Woo whew!!!! This SXM is a totally different level than the mods I've been using. Temp. control is so much better on this. Stayed up way to late last night fogging up the house. Had to wait til my wife went to bed because she is unaware of my new addition:eek: Going to have to figure out some way to break the news because I don't want to put this down!

It looks like VariTube is now selling the new Silicone Sleeve for the SXM and only $7.95. Not a bad price!

Just ordered one and it came to 9.99 with cheapest shipping option to NorCal. So glad to be finally getting this to protect mine, its starting to get some faint hairline scratches on it. Thanks for the heads up!

I remember that day, luckily my wife has no idea how much a SX M is. In fact she got more upset about the $20 SX tube I just got last week (she thought it was stupid, and that I'd never really use it, which is probably true), than when I got the mod itself.

She MUST not have a clue on the price if the mod of the tube annoyed her [emoji14]

Pretty Nifty little Device ain't it. I ADV at Work on a Mech & RDA Rig and the SX TC still turns my Crank nicely when get Home and let the Mech rest.

Oh by the way,,, Congrats on winning that SX Mini M in that On-Line Interwebz Contest Thingy you won.
Sure your Wife will be happy for you too.
It pays to waste time surfing these Vape Sites sometimes huh ;)

It is sometimes hard to justify spending on vaping gear when we may or may not really need such gear. :) I've found I'm more comfortable with such purchases by keeping a running spreadsheet of all my vaping expenses compared to what I would have spent on cigs. At the end of my smoking I was buying the cheapest cigs I could pick up, If I had been smoking name brand my "What I would have spent on analogs" would be double what it shows now. I update this spreadsheet anytime I buy anything vaping related whether it be batteries, juice, cotton etc... Helps me persuade the wife a bit as well. ;) It's also a good reference for me to remember where I purchased certain goods if I want to reorder them 6 months down the road.

But where did you get the SX tube for $20? Everywhere I see it it's $30. I've been thinking of buying one as well even though I'll probably never really use it. :)

I got mine from vaporbeast during their 4th of July 15% off sale, so it was actually $18.66, I grabbed some other stuff to, so I got free shipping, but with shipping it probably would have been $20. They are OOS now, but their normal price is $21.95, and they have a regular 10% off coupon that may or may not work with the SX tube, unsure.

Accessories | Yihi SX Mini M Class Extension Tube | VaporBeast

And yeah, she never cared when I was spending $14 a day for a pack of her smokes, and mine up at the gas station everyday. smh.

Bravo Vlad

Also, it's good to know others are as obessively Micromanaging, Meticulous, and generally "Ate-Up" as I am.
I am envlous as I only keep an Approximate Running Total in my head.
Damn! I've been out-OCD'ed

Needless to say, the Real Savings IS quite substantial even when afflicted with Excessive Equipment Disorder.

Not sure what I've got going wrong here but received my 26g Ti today from Unkamen, Built several coils at 5 wraps around 7/64 mandrel and all locking in at .235Ω - .236Ω several different builds but cant seem to get a stable temp compared to ni200. I have to go up to 560 or above to get the same warmth vapor I was getting with ni200 at 415 - 430 or so. :( Also doesn't seem to be as stable in Ti01 mode in regard to the temp bouncing as ni200 mode has been pretty stable at the temp limit. Any idea what I may have overlooked?

Would try the Ti in nickel mode mate at 260-280f

If that works it could be the test firmware as others are having issues, been ok for me though

The resistance could be locked in incorrectly and hitting TP too early

I make sure my builds match steam engine but this seems to be a longer waiting game than it was with 2.2 sometimes an hour for correct resistance to be read

+1 to QM.
The Resistances are in-line with Steam Engine. 5/4 26GA on @ 2.6mm I.D. yields right at 0.23 on the SX. The differences I lay on the Atty. Fire it Up for awhile, let it relax for about 20 min, and she reads the same (might vary by a tad @ 0.003-0.005) each time. So the Device adds to the Resistance but doesn't seem to be sporadic. However, that may not be the Case under Power in Operation as druckel has pointed out.
Run at 17.5J and 300* F in the Ni200 Profile and the Resultant is quite Nice and steady as well.
In Ti Profile, quite Schizophrenic regardless of J or Temp Setting.

Paranormal Mod Activity. Hope it doesn't come to a Screen near you

I've used 2 - 3, all on Subtank mini bases that I've never had any problems with Ni200 on, and all coming in at the right resistance according to steam engine. Built at least 5 coils today thinking something must be wrong with my build but they always come out pretty accurately just not performing so great. Running 19.5j, 550 deg right now and it's a bit on the cool side for me. :(
Yea temp displayed is pretty solid running in ni200 mode. Lowered the temp from 550 to 450 with .216Ω coil, 23j it thinks it's at 267 deg. and is pretty solid right there.

Does point to software, although mine as @JimScotty0 does run similar in Ni & Ti mode

Very strange, the Ti test firmware seems to be fine on mine

The Ti TC firmware on the m class appears to e Schizophrenic. Mine works fine and is stable. Several others have reported problems with both the temp level and stability. I have no idea what is going on.

I'm no stranger to temperature control. My 1st devices were the Vapor Shark R-DNA 40 and the Vapor Flask. I tried these devices in temperature control mode and I wasn't impressed at all. I was totally against the whole concept. But after getting to know this SX Mini, I have been forced to reevaluate my 1st conclusion. I absolutely love Yihi's interpretation of temperature control. Imo, it blows evolv away. I will end this post with a question. I have lots of NI 200. Is titanium worth looking into? What's the advantages of titanium?
