I assume you are referring to a nickel build? Other than being bored, do you change it because of change in taste? My builds have a weird change in taste after a few weeks.

I only change when I'm bored or if I forgot to refill the tank and get a dry hit (which, since using TP, is basically really hard to do). Sure a 250ml+ wick won't be 100% but surely around 90%. It obviously depends on the juice too. I don't think a NET one wouldn't gunk a coil way earlier than that.

Holy crap, what juice was that?

70%VG, 30%PG Strait menthol alternated with 50%PG/50%VG Copsa Heisenberg.

Its more about the wick. Check out the Rayon thread. Many cross the 100ml barrier and some 250ml+ and there are some medium gunk juices among those.

Got an email from Busardo and he is devoting this week to the SXmini M Class. I told him everyone is waiting to hear him he said no Pressure there. Lol. He asked about concerns and I told him everyone just wants to see how this thing works the way only he seems to show. Scope etc. He has been using it almost exclusively for a good week and a half.

So was he aware of us wanting to know about the hum/buzz noise or did ya mention it to him?

28g hardened ni200 8 wraps 0.14ohms 440F 22J.
At times I still gets dry hits.. And when I purposely run the tank dry it continues to heat the coil, blackening the cotton til it becomes crisp. The coil also starts to glow slightly and there is no Dry Wick message..
Anyone knows why?
From Stealthvape? What's your coil id? At 2.5mm id, that coil should read 0.08-0.09 ohm. If your id is close to that, you might have a connection issue which then would explain your dry hits.

I mentioned it to him and told him that someone hear sent him a sound bite. So yes he is aware of it. And I told him of the rattlesnake sound thinking it was using PWM in Joules mode. Also it sounds like he has the review started cause he said he would devote this week to finishing it.

Mine is factory date 4-4-15 which i believe would be 2nd batch and the humming is nothing more than the temp control working if you listen while the fire button is pressed and watch your temp on the screen the humming gets louder when the temp is rising. I believe this to be a non issue, i think since the device is of such great quality people are trying to find something wrong i mean i cant hear it unless its up to my ear when firing. Just my opinion.

I absolutely agree with you there. I can't hear it unless I plug an empty 30ml ejuice bottle into my ear and put the device up against it while firing.

If it ever quits the humming will be when I'll be really really upset. ;)

This is the answer I just got back telling him that everyone on the thread trusts his reviews and want to know what the Humm and Rattlesnake is and see how this thing really works

They will get that and more and tell them I sincerely appreciate them!!

Hi id 3mm..
Connection seems ok, but for dna40 if bad connection it jumps back the power mode and the temp reading goes off.. What happens for the SX? I check the screen it seems to stay at temp and J reading?

From Onedesign1 at Varitube. I believe he's pretty close with them so hopefully will get accurate info in short time.

Every unit I have touched and the test boards we have run emitted a buzz in temp mode. We chalked it up to the constant resistance checking thats occurring because its only in Temp mode .... and forgot about it.

I will get an official response from YiHi as soon as possible. I personally do not think its an issue and have been using the chip for months now. Let see what we get back.

He's had hands on back to the end of January so probably more experience with this than most any of us.

Hey there Nova....just spent 2 days with them helping out at their booth. Yes I personally played with the temp control. The march release will be whats called the M class SXmini with Joule and temp control. The M class is a refinement on the SXmini mod, new mold with attention to surface imperfections. Starting product now. The M mods they had for display has the existing Chip in it. The J chip was in 1 demo unit and also a bare board rigged up to an atty.

Will be posting up info on the chip thread! :)

My buttons make a click noise. OMG THIS IS REALLY GOING TO BOTHER ME!!!

OMG I hope mine do too. I feel better about waiting till I saw how well it works and getting the recommendation from Busardo. He is also the one that recommended I wait till people get a hands on experience with it and from what I have heard so far sounds good to me. Now I have another $200 mod coming. YeeHaw. If I waited too long I would have had to pay $320 if the politicians in this state get their way.
