Good job etherealink. It was straightforward and easy to understand and the pictures were great!

I have a question. I wrapped a couple of coils yesterday and after mounting them on my 2 r91 I noticed that I think I mounted one upside down - where the legs are going from the top of the coil to the screws instead of at the bottom. It vapes just fine and the reading is 1.8ohms which is what I wanted. Is that ok? Does it make a difference in safety or how it vapes?

New post on my PIF thread for rebuilding newbies -

PIF - Coil & Wicking for Rebuildables - Page 2

Sorry if I upset you by using you as an example in the resistance post earlier Shari!

Nope does not make a difference. Just looks.

Yeah, it does look weird. I knew something was off with the 2 builds but it took me some long looking to notice what I did. Good to hear I do not have to empty that Russian and trash that coil. I can not remember which one was upside down. lol

I actually kinda like my coils mounted that way; when I'm dry burning, it makes it easier to check for "hot legs"... and it makes absolutely certain that the legs are not touching the small raised rim of the airhole. When they're mounted "underhand" it's hard to tell sometimes, if they're touching things they shouldn't.

Never thought of that. I am used to pulling my coil up high over the airhole so I do not have a lot of throat hit. I can not take a harsh vape anymore.

I also think I need to stick to a 70pg/30vg mix. Even the 50/50 is starting to give me a little chest heaviness and coughing. Have a 50/50 I have been vaping in the Russian and added some more pg to it and it seems to be better for me. We will see how it goes.

I could always cut back on my vaping. Nah............

Actually the higher the coil is, the greater the throat hit -- it puts the heat closer to your mouth.

70/30 is pretty good; I can even vape that for a while, but too long and I start feeling that thickness in my throat, then I start feeling it in my chest. I need to stay about 75/25, 80/20 isn't bad but the vapor is a little light, even for me that likes a light vapor.

I might have slept 30 minutes last night. My debit card tells me I have a huge bottle of DIYFlavorShack Holy Vanilla flavor on order. Anyone have magic tips?

Also good morning everyone! Walking much better today but still a little pain and that crunchy grinding going on in the joint. Ugh.

Hope it's a great day!!

Just got home. Fixed maybe a third of my network issues. Waited at most 30 seconds for Internet provider to answer (current record!) And now fighting the new router to see who is dominant. IWILL win this fight. It keeps telling me im connected but redirects me to setup pages. And it seems my desktop was damaged by the lightning. Its limping along. Have no Internet connection on it. Need $120 part to fix. Crap. Lets see if I can get my old wifi adapter to work then...

Fq, just flavoring or mixed juice? Its a good flavor. I like it. I mix a bit to add some vanilla flavor to mint chocolate chip, and smooth it out a bit. It is a dark liquid though.

Thanks! I keep hearing good things about it, but haven't added it to the arsenal yet. And of course instead of a trial size, I bought a 50 gallon drum. I better love it!!

Also got another shipment of Nic coming from Wizard Labs, there might be a few Capella flavors in that order as well, although they are chronically out of stock on the vanilla custard flavor I need for my killer vanilla custard recipe. Guess I could buy a 50 gallon drum of that someday!

Hope you're all having a great day, I'm still hanging in. Knee pain reduced approximately 80%, still grinding crunching and clicking in the joint, still swollen but not as bad, and still feels unstable. Mega doses of anti-inflammatories give me a horrible stomach-ache, but the knee hurts so much worse than the stomach, I'll take the lesser of two evils.

Check in later!
