Well, I finally found two losers in my batch of Ahlusion juices. Not saying that the love fest is over because I really like most of their juices but these two fell flat on their faces for me.

Strawberry Vanilla Cake and Blueberry Vanilla Cake. They remind me of when I was vaping MBV or HDV or Deejstuff. Something in the flavors or maybe the cake base comes out almost like smelly socks to my tastebuds. I have their Strawberry Shortcake and it tastes like its namesake, lush strawberries with the biscuit and sweet cream. But these two, yuck. Steeping did not help. Going up and down the voltage scale did not help. New atty did not help. Oh well. I just may not like what they are using for their cake base. It overpowered the fruit and I taste no vanilla, unless the nasty taste was from the vanilla. Don't know. Crossed off reorder list forever.

I have about 20 of Ahlusion's flavors and find them on the whole to be rich, well balanced and complex juices. Caramel Pear Black Tea is my all day vape now along with their Smooth Criminal. (My NLV Gold is still in my daily rotation and fall back friend). Strange how so many taste so good then bam! A bad one. May be my tastebuds.

Oh, and while I am at it, The Plume Room's Banana Pudding, which is lovely and amazing fresh, does not have a long shelf life. I pulled it out to vape the other day and it is dark and thick and the banana flavor is gone and it tastes a little off. Past it's prime and not to be passed on. It died. Got it 6/14/13 and the expiration date is not until this coming June, but the juice is dead. Gone. I threw the bottle in the trash. The plastic bottle also felt a little squishy to me, not like when new. It was one of their smallest bottles, perhaps a sample. Did not last close to the year. Was stored in a dark place so not sure. I have had that happen to a couple of other puddings and custards over the months so maybe those flavors do not store well and need to be vaped quckly.

Anybody else find a short shelf life for puddings and custards and cake like flavors?

You have to register but it's free and IMO, worthwhile. They have one of the better reviews on ecigs that I've seen. You can set preferences to send you nothing. Not a spam site.

what car battery charger? like a 18XXX battery charger? my i4 charger can run off of 12 volts (cigarette lighter in your car) if your buy the right box that has it included, or buy the cable separately.

No, really a car battery charger, to charge the dead battery in my car! (Like so it starts when I turn the key?)

I have two, I use them for hurricanes too, lose electric each one will power a fan or light or whatever we need

Jeez.....

No, Karen, that's an inverter (and yes, they're a lot cooler than a battery charger).

What I was talking about is really simple. You plug it into an extension cord, hook the clips to your car battery, and after about 8 hours your car will actually start. (Or maybe not... I'll let you know in the morning). If I had gotten the high-end charger from HF I would have known that my car wasn't going to start 2 days ago. As it is, that revelation awaits me tomorrow morning.

Lol oh. You meant literally. My girlfriends dad has a charger that provides enough current to start the car even if you removed the battery (and the system didnt need a batter..) luckily my car is stick shift. Had a dead battery. Popped the clutch to start, has enough charge to start next time.

mine does everything, air pump, runs 2 devices for a short time or 1 for a much longer time. starts the car immediately. I had one for 10 years and it died, the new ones were gifts, you really need them in Florida if you can't afford a generator. plug it in till it is fully charged, keep in car or at the house. I swear by them

Oh Karen, you sweet, simple child!

Yes, as a matter of fact I bought one of those as well, the last time I was at HF. They call it a "Portable Power Pack". They rule!
Here's the one I got:

But what I was talking about is that I got this:
http://www.harborfreight.com/26-amp-612-volt-battery-charger-60431-9305.html

And with this weekend's coupon, I can get this for the same price

Damn, my timing totally sucks! On Thursday, I got a wimpy little car-battery charger for $30 from Harbor Freight. This morning I get a coupon e-mail from them, and they have one for their top-of-the line charger for the same price!

Then, all this talk of DIY Juices got me to finally order flavorings from MBW, probably an hour before JJ's post!

Anyway, JJ, do you have any experience with the following MBV Flavors?
555
Black Cherry
Cinnamon Roll
Cotton Candy
Guava
Jungle Juice
Moo Juice
Pear
Pineapple Upsidedown Cake
Vanilla Butternut

I'm hoping the vanilla butternut lives up to it's name; I've been dying to get a decent vanilla flavor.
i havent tried any of them yet from that company, i do like VZ and now i moved onto FW lol ever so often ill move to another company just to test the water but atm im with FW

Good morning, JJ and anyone else who may be awake. I just got home from work a little while ago. It snowed all day yesterday and warmed up enough to turn most of it to slush. Now it's frozen over into ice. :(

JJ, from what I've read MBV uses FW in all their juices, so you're probably familiar with a lot of those flavors.

Ding, ding, ding!!! You are correct! ;)

If you have any of the flavors Mark mentioned you should be able to give him an idea of how they work and taste.

but i dont lol only ones i do have is - counut cream pie
peach
sugar cookie
cookies n cream
monster
creme de menthe
double dutch
butter cream

got a question.. my I4, im not supposed to charge smaller batteries by themselves. are 18500 considered small and need to be charged in pairs? or can i charge just one at a time?

They only need to be charged in pairs if you use them in pairs. I'm guessing the I4 just takes one at a time? If that's the case you can charge them singly.

I just wanted to share something I was told in my Sunday school class today. I asked a doctor in there, who specializes in lungs, and his wife who is a doctor at a nursing home what they knew about e-cigs and vaping. He looked excited but let her speak first. She said in the home the cigalikes are not working and very few will go beyond just trying and loathing them. They'd rather fight the cold and their weakness to get out into the cold than use a cigalike. They've tried Blu ,njoy and as she put it "a couple of no names". She said they are required to offer the patients alternatives to cigarettes but not cigarettes. They have not tried the vaping eGo type systems due to lack of ability to buy in quantity.
Her husband then spoke and said he loves the idea of e-cigs and vaping. I asked what about the possible health side effects, what research has he done. He said basically the jury is still out on the side effects other than he is seeing his patients that vape an eGo type system succeed at about 80% vs the cigalikes about 30% and those that are using either are healthier, blood pressure is better, breathing is better, they're feeling better, in some cases he's seeing emphysema effects getting notably better. He said he'll not worry about long term side effects because most of his patients are elderly and destined to misery anyway but what he's seeing is it's giving them a better quality of life. He said he's not a fan of them not lowering their nicotine over time because of the constriction of blood vessels stays the same as cigarettes nicotine and can have the same bad effects on the body but his patients that vape are overall more active than before switching so he's a fan of that side effect. He said he'd rather them get free from the slavery to cigarettes, even if it's not free from slavery to nicotine. He said he is a big fan of e-cigs and vaping. He said the % that haven't stopped totally smoking but are doing both have cut way back on their tobacco smoking. He said the side effects he sees so far are all positive. She then spoke again and said the nursing home she works at is considering looking for mass qualities of eGo kits but the stigma is strong. They're concerned about infirmed with eGo batteries around oxygen systems because of their lack of quality control standards in manufacture. Evidently those same lack of standards in a cigalike battery aren't a factor?
