the tanks, but then they started leaking. The cartomizers were what helped me the most. They are disposable, but you can rinse them and try different flavors if you want to be even more economical that 5 for $7.00. If I want to change flavors, or the draw gets hard, I rinse them with hot water, and then bring some water to a boil in the microwave, then let the cartomizers sit in the hot water for about 15 minutes, then blow them out, let them dry overnight and start over. Most of my cartomizers last about 4 weeks.

I agree with dormouse completely on all 3 points. I thought for sure i need a tobacco flavor bc it would help me get off analogs. Then I tried a few other flavors at a local shop and was hooked. Also I made the mistake of starting with a automatic more expensive but less effective pv and could never get off analogs with it. then i switched to an inferno and everything just clicked.

You really need to find the right liquid and ecig combo to make things work. It is a pain and expensive to experiment but worth it in the end when it all comes together.

Thought about the cartos but it's been my understanding thus far from the boards here you don't get as much vapor with them. Of course I could completely wrong which I likely am lol.

Hey OP - I don't think anyone has addressed this yet...

What's the PG:VG ratio on your mixed berry juice? When I was initially transitioning off the analogues I found that a high PG juice (which often brings a more serious and satisfying throat hit) really helped. Initially gave me a taste of that roughness that my analogues used to.

Says glycerine on the bottle...not sure if that's PG or VG. I do believe they use all VG in their juices though.

I use boge cartomizers on a 650 ego battery, and I get good vapor and flavor. I keep the egos with cartomizers in my purse for when ever I'm out and about. I smoked 2 packs a day for 35 + and thats what I quit on. I use a provari with a jonboyusmc lava tank now, and a lava tube with a lilmama tank for when I'm home or driving. Both have boge 3.0 punched cartomizers in them, with copper creek e-liquid. I think they are both about as close to perfection as you can get. If I had to pick just one of them, it would be which ever one I put the lava tank on. The lava tank is amazing, beautiful & effective! I haven't had any problems with my lava tube, but the provari just looks and feels like higher quality...as it should for the higher price!

glycerine= VG which gives vapor
Pg enhances TH, Lung Hit
Nicotine gives TH, Lung Hit and need for nic.
If it's all VG then your not getting the full vape experience
Most pre made juices are 70/ 30 or 80/ 20 PG/ VG.

Cartomizers are the only hardware I use. Terrific flavor, vapor, and throathit. The tank system (ego-T) is usually the one that doesn't produce worth a hoot...at least mine didn't. Go with Boge 2ohm and you'll be kicking cigs in no time. You also might want to up your nic strength. Another thing...you WILL go through withdrawal and have cravings no matter what but not from nic. It's from all the other crap that you've put in your body for so long. It'll pass..just vape like mad through the cravings. Also, drink tons of water to help flush your system and keep you hydrated..vaping is very drying to one's body.

That would be Vegetable Glycerine (VG). If it's 100% it may be difficult to vape it well. It also clogs up cartos fairly fast too.

You're definitely on the right track. The MG of nicotine is certainly on the high side. It just doesn't seem to be absorbed as well using just VG. Having a PG/VG mix of greater then 50/50 (or closer to 80/20) would certainly improve things.

One of the things many of us notice is it takes a few tries and experiments to get to the point where vaping works well. Don't fell bad about having a cig or two. Within a few weeks that craving will decrease and the need for one will be less and less. It took me several weeks to get to where I could give up analogs completely. By then I had a system of PV, eliquids and nicotine strengths that worked for me.

But almost all of us found that vaping did indeed make our smoking decrease. From 1 1/2 -2 packs a day to just a few is an amazing accomplishment. Just give it time and find what works for you.

I DIY my own juices but I'm sure some will chime in and there are lots of vendors with the PG/ VG mix. I really believe the problem is with your PG/ VG ratio. Also as hairball suggested buy some Boge 2.0 ohm cartomizers. And after you found a vendor go here for a discount code

Any recommended juices that meet the correct pg/vg ratio? In looking over VV's website, it seems alot of their juices are pg free, except for, notably, cool mint and menthol, which also contain alcohol.

cyndi-Am hoping the store will have the boge cartomizers you speak of, otherwise I will get them online. Seems they are cheap enough to give a try. Not sure how they can be that cheap with an atomizer and cartridge in one...am I missing something?

They're meant to be a one time use only type add-on. However, I've used some that have run for a couple of months before I tossed them. You will get at least a week out of one as long as you keep it topped off and don't let it run dry. Running it dry will cause certain death or a horrible taste. Basically, once you notice a slight flavor change while vaping it, stop immediately and top off...don't keep puffing on it.
