I got a pretty high number 07776, but it has triple sevens in it for luck :)

It may have been discussed but I can't find it, did Angiebee and Mtek buy clones from the same seller?

Yes, I received mine and contacted her via PM as I saw she had just purchased. I did this as I was looking out, many would not know they are counterfeits I think.

Btw, serial 01063 bought from Intaste Dec 6th.

That pretty much clears all doubt as to just what occurred then.

The fact that they let her keep it and to just pay clone price ($30/$40???) and refunded her the difference ($110/$120) suggests, to me at least, that they knew full well what they were attempting to do. If I'd sold what I believed to be genuine product only to find it to be a fake I'd refund all monies and take back the item, then I'd back track to where I'd got it from and start asking them questions.
I really do not believe techy would knowingly sell a clone as an authentic! he was under the impression it was authentic

I've no idea whether he did or didn't know, only he knows that, I can only comment on information posted here and in the for sale ad. I would add that I do find it odd that a long standing member would jeopardize their reputation for a quick buck, maybe the German family member who provided the K4's was less than honest to him as I suggested in an earlier post.

I'm just glad there is some discussion, buyers and sellers alike may not know. This is a good reference thread, and a place to get info on how to determine authenticity.

That is quite easy. I never saw a clone with the serial # on the box. And on the Kayfun itself you will always find the logo centered between two airholes on the original, whereas on the clone it will be anywhere :)
