Shari, that's rough. Just all of it.
I am in the middle of some major work myself. Only having to do it myself. One, is because of cash reasons. The second is, everyone we have had come out here to work has gotten SOMETHING wrong. And I don't mean a bad cut here or there. I mean like stuff you are describing. So trust me, I feel your pain.
Also, the gear issue. I remember when my Protank broke. I remember ppl saying that pyrex wasn't invulnerable but break resistant. I dropped mine from less than two feet from the floor and it broke-ed.
Since then, I am really paranoid about stuff that breaks. I told you I got the T5, I preemptively bought like 4 replacement tanks, just in case. Yeah, I'm that guy.
Funny, my mind just went back to when I got the Protank. Was still running an Ego and was concerned about the price of constantly buying attys and cartos. I saw a Grimm Green video of him rebuilding a Protank. I got the Protank and some silica and wire, simply to cut the cost of attys and cartos. That is how I got into rebuilding. Then it was the IGO-L. (Still on an Ego). Then a mod. Then another mod. Then a tank. Then another tank. Then spools of wire and mountains of cotton. O my.
Anyways, I am really sorry for the flooring. And the whole, I want to do this, but in order to do this, I have to do this and this and this. What started as flooring is now requiring a whole new rubber barrier in the crawl space. Sometimes it seems like it never ends. I think it is easier to build a house than to remodel one. Honestly.

I dropped my provari with my version 1 Russian 91% on it and the clear section shattered. Big boo boo and I don't have another clear section. Bah wah wa....
My brand new hardwood is buckling up. Contractor says it is humidity. I have a friend going to recommend a Nashville flooring expert to come out and access the damage and tell us a solution. Contractor does not know what to do. I have just learned that we need to wrap the crawl space below the house in rubber sheeting or something like that. And I think the contractor put just brown paper under the hardwood but he said it was vapor barrier. I am beyond sad. I am quite angry. DH is ready to go through the roof. Hope he does not because we do not need another thing to fix. lol Did I tell you guys that the new refrigerator is going back because the icemaker was shooting ice 4 to 6 feet across the kitchen, more than went into any glass or 2 qt pitcher. We are getting another brand at end of month.
This is the never ending kitchen remodel. We have not even started the living room yet. Bah and Ugh!!!
Oh, and my Provari Mini survived the drop just fine (just one scratch) but it took me quite a bit of thought and finagling to get the remains of the clear section off the r91 but I got it!

Yeah, I am in-between bottles and found myself smoking again, so I def see a diff with them. Just wish I knew wholecigs was on a temporary lull in service. I would have ordered when I first had the urge to instead of waiting it out to see how well WTA were actually working. Not critiquing them. I know there are few WTA vendors, and they are one of the more popular. So everyone using WTA orders up everything real quick. And they said they are trying to make some changes to amp up their service to meet demand. I just happen to jump on board at the wrong time lol.
Of course there is another major site you can order from that offers more flavors. I think it is Aroma???
Point is, yeah, they help. And I don't nonstop vape WTA. Couldn't afford to do that. I got into DIY because I like to bulk buy stuff and because it is cheaper in the long run. I vape A LOT (Last week I vaped over 60ml at 30mg). But vaping WTA when I get the urge to smoke a cigarette, yeah really helps. Cuts the craving. And as the week progressed, I found myself reaching for it less and less, unless I ran into a trigger. But triggers aside, I found a slow weaning off.
As far as your kayfun. I don't have a lot of experience with that. We discussed my issues with it in thread, and I did get it working. But I just don't find myself reaching for it much. It's just kinda sitting in a drawer at present. Though I should bring it into rotation again, since I am trying to get all my building done one day a week with a midweek rewicking in an effort to streamline my life and free up more time/lessen time I spend on certain things.
But I will suggest this. You may need to clean it. If there is a juice residue build-up in the airhole, it could be causing a whistle. Or adjust your airhole screw (but you probably have already done that.) Just two stabs in the dark there for that one.

Have already started searching for a good WTA. I am picky about my juice lol, yeah I cleaned it really good when I got it so.... Oh well so far it's not something to stop me from using it!

ok, I am going to let you know that I have to have back surgery and it isn't by choice, If I don't have it, I will be permanent in Wheelchair. Also have more bad news, I have a mass on my left kidney, So now I have to go back to primary to be sent to surgeons for both problems, My heart is ok just have to see him again every 6 months. Still have Pulmonary and Gasrtro Dr's too see but I am putting the off till I deal with these problems.

In the huge never ending kayfun thread I believe I read about the Tobeco kfls whistling. I also think there were some people that were drilling out the airholes bigger and that seemed to help but I do not think it totally fixed the whistle. Lots of people totally remove the airflow screw and say that they like the vape better. Try a search on that thread and I bet you get lots of things to read.

Oh my God, etherealink. I am so sorry to hear this. I am sending prayers and love and hugs your way.
We are paying this contractor a lot of money. He has been under the house. If we needed a vapor barrier he should have told us. We are not from the South and do not know climate here like back in the Northeast. He put brown paper down under hardwood for vapor barrier. Said he got it at Sherman Williams. I was on the site, only see craft type paper, not vapor barrier.
Every thing is going wrong with this contractor and this kitchen. It is bad. We are old and can not do work ourselves. Insurance money is spent already so all is coming out of our pockets for a while now. We are this guy's guinea pig.

I go to bed at night and wish the house would just burn down overnight the past few weeks. And I am the one that usually deals with stress pretty decent. Not this time around.

Oh boy, sweetie, you are going to be busy getting better. I had a feeling about the back surgery, but the kidney is a surprise. Make sure you get back to that dr and follow up. This is good that you are able to get the medical care now. Get it all done now. You know my thoughts are with you. PM me or call me if you want to talk.

Darksparkle, I experienced and read about the whistling kayfuns when I first got mine. The advise I read suggested removing the airflow screw and it did help. The other advise I read but didn't try was to slightly bevel the edge of the airflow hole on the side. They say that completely stops the whistling.
Etherealink, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. It is a devastating situation for all. You have my deepest sympathy.
