So my M-class its unable to be used with two different authentic Mark Bugs Gem rta's. This is rather unfortunate considering the price I paid for these. The issue is when I screw them down into the 510 they get about half way screwed down and pop right out. It's as though the 510 on the GEM is to small or the 510 on the Gem is too large. I did some searching and have found others indicating a small percentage of the M-class have too large of a 510 and do not work with many 510's. I have contacted the Vendor that sold the device and they are not responding. I sent an email to Yihi today however I don't have high expectations as most others said Yihi indicates they need to contact the vendors that sold them it. Also, I have tested these same GEM's on over 6 other mods and they have no issues making a tight fit with the 510. Hopefully Yihi has some type of solution.

If you bought from an authorized vendor Yihi will take care of you. If the vendor does not assist you Yihi will engage another good vendor and get your problem resolved for you.
If you bought in the grey market you probably won't have much luck but you could contact Perry at Varitube.com and he may be able to resolve your problem.

Your update went fine, if it didn't your device wouldn't turn on. Eco defaults to the 40J profile when selected on mine too.
I understand the default part now, but that is not my concern. My concern is why do the mode settings make no voltage differences now as they did before the update?

*as I had mentioned before in a previous comment in this thread.

You know I never noticed that before but you are right. I always have mine on eco but I tried the others and they are the same voltage.

I do understand that in theory, the modes are really designed to affect ramp up time. It's just that I do remember how they behaved pre firmware update in NI200. They had different peak voltages in a given Joules/Temp setting. Maybe the new firmware fixed something and they actually behave properly now? Switching between (eco, power+, etc.) modes now seems like an imperceivable difference, if at all, though.

I have had the chance to disassemble a Triton .4 ohm 316L coil and my findings rule them out for TCR accuracy. They do have fused legs. Whether or not the legs are non resistance material is left to question. Much to my dismay, the magnet test is a flop as 316L is magnetic. (at least before being annealed) Whats more, Aspire took an odd approach and fused a 3rd leg for a center tap to positive. In other words, the whole coil is grounded at both ends. I guess in effect, that makes it a dual coil?

The Presets only affect the first two seconds after firing then go to whatever is required to maintain your set Temp. Mine works similar with 2.32 as it did with 2.23 firmware. If your comparing to the 1.4 there was a bug with the Presets in that version firmware where Powerful & Powereful+ wasn't as strong as Standard.

You should be seeing something similar to this. If not you may want to try performing the update again.
Soft being about 85%
Standard 100%
Powerful about 110%
Powerful+ about 120%
Eco 100% or the same as Standard mode

I don't use TC, but the power modes are definitely working for me in VW.

Unrelated question - did Yihi change the finish on later M classes? I got a pink one on a Black Friday sale, and it feels like there's a clearcoat over the pink part. My silver/black M from a while ago doesn't seem to have any finish over the paint.

My wife's pink one is the same way. My Silver/Black and Black/Black are not. I noticed that as soon as I took hers out of the box.

I get around 20k with a lghg2 but I'm powering a titanium fused Clapton at 45 joules and 440f. I'm also using it in standard mode and I have to pull the battery just below half or the battery sag affects the vape to much. It seems whenever I take the battery out and put on my Xtar its at 3.5 give or take a little.
Can u try one lg hg2 with eco mode at 30w from a full 4.20 to 3.60?
