Says the man who wraps his coils around a toothpick and has no idea what the diameter is. :D

I'm not trying to be a downer because it is fun to experiment and play around with different builds. I did. "Did" being the operative word. After all this time chasing the perfect wick/coil I finally realized the journey was primarily just fun. That's all it was...fun. The builds I started with are pretty much the same as the builds I use today. And isn't it funny that svoemesto's recommended coil doesn't look any different than what we used in our Vivi Novas? :)

What does Svoemesto recommended for their coils in KF4's?

At 100% pg I expect rayon kicking your throat like a runaway train no?

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Not really, I just could not get a good flavored build out of it. I tried all different sizes and coils and just got not enough flavor. I will try it some more in the future for the fun of it but silica has been my goto for the best flavor for me.

Builds/flavor seem as subjective as juice preference.

Built a few coils: all 28awg/JOC wick
2.4mm, 11 wrap, 2.0 ohms
3.0mm, 7 wrap, 1.5 ohms
2.4mm, 9 wrap, 1.6 ohms

From my noob point of view, and as a preference to cool/MTL/low wattage vape,
I prefer a smaller ID.
Seems a cooler/smoother/sweeter vape.
From a 'science' point of view, it would seem the smaller ID and more wraps
gives more surface area across the wick,
gets me more what I'm looking for.

Going to try 2.0mm, 1.5 next.

Is there a site in the US that anyone knows of that has the authentic Kayfun V4 in stock? Or do you recommend cloud9 and/or self-e-steam?

I'm finally considering dipping my wallet into an authentic.

intaste has them
Edit: they're in germany and many from the US have ordered there. You don't have to pay the VAT tax.

Last time I checked, Intaste.de had them in stock and they ship FAST (they are not located in US but an Authentic dealer)

Vape Rev is the only authorized US retailer by SMTech. However, like others have pointed, InTaste.DE works out cheaper and faster.

What does Svoemesto recommended for their coils in KF4's?

I'm assuming the same as their other Kayfuns. A simple spaced coil and silica. But they really don't care. It's just what they use on their tutorial video. Todd (the reviewer) still uses spaced coils and silica. I can't tell much of a difference between silica and ... cotton except the ... cotton breaks in very quickly. Silica takes a couple mls to get the taste out.

I torch my silica and never get the bad taste. Just instant great flavor everytime.

There's a few Modish Metal Works tips I'm thinking would look nice on the K4 too. I've got a Leroux V2 that should be in my mailbox today. The Von Max might go well with the bulge tank, and there's two or three that have spiral engravings.
I got two of the MMW drip tips recently. The Stella which I am using on the KF4 and the Rolf for my RDAs. Both very nice DTs.

Woooohoooooo! Just ordered from InTaste thanks to the recommendations and it came to like $172 USD with the P3 connector!

Let's see how fast I receive this sucker. And I sure hope the authentic works well for me!

Congrats! It is working well for each one of us ~ I'm thus sure it'd be the same for you too :)

I torched mine too when I used silica and I still got silica taste. It went away after a couple mls which was a small price to pay when I'd use the same wick for 400 mls. :)
Hmmmm. Forgot about this, been a long time since using silica. Think I'll go try some again, beats rewicking rayon every couple days. Yea, I'm lazy :)
