does the nitecore D2 do a single at 1A??

sorry a bit OT...

...yes I discovered the emojis after 4 months on the forum..duuuhhh..:rickroll::matrix:
Nope. .5a 1 or 2. It's a great little charger and I don't really NEED 1a+ charging but it'd be nice to have. Going to a 4 port is what's holding me back.

Have been using an xtar VP4 for a while now

Will charge 2x batteries at 1.0A in outer slots but if you use either of the centre slots it drops all to 0.5A

I like being able to select between 1.0/0.5/0.25 charge rate using the lowest when I have the time to spare

Just bought a VC2 for work as an backup charger, don't really like the dials & wish I got a VP2 now

I use the Efest Luc S2. Works great, and I love the option to be able to charge at .5, 1, and 2 amps. Just started using the 2 amp charge about a week ago, and wow what a difference. I usually just keep it on 1 amp though, as I have about a dozen batteries to swap around.

Also love the USB out, and the included car adapter. All around good charger. I do wish it had four bays though, at times.

My limited experience with the STM and 1 nickel OCC coil on the SXM

Started off with funny taste, changed to good taste within a tank, good flavor lasted for about a tank and now it's dropped off to near no flavor after only 3 tanks.
I settled on 38J at Fahrenheit 451 Eco mode, yes I'm a Bradbury fan
I did wait 1/2 hour after firing before setting resistance when changing battery & refilling tank
now it's lame with a few resets, changed modes, more/less temp, ...

I don't have the patience to try another niOCC. They go in the BOC (box of crap)
Back to the Arctic .2 on the SXM

Vapors tongue?

I never get VT. These things are the opposite of flavor monsters.

Yes, the first & only KT niOCC I tried could be a dud. It worked for a while. Now not.

Anyone have a great experience with the KangerTech nickel OCC coils or a link to an "OMFG these KT nickel coils are great!" thread?

Awhile back, I bought a box of Kanger niOCC coils from Vaporshark I think. Of the five, I think two crapped out within a couple days. Of the rest, I'd say it was just meh to ok at best. I think for replaceable atomizers, one really needs a different design with short legs and welded contacts (or at least not press-fit) for them to compare with a good rebuildable ni200 coil.

I used them as my first TL experience using SX Mini M. I can't use them for more than a couple days due to gunking that no doubt is caused by my juice. At their best, I don't think they're any better than the standard kanthal coils. Just provide the consistency and lack of dry hits TL was created for. They have never given me that "OMG" sensation. With the gunking I get, they're just too expensive to justify. I'm now rebuilding on the STM RBA deck with nickel wire. It's not particularly astonishing either but after some practice, is working about as well as the nickel OCC coils and costs only a few cents to replace rather than $4-5.

I hope that $4 price point is B&M. $2.40 at evape - Nickel Ni200 OCC Temp Control Coils

AFAIC $1 per is $1 too much if it doesn't put out better than Kanthal or RYO.

Hopefully the new vertical coil heads will turn up in Ni at some point. They couldn't be any worse than the horizontal ones!!

I've gone through 2 boxes + 1 coil (so 11 coils) of the prebuild stm ni200 occ coils. Out of the 11, almost all of them start off with a weird taste for the first 1ml or so. 5 or so have lasted about 1-2 days before a significant drop off of flavor and clouds (I am not a cloud chaser, I only use it as a measure of performance). I've had 2 coils last longer than 4 days, and of those 2 one lasted 3 weeks (seriously, it was a monster coil, and I could have used it longer but I decided to dump it because heck it was 3 weeks with at least 180ish ml's). I think just as its harder for us vapers to make ni200 builds, its harder for them to manufacturer them. Don't get me wrong, I've also seen a wide variety of quality in the standard occ coils (not the new vert) as well. But on average I get 3-5 days out of them (about 6-10ml's a day)

How do you like the Luc V4? I'm currently using a Nitecore D2 and like it a lot but it's limited to .5a charging. I'm looking for something with at least 1a and I've narrowed it down to the Luc V4 (2a) and Xtar VC4 (1a). I understand that 2a is only for 2 ports and I'm ok with that. I like the display on the VC4 but having 2a would be nice, even if I only use it a handful of times.

Forget the Luc V4, thats yesterday's news. The new Blu6. 6 bays and display on your cell. :)
