OK, I have 2 major announcements for those that are interested in the beginner rebuilding thread that I have started.
#1- I have a battery expert that will be correcting my FUBARS when they happen, say hello to Baditude. And if you run anything but an Ego, read his blog and take notes... no joke.
#2- I don't know how to say this with less enthusiasm, so here it it... the Father of the modern Micro coil is excited to be part of the thread!
Yes, experts are ready to help make sure that even beginners know everything that they know and make their vape the best and most safe it can be... can it get much better!!

Anyone want to try titanium wire? I bought some online, and the spool I got was huge! (probably about a mile of wire on it, no kidding).
30 Gauge Grade1, about 2.9 ohms/ft (about equivalent to 25ga Kanthal).
I also have some 30ga stainless (don't really like the taste, didn't like SS mesh either) if you'd like to try that.
The titanium is nice; no flavor to it at all. Don't kink it or you'll get hot-spots that will burn through.
PM me if you're interested and I'll toss some in an envelope. Would be interested in what you guys think.

i also sent a pm, id like to try some. im still using the rayon that you sent from the last time you offered a sample of something (IT WAS SOOOOO MUCH MORE THAN IT LOOKED LIKE VACCUM PACKED! it poofed out to be almost 2x what it looked like...)
i thought baditude was a female? idk. im wrong 50% of the time when i guess someones gender online lol.
The first couple of rayon samples I sent out were vacuum-packed, but I gave up on that. It wound up being much cheaper to just stuff a bunch of rayon into an envelope and pay the "Fat envelope" cost (2 stamps does it). The vacuum pack added too much weight and still got the "fattie charge"! (Not to mention was a lot more work...) The rayon does shrink down pretty scary, though!
I repeat the invite. I measured the dimensions of the spool of titanium wire, did a few calculations, and I was way off. I only have about half a mile of it. (2300 ft is my best guess). More than glad to spend a stamp for those in this group who want some. (You may have to untangle it when it gets there; we'll see how the first couple go).
Edit: I could just wrap the wire around a card, but I'm trying not to kink it (and still get something flat). Sharp kinks on titanium seem to promote major hotspots.

(I'm pretty sure Baditude is male. Been wrong before, and it's not like it really matters.)
If there's any doubt, I am male as well. Just trying to avoid any confusion.

IMO- I do not know what confusion or who might even question it, especially with a name like "TWO BONE HEAD" could only belong to a "Man" . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I would love to try it. If it is the equivalent of 25ga kanthal, will I be able to make a coil that will fit in my r91 and be 1.2ohms or above for my provari? What would I be looking at around a 1.5mm rod, 5 or 6 wraps? Or do I not know what I am talking about, which is a distinct possibility. Even if it would not work with the r91 I do have an Igo-L and another dripper I could try it in, I think.
