Ok, next step I shall go posh like @Yozhik and get a ultrasonic cleaner

That will make cleaning multiple tanks easier too

Heh, I never knew my $50 Magnasonic ultrasonic cleaner would be considered posh! ;)

It's a good tool to have. I use it to clean wires before I coil and to get the gunk off my attys. Much more effective than soaking or scrubbing (and requires almost no effort).

guys I know this is off current topic. I just wanted to say after some months my sx mini temp control was even better than the sx mini I have still. mainly they fixed the paint on my new one. it is as good as day one. it works flawlessly but I do await newer technology already. I highly recommend this little gem. I don't really haveanything to add I have no issues with this little box.

Could possibly be directly attributed to different Atty devices. That is the only real Variable in the Equation.
Could also be a totally or partially corrupted Firmware download or issues with the Test upgrade for some of us.

I'd rule out a corrupted firmware. It almost certainly would not work at all. From your description, I would guess it's some kind of contact problem causing "jumping" resistance. E.g. some atomizers with adjustable 510 pin may cause problems if the screw is loose and fixing it may help.

Yepperz,,, just very well may be. It does have an screw-type adjustable Pos Pin but it was checked and making firm contact. No issues on other Mods but I know TC is a different Animal in that regard. Hopefully the Lemo2 and STM with RBA Base will test that Theory on Saturday.
Till then the Ni200 Profile is humming along great and has Zero Issues or quirkiness using the same Build and same RDA. That's why I doubt the Device and/or the build is the Culprit.
But again, all new to me so that Logic may be flawed.

Gots to get me one of those Posh $50 Fancy-Schmancy Cleaning Gizmos.
Do you have a Thread about that I can read up on and then Wear you the He!! Out with questions and Issues? o_O

Seriously though,,, Magnasonic eh? Time to start putting back some "Sock Money"

Sorry, it's actually $40. I guess it's not so posh now. :(

Amazon.com - Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Polishing Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Cleaning Eyeglasses, Watches, Rings, Necklaces, Coins, Razors, Dentures, Combs, Tools, Parts, Instruments (MGUC500) - Electronics Cleaning Products

And here's a guy on youtube showing how to use them, though I always use the plastic try:

Pretty easy, just disassemble, add hot water and dish soap, set the time, and walk away. Also you can use them for steeping your e-liquids, if so desired.

Oh, and you can buy it as a "gift" for your wife or girlfriend, so she doesn't complain about more $$ spent on vaping gear. ;)

Just ordered one this weekend from Breazy for $140. Couldn't pass it up for that price. Silver with black. Using nickel on a dna40 at the present. Looking forward to trying Ti.

Hmmm, nice Angle Yozhik....
And ya know, I betcha that Posh Gizmo is really for Jewelry and will make all her indispensable Baubles she just had to have (like my Vape Gear right) shine and be better than ever.
She might just get the Idea on her own that she has to have and need such a Machine.
She might want one for her Birthday.
She quite possibly could be overjoyed when she opens up a box to find her very own Ultrasonic Jewelry Re-conditioner.
Then, after she uses it the first time, I can suddenly have the "crazy notion'" to see what it could do on some other Things....
Ah the devious Logic and nefarious Schemes of a Man. Are there no limits to the Shame of it all...

I use my dad's untrasonic denture cleaner and replaced it with a nice denture cup that he drops tablets into. He feels the cup works better  Does this qualify as elderly abuse?

NO....not elder abuse at all....sounds like intelligent diversion of resources...and a win-win situation. :)

Will post this here too. This is an email I got from Sweet Spot as to why their wire is supposedly the best there is for vaping. T or F what do you think.
Hi Pat,

The production conforms to ASTM F67. Our test methodology conforms to ISO5832. Our billets start life as certified gr2 medical grade Ti, and then move into our proprietary vacuum annealing process, to remove o2 impurities in the material substrate. I would like to think we are producing the ONLY vape specific Ti on earth, and are sourcing the purest raw Ti possible. We also ultra sonic/stem clean ALL wire in our own facility. ALL re-spooling, cleaning, packing and QC is done in our facility in California.

Our trace elements are below 0.3%.....and our o2 content is below that of GR1 Ti. Gr1 Ti is not ideal, because it lacks other critical trace H, N and C (hydrogen, nitrogen and carbon) as well as Fe (iron) to properly insulate against premature oxidation. Our total iron content is 0.08%....low enough to avoid iron oxide, but high enough to be durable enough for use on a mech.

Hope that answers some questions.

P.S. our wire finish is shiny/clean….but not polished….we avoid polishing as we don’t want the heat from polishing to infuse any surface contamination. On the issue of cost our wire is actually lower in price (per foot) than the industrial Gr1 Ti sold on amazon…..the amazon wire is uncleaned and wholly inadequate for vaping. Spider Silk is just regular off the shelf gr1 Ti. You will also notice quite a few benefits over Ni wire. Number one no NiO2, cleaner taste (no taste actually) greater durability etc etc….

Sorry.. I really doubt that this company has the resources and technological savvy to back up these claims. Do a search on the company and they only sell wire and juices. I even googled the owner... I don't see the credentials. It sounds good but I don't feel like being a guinea pig, however, @2legsshrt is in the market for Ti wire. Ask him to test it. I rather purchase from solid vendors that others have vetted. Perhaps I'm too cynical or overly cautious but thanks for the info anyways.

It does have that $1,000 audio power cable pitch ring to it, but I'm not a metallurgist so . . .

It's gobbledygook designed to relieve overloaded wallets...posted on the Titanium wire, vaping and safety thread about that.

Found this, so basically - they bought commercially available annealed Ti Grade 2:

CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF CP TITANIUM GRADE 2 – ASTM F 67-100

  • Carbon 0.8 max
  • Nitrogen 0.030 max
  • Oxygen 0.25 max
  • Iron 0.30 max
  • Hydrogen 0.015 max
  • Titanium balance
HEAT TREATMENT OF CP TITANIUM GRADE 2
  • Anneal
    • Hold at 1103° to 1400F (595° to 760°C) for two hours
    • Air cool
    • Stress relive by holding at 1004° to 1103°F (540° to 595°C) for 15 to 30 minutes
    • Air cool
  • Intermediate and final annealing in inert gas or vacuum
  • Perform final heat treatments in vacuum
Commercially Pure Titanium Grade 2 - All Metals & Forge Group
