SOLVED: kayfun 5 Center Pin Screw Not Making Contact
The Problem: Center pin screw does not extend far enough out of 510 connection to make contact. On my problem K5s the screw was nearly flush with the bottom of the 510 threads. My guess is that as the result of tightening the insulators become somewhat compressed, preventing the screw from extending far enough.
The Quick & Dirty Solution: I found this solution on the Fasttech forums, which goes to show you that we can learn learn things from the clone users. It couldn't be easier: Simply remove the screw insulator and reverse it, so the narrow end is at the bottom. Works like a charm! Now, you might be able to get the same result by installing new insulators, including the deck insulator, but this fix is easy and free.
Of course, I found this after spending $$$ on a couple replacement center pin assemblies and insulators. Oh well, it's always good to have spare parts!
Can someone post some info or links to 3rd party sources for K5 JFC o-rings. I've gone through nearly all from my extras packs to find ones that done cause leaks from the air slots. Anyone have first hand experience using 3rd party JFC o-rings?
In the US? I think origin vape has em. Good company. No complaints. Based out of new york I believe. Or somewhere close to there.
Origin and many others have the extras pack. I'm specifically looking for the JFC (juice flow control) o-rings.

Just go to your local industrial supply jobber. Take the old o-rings with you if you aren't sure how to measure the dimensions, or, find the parts list posted in this thread earlier. Buy spares for the whole thing. They are all readily available, common metric o-rings.
I see a listing for a 25mm Kayfun v5 on Originvape. Interesting... that's the first I've heard of it.

Personally I hope it's NOT as tall as the K5, but they don't list that yet.

I get mine at the O-Ring Store:
1 x 11 mm (JFC, top cap)
1 x 10 mm (AFC, deck top)
Good luck. Replacing the o-rings may or may not help. These tanks are leakers.
Who's got good price for the K5 these days?
Looks like I need to pick up a new one. One of mine appears to have threading that's gotten messed up. It was feeling a little "gritty" when screwing tank to base (JFC) and after a re-wick today, it won't thread all the way down (JFC closed).
I'm ...... to have to replace a Svoemesto that's only 1.5 years old. Never had any quality issues with my previous Kayfun Lites. I've invested so much time in learning how to build this tank, and love the vape, so don't really want to research and learn a new atomizer.
