I bought mine on Tuesday, and saw the announcement about the ML Wednesday morning. :/ I had wanted an SX Mini for a few months, tried a few cheaper mods, and was always dissapointed in some way. Then my daily driver ipv mini 2 decided that it didn't need it's 510 connection to be attached any more, so I broke down and got myself and SX Mini. It fits in my hand pefectly, the weight feels great, every tank and rda I have fits flush, and it vapes like a dream come true so far.

I was expecting to see finalized a Ti firmware soon, and had hopes of a solid SS wire update at some point as well. I won't hold my breath waiting on either, but I will at least continue to hope for something to happen on the software front by the end of the year. And I'll have a great device to use while I wait, so it's all good :)

It's still a fantastic device. There are 3 that occupy my home. I wouldn't trade any of them for a mod that's currently on the market. Yes, this includes ANY device running an evolv chip. You couldn't melt one down and pour it on me. I don't agree with this new marketing ploy. But I do understand it to a degree. It is what it is. I still love my M classes.

I do not care to keep buying mods anymore. have slowed way down. will get either the dna 200 custom box or the sx ml. the big question is did they fix the paint and cap? I prefer the 350j hands down. do not like messing with pc's even though I am a skilled c#/web programmer. so that will be the deciding factor. waiting on a dna 200 custom box but will back out and get the sx ml if you guys report those two issues are fixed. truthfully the custom box is nicer hands down but I still prefer the 350j chip. in reality the dna200 does more but you are tethered to a pc. plus not making mac was unfair of them. pretty much everyone I know that is a c or basic programmer is cross platform. including myself. I do not prefer either machine they are both fine. however not everyone has apple and pc at hand. just one question. does the dna200 support any kind of wire as of yet? I warn you guys there are some wires that will kill you but that is another story.

The DNA 200 supports absolutely any wire you have the TCR for.

It will be interesting to see if YiHi goes back to an aluminum chassis for their future product. If they stay with Zinc then they will always have paint problems.

I don't know what you mean. I did not mean anything bad. if you took that way I do apologize. I figured a comparison was fair as they are competing products and it has been discussed here plenty. I do not see how I was impolite. I am sorry if I was. I actually really like the dna200 and escribe does not bother me that much either. my personal issue is I need two so I can wait for one to charge. that's all. I seriously did not mean any hard feelings. if yihi listened and goes with an aluminum body I will most certainly own one of those. I do not mean to be rude but mine look too shabby now for the price I paid. I would say which ever one you like or get both. honestly either is fine. I really did not mean to be taken as bashing either one. everything has quirks but both are very good. I really meant no hard feelings.

I'm wondering if the chips will be the same size since I am slowly putting together a diy kit to build a dual battery M Class with parts from Varitube and EBay. Wouldn't mind holding out an extra month or two for the updated chip if it will fit the same cutouts in the box.

Production Update #10 - Tuesday [September 15, 2015] - Cloudmaker Technologies

"they have no immediate plans to make the SX350J-V2 available for purchase to 3rd -party chip vendors, so there’s no rush to plan a Build Kit for these chips, even if the community requests one in the future"

How hard would it be for YiHi to come up with a firmware upgrade that has the correct TCR for Ti wire. I don't believe it would be too hard but I don't think we'll ever see it.
Their response to the community so far has been poor in my opinion. They put out a preliminary firmware that was said to support titanium and from multiple reports it doesn't do it very well. In the last several months nothing more. Too bad. They definitely could do better if they were so inclined. Others both at the top and bottom of the market are doing it right recently and YiHi is missing in action.

It works fine, I don't know why you think it doesn't. What gauge ni200 are you comparing to?

Yihi is also missing something else by not releasing further firmware updates... extra sales. I, like I suspect many others, have just one M class and if they showed they actually cared about their own product and continued support for it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one as a backup. I would also recommend it to others which is not what I'm doing now.

Just as a heads up, the SX Mini battery cap issue has been solved, though not by Yihi. I found a company making upgraded caps in Colorado and you no longer need a coin or screwdriver. An added bonus is that both of them I bought start immediately without having to fiddle around to keep from crossthreading.

Thanks for the information, but I reckon they will more trouble. By design they are longer so will protrude making the Mini unstable and very prone to falling over when placed on desk or whatever.
No problem with the original at all, no crossed threads here! just a couple of minutes of patience slip battery in 1/4 twist back and screw home.
I dunno about that, looks pretty flush:

That said, the stock one works fine for me.

Does your cap protrude? Neither of mine do, they fit flush exactly like the Yihi caps did. The mods are rock steady and don't totter back and forth at all. Since the maker states they're designed to fit flush, I'm not sure about the "by design they are longer".

So I'm saving a couple of minutes according to your experience. I know that's not all that significant but the quality of the threads just feels better to me. One Mini I have came with very smooth threads, a second was not as smooth but OK, and the black one always was pretty rough. Since all are like butter now, I'd say the variation is coming from the cap threads and not the tube threads.

I like precision and the cap simply matches the rest of the mod.
