Sorry if I missed it, but where did you buy your supposedly authentic K4? You emailed VapeRev, did you buy from them?

No, I was too impatient to wait for authorized dealers to restock  I bought it in the classies but I'm still saying the seller didn't know. (I know, Mtek, I know...) but I believe he didn't.

Bottom line, I'm just saying if someone wants authentic, buy from SvoeMestos AUTHORIZED dealers or buyer beware and throughly check the packaging.

Mtek...is that stick a hologram?

I would say no Angie. I do know what your sticker is like though, the auth is twice as thin...it's very very light and foilly. It's designed to be used once (if that), and our counters have/had a sticker that is durable and can be re-applied. Svoemesto talked about it, and I won't doubt second batches it changes. The design was so it would be destroyed upon opening, but it was so light it was tearing on some unopened boxes.

I assume they didn't give you some money back, correct? I also assume their reason is because they paid full price for the authentic, correct?

I did get money back. The seller and I worked it out. I paid a clone price so I got back a lot of money. So I'm totally ok with everything now. Still wish I had an authentic but I will wait now until the retailers get them in stock.

OK so that's great news. They gave you money back, so they either didn't know, or realized they failed to get away with it and went into damage control mode by refunding you. Many scammers would just screw you and let you stay screwed. Hopefully it was an honest mistake. A good scammer can make a killing by pushing clones onto unsuspecting buyers. Must be very tempting for some people.

You are mistaking prejudice and constructive criticism. I don't think there is one person in this thread that doesn't like the KF4, including me.

If this was SM first attempt at a RTA it would be one thing but this isn't their first rodeo. While it is true that the DNA40 wasn't out before it release, the need for more airflow and ability to run at a lower resistance was (hence a S4 kit). With a lower ohm build comes higher current which will exploit any weakness in the path. Just so happens more people are buying this to put on DNA40 device than the guys that will run >.5 ohm builds.

Do I wish the KF4 didn't utilize a spring to pass positive voltage? Hell yes! Does that mean it is a POS? Hell no!

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Please don't construe my statement as saying it was a POS. Not at all, I just think it's going to have more growing pains then previous versions. I still think the spring was a mistake. I also think they will correct it or design a replacement that makes better and more constant contact. With the introduction of the DNA40 temp control has become a reality and since the cloners love copying Evolv stuff, more and more boards will offer it. Cat's out of the bag so I think SvoëMesto will react quickly. The V4 is an amazing device and they should be justifiably proud of it. Not perfect but damn near.

I haven't even opened the package yet but trying to give people help that pay for authentic but get counterfeit and try to recognize it BEFORE they open the box or buy it. If someone wants a clone and knowingly buys one, that's their choice.

I'm talking about wanting to buy an authentic and get a counterfeit- big difference. Here's some pics of the packaging:

From what I can tell through tons of vids and pictures I have gone through on the net and very HARD to tell unless you have it in your hands, the sticker on this counterfeit unlike authentic is NOT a hologram/holographic. If anyone has an authentic and your sticker is not a hologram, please post. All the authentics I've seen on the net seem to be holograms

imagejpg9_zpseb4efb9c.jpg

And the counterfeits even have this:

imagejpg3_zps532f850a.jpg

But they do NOT have (at least not the one that I got) a hologram sticker on the side of the box w/SvoeMesto logo and serial number. Also, I sent pictures from the classie ad when I bought it, both packaged like my pictures and opened to SvoeMesto and VaperRev (separate emails) Both said I got a counterfeit. Neither said what tipped them off (which irritated me).

I don't think I would have told you either. Keep those things close to the vest to not offer the copycats what they need to know to make them even less detectable.

The fact that they let her keep it and to just pay clone price ($30/$40???) and refunded her the difference ($110/$120) suggests, to me at least, that they knew full well what they were attempting to do. If I'd sold what I believed to be genuine product only to find it to be a fake I'd refund all monies and take back the item, then I'd back track to where I'd got it from and start asking them questions.

I gave the seller the option to refund all money and I would send it back or refund me most of it and I'd buy it as a clone at "X" amount. I didn't mind buying it at a clone price and it was easier than shipping it back.

OOHH...smart and didn't think about that. You're right. But, even tho I have wanted one and never had one yet any SvoeMesto product (and I know they have a great reputation and from what I hear a great product) they need to figure out a better way to help their consumers from getting ripped off.

A serial number on the atty would help, maybe a tag on the inside packaging with a serial number on it that can be checked on their website, hologram seals/stickers...something. These clones/counterfeits are out of control.

ETA- I know they can't control others companies, but they could help their consumers by having something unique that deters this from happening.

I was reserved in expressing my true opinions because there is always the chance that I will judge the situation wrong. They might be innocent even if the chances are slim. They likely ripped her off but if not I wouldn't want to spread falsities.

I'm still trying to figure out what this guy's deal is. He bought authentics and resold them at a profit? Same as what he paid? Why would he be selling authentics? How did he get them? Why is he not an authorized seller? Just confused about his legitimacy.

It's been a nightmare for me. My seller's bank declined my refund and 9 hours later I filed a PP dispute, still waiting...

Point is, buy from an authorized vendor. Some like me and Angie didn't want to wait, but it's a lesson learned and I just hope others get something out of it. Thankful I had an auth though, most would not know the diff, but because of this thread you all can.

If I remember correctly he said he had family in Germany so he had an extra one (2 ads same line, I think). It just seems to me that if I had what I believed to be a genuine product and sold it as such only to find that the buyer is calling foul I wouldn't be inclined to just take their word for it and give a partial refund and let them keep it. Perhaps that's just me.
The only other thing I can think of is the German family member lied about the authenticity and the seller only questioned said family member once the buyer (Angi) contacted them and then the German family member fessed up.......

Yeah, I hate to be a hater, but they knew what they were doing. My bet is they made money even at the clone price.

I'd tell everyone my opinion, but I will keep it to myself. I was accused of slandering him in this discussion, and I just want my refund. I want to make it clear, I havr no ill will to anyone. My opinion is my own and I will keep it to myself. I'm glad others are forming there own at this point though.
