Starlyte2, who is the 3rd vendor for WTA that you're going to try?

Would it be Mother's Milk?

They had a really good sale a few weeks ago and I just got it. Haven't tried it yet. I was a little suspicious that it was true WTA at first. I finally decieded it was the effect I was after so who cares and went for it.

Any heads up on how you're doing the rebuild? I'd love to try one.

Sorry I missed this last night.
I just pulled the old wick out, pulled 1 strand of yarn away from the other 3, rolled it on the end as tight as I could, slid it through the coil so that the rolled was longer than I needed, cut it off just past the rolled part, cut the other end to match the length from the coil. Took me about 5 minutes each to get the old wicks out of the iclears,30 seconds each to get the new wick in and cut to length. The old wicks were very swollen and silica falls apart very easily. I'm 50 with 50 year old eyes so lets just say getting the fragments out of the coil itself without messing anything up was "interesting". It was like the stuff was weaved into the coils themselves on the iclears, the EVODs silica came right out when I initially changed them to cotton ball wicks.
I'm off work tomorrow, gonna take a whack at changing a wick in an iclear 30B. It looks like it'll be about as easy peasy as an EVOD. The iclear 30S looks like it's way outta my league but once a coil goes bad in one I'll tear it apart and see if I'm intimidated for nothing. 16 wicks through 2 coils then into a tube that goes inside the tank doesn't sound easy peasy at all.
Edit, the iclear 30B wasn't so easy afterall. Pulled coil out trying to get the silica out, same thing it was weaved into the coil but they were so new they didn't come apart, just as I tugged I felt the coil pop, it came right on out with the wick. I guess I'll be leaving then silica until I can get educated on the right way to change them.

I just wrapped 2 new protank heads. Used cotton as wick and not sure I used enough. Still have a known good hwad to use for childs procedure so im fine there. Last thing I would need is a leaking coil to say screw it and go buy cigarettes. Hospital has officially updated policy and threw in ecig with the no tobacco products. Ok. An apv usnt an ecig though? Lol. Trying to decide if I want to push my luck tomorrow or not. Im friendly already with admins (I was a considerate smomer and asked where I could smoke at and helped them ladt time I was there) so maybe I can still vape in surgery waiting room. Its a stress reliever. They kick me out im taking my child with me. So... they can pick gbier battles. Ill be in a corner and not bothering others.

After a 4 hour drive on flaky snow covered interstate roads we are at the hospital. Max speed I hit on the drive? 45.

Now he gets to go back for a cardio cath.

And I get to find where to vape.

stay safe and warm, saying prayers for all of you!

Good morning all! I can stop driving the Granny-Mobile today, my car is finally ready. After the wheel "fell off" it sat for weeks waiting for Tax Refund Fairy to swing by and drop money on us, and then the mechanic had it over a week. Should be driving top-down tonight or at the very latest tomorrow. (I feel bad for saying this but our weather is beautiful right now, and I don't want to miss the chance!)

Hope you all have a great day!

FQ,

Isn't the "Granny-Mobile" kind of like "Air Force One"? "Air Force One" is whatever plane the president happens to be on. As soon as he gets off it, it's not AF1 any more. (Actually the same is true with Medivac helicopters; they have different call signs depending on whether they're on a run or not).

Just sayin. It might be cool, but I suspect it's still a Granny-Mobile? (Or are you one of those younguns like that mountainbiker guy?)

DO not call a Chrysler Sebring Convertible a Granny Mobile! It is a touring car. So every time you get in, you are touring! Thank you!

I own a "touring car" and when I am up to it, I enjoy touring!

I had a better touring vehicle a while back but it was stolen, a sad day in the touring world

Whatever you chose to call it, put the top down and ride!

AND you can vape without ashes and burning embers flying in your face! Now, if someone will tell me why my hair won't stay nice like they show on TV???

I stand properly chastised. Please realize that riding in a vehicle without a top here is probably comparable to you getting on a snowmobile in Daytona. It might happen, but my MIL is the only person I know who owns a convertible - oops "Touring Automobile".

By the way, I think Salvador Dali had the perfect solution for your coiffure challenge. He shellac'ed his hair (no kidding!) (how the hell do you spell shellaced?) Perhaps these days polyurethane is a better choice? (Only took me 3 tries to spell polyurethane right!)

Karen, not enough hair spray.

I think hair spray is like shellack horrible feeling! I just want it to blow softly to the back instead it whips all around, gets in my mouth and my eyes!
