I looked at that. Got to throw the BS flag on that one. Somebody please tell me how a small tube with a smaller hole in it does any of those things. I guess it's maybe possible that you might get a little swirl from possible venturi action but, all that other crap, no way. Pulses at 4500 hz, nope, if it pulsed at all the speed of the pulses would vary widely with the draw pressure. Concentrate flavor, no more than other tips. Flavor and amount of vapor are completely controlled by the coil and wick. Not trying to be an ahole but gotta call it as I see it. Nice looking tip, buy it if you like it but, don't expect it to actually do that stuff. You, might notice a difference based on the placebo effect.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

100 years of automotive carburetors can't be wrong, could they?

Perhaps a test on your part may convince you.

Purchase 2 tips from By Leo. One Beck, and One Without. Then test them side by side.

Believe me the science is there to support this idea.

Enjoying my Beck drip tip, Jim

Keep in mind that Bill is Greek. And something may be lost in the translation of language.

Lol yep. And I use my beck all the time, maybe psychological or what not but I do notice a denser, more flavorful vape. I've used it everyday since I got it about a year ago and not just on my Sophia or Drippor Pro.

Half of our coil build are based on placebo effect. You think that a thousand different coil configs give a thousand different vaping experiences? Na... Some might be actually different but most it's the wow effect.

I still remember doing a clapton coil... So much work for... Yeah... That... :)

Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

I was never into claptons, tigers, parallels or any other fancy schmancy coils. I always just wrapped single strand contact micros. I like simplicity. Hell, I only recently started using dual and triple twisted and only because of TP vaping. I just wanted sturdier nickel coils for wicking purposes and this was my solution.

I only do weird coils because its fun, not because they work better, which they don't btw... best coil is a single stranded 29g. Full contact if kanthal, spaced if ni. I do parallel side by side 32 gauges sometimes just because I have 32 kanthal and its a shame not to use it. I stopped doing twisted because they pop too much. :)

That's weird. None of my dual twisted 30g pop in my Erls. .13Ω, 480F and 28w. I do have a KFL that does pop though. It's triple twisted 32g. .10Ω, 450F and 24w.

I'm not a physicist, nor a musician. I am a vaper though : ) . I don't think there would be a bit of noticeable diff with those tips. Common sense tells me other high end brands would incorporate them into their attys, or at least offer them as acessories, if there was a discernible difference. I gotta respect the effort and knowledge though.

Try a Sophia (By Leo) and you'd know. It is one flavorfull and thick vapor producing "Tanking-RBA" that's been ever produced in the globe. The thing is amazing. And yes, it has "that" conical edifice inside, which offers a "rifling effect" to our vapor. I had written about it in 2013.

I don't own a Beck - so I wouldn't know whether the same could be replicated on a driptip, but on a Sophia it definitely does. There also was a youtube video confirming the same a while back.

Any further recommendations on coil height?
What about height for F(lavor) rather than TH/VP?

*Closer the coil to the air channel = Higher Vapor
*Farther the coil from the air channel = Higher TH and Flavor

Caveat: Much close or much farther could mess up the vape experience. We need to thus tinker and find the best position which meets our liking (aka sweets spot)

I personally find closer to the air flow (about 1mm) gives me better flavour. But a couple of the second hand KF's I have bought have still had coils in them that were some 3-4mm above, and whilst that must have worked for the previous owners, it certainly would be far too high for me.

I too am maintaining around 1mm.

I have a hard time doing metal DTs for some reason. They look awesome but I just can't use most of them. Thinking about pulling the trigger on some Spectrum tank replacements for the KF4, has anyone used their DTs? Are they pretty durable?

I use Spectrum straight tips pretty exclusively on both my K4 and Erlk these days, and had been using them on my Kraken, Z-Atty-P and Z-Atty-U since they started making them. Haven't broken one yet. I don't tend to drop/tip-over my mods a lot, but they've been through a few spills (probably no direct hits though).

I'm speaking for myself (since the subject was brought up earlier). But when trying the dozens of different coiling and wicking methods and where to position the coil, etc...I find very little difference in them. If my coil cooks the juice then I'm 90+% where I need to be. Reports of these massive improvements using the XYZ coil or the ABC wick method are something I have never experienced. The last time I noticed any significant difference in vape quality (and it really was significant) was when Kayfun came out with their direct-to-coil airflow design. Some people like more airflow and I understand that. It makes a difference. I'm speaking only about all the many coil/wicking configurations. The differences to me are marginal at best. Again, i speak for myself only.

True. Nothing noticeably outstanding with XYZ's or ABC's. I find a simple / single microcoil with cotton / rayon gives me the same pleasure vis-à-vis tinkering with other builds.

There's a few Modish Metal Works tips I'm thinking would look nice on the K4 too. I've got a Leroux V2 that should be in my mailbox today. The Von Max might go well with the bulge tank, and there's two or three that have spiral engravings.

I know the Avid Vapor Air Control Stainless Drip Tip looks decent as well (IMHO of course). But that one happens to go nicely with my Silo as well and will stay there.

Says the man who wraps his coils around a toothpick and has no idea what the diameter is. :D

I'm not trying to be a downer because it is fun to experiment and play around with different builds. I did. "Did" being the operative word. After all this time chasing the perfect wick/coil I finally realized the journey was primarily just fun. That's all it was...fun. The builds I started with are pretty much the same as the builds I use today. And isn't it funny that Svoemesto's recommended coil doesn't look any different than what we used in our Vivi Novas? :)

My favorite set up in my KF4's is with my 2 100% PG liquids(changed daily) with 3 pieces of 3mm silica, wrapped 5 times spread out with 30g kanthal. It's at 1.8-1.9Ω and I cook these at 9 watts. Best for my taste buds. Tried cottons and rayon but I just get the best flavor with silica.
At 100% pg I expect rayon kicking your throat like a runaway train no?
