i swear to god I have just taken about 40 hits off this bloody dripper and its still going. Tasteless, and not a lot of vapour but the damn thing is still going..The things I do in the interest of curiosity.....I will dry it out though or die in the attempt...Never surrender..
Finally "Dry Coil" lol, it puffed and puffed but finally gave up. No dry hits at all just lighter and lighter flavor / vapor. loving it
Finally got my Ni200 in and tbh I don't care for the taste. Getting kinda a warm undertone of burnt copper or something. Tried a few different coils 2 different decks. all between .15 - .18 Ω some spaced and some contact but have gotten that taste with all of them. I've torched some and some were not before wicking them and no change. Hoping it will go away after awhile as I haven't used any of them more than 4-5 draws.
I know I have seen some pretty perfect coil on here. My hands are not that steady anymore so I use a coil master. I just wish they would come out with something that would use a contact coil although I have made some pretty good spaced coils. The problem I have had is they work great to start but fizzle out in the end to quote CSN&Y also have had problems with rewicking and cleaning the old coil find it easier to put a new one in.
I was reading the thread. So is there a QC problem with the sleeves? Also does the SX do RMS, PWM, or DC-DC? I really wanna pull the trigger on this but I have a IPV4 on preorder.
I always scrub my NI200 with Dawn dish soap and hot water before I build my coils! It seems to eliminate that off metallic flavor. I've also noticed it to be less prevalent with my 28 gauge Temco wire than my Lightning vapes 30 gauge and takes less scrubbing to get rid of! This is also why once I have a solid build I keep it for a while. I haven't had luck torching or heating up my coils to remove that taste but Dawn has worked for me every time!
It's the same board as the SXmini S Class with some added components for TP, so a flat DC signal. As far as the QC issue goes, I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out here, and I ran my thumb over the slight protrusion..
Mine does this too. My temp is set to 400F but when I came out of the menu it said 197F and then went to 400F when I hit the fire button.
I've been using the new Mini since Friday, every day, exclusively... still can't believe how awesome the vape is. Absolutely fantastic device. Sorry, all my old mods!
Below is a pic of my standard TC build for reference ... wicked/juiced/ready to seal up. Also a pic of the Lemo 2 posing beautifully on top of the SX Mini.
I'm in vape heaven.

Thanks for the tip I'll try that next time. I'm using Temco 28g and the bad taste went away probably after about 1/4 the tank through.
My "ugly" extension tube should be here any day now..I have a cup-holder insert for a tube mod that will come in handy for extended battery life while driving around. It should work well when paired with a large capacity RTA.

When I set the temp and come back out of the menu it seems that it may just be displaying the actual current temperature of the coil and not what you just set the coil at. Once you fire it you will see the varying temperature settings a few per second. Once done firing it returns to the setting temperature.
My guess is that is what it is supposed to do by design. They chose to display the current temp and not the set temp when leaving the menu.
