I thill think I'll wait a week or two before I attempt an upgrade. 1.4 works and does everything I want it to. I'll just let the dust settle a bit longer and wait for a final revision. Thanks to all of you for testing this stuff!
Bimini,
MD5 check sum... the original I received from tech support didn't have a check sum and wasn't even zipped just a raw binary. Talk about trying to shoot a foot off that would be a great way to do it. Ugh!
I got it from the dropbox that some nice gentleman listed as a source but I'm pretty sure that was the same file George sent to him also. I haven't a clue what could have happened and I don't have the original zipped file. I was so damned mad about the whole thing I deleted it and emptied my recycle bin. I'm half convinced this was all about me breaking my morning ritual...I "never" do anything until I've had my morning coffee......until this morning.
It's now on all three units and all three work perfectly. WHEW

I think he took the Blue pill this morning.Great! I'm not saying you got a foul file earlier. It could be something as simple as a glitch during the download - a glitch in the Matrix, so to speak. Which pill did you take BEFORE your coffee?
This whole taste thing is hard to deal with.....this is probably going to be hard to understand but I'll try to explain what I understand about it.Talking about the taste via kanthal and Ni 200. I noticed that Ni 200 gives a kinda higher, lighter taste using low power. I wonder what you people find tastes better. Mouth to lung or straight down? I only do mouth to lung. So I would think the taste would be different too? I have only tested on the Kayfun V4, Marques dripper and Subtank mini. They all seem to perform well but my Kayfun wins for taste. I have tried this side by side and notice a defo difference between the wire. Interesting stuff.
It's hard to tell what wire I find that tastes better. Kanthal seems more dense at lower power (I use 12/13w or 12/13 Joules both @ 320f, 26g Kanthal and 26g Ni 200 hard). But one thing I am sure. Ni 200 uses a lot more juice than Kanthal. Anyone elsae notice this? I suspect it only shows at lower power. More testing back to back to see but I am sticking with temp for now.
Good stuff
Only when I became an Android crack flasher, did I start looking at the MD5 of files, lol.PS. I would trust a file from the source, but they could post the MD5 hash for others to verify if they're not getting files from the source.

E liquids with flavors are made up of a mixture of things that have different vapor pressures (different boiling points)....
When you heat them up the things with the lowest boiling points start to come off into the vapor first in the highest quantities....as the that means the liquid left in the coil has less of the low boiling point stuff...so at a constant temperature if you heat up the coil to a given temperature you get a burst of one taste....but holding the same temp for a long draw will cause the taste to change because there's less of that low boiling point stuff in the wick....but to "complexify" the whole thing the wick is going to try to make up for the liquid you lost...so it's trying to pump more low boiling point stuff in. This whole thing becomes a very complex cycle which depends on the liquid you are vaping the rate of heating, the kind of wicking...and a ton of other things. Also if you have a lot of power and the temperature keeps rising the rate of the higher boiling point stuff entering the vapor increases and on an on. Are you sufficiently confused at this point that your eyeballs are rolling? It would take a long discussion to try to understand the whole thing but you might be able to start from here and think it through as it applies to your situation. A quiet room and a stiff drink will probably help.I don't think it's so much a matter as the taste of the coil material...but the temperatures and rates of change of temperature of the wire and wick that cause the change in taste that we perceive.
Right on !!! The whole juice thing is just too complex to really....really understand. but things are gonna change in taste and oxidize and thicken and drive us nuts while we're enjoying a good vape. I guess one of the reasons I've gotten interested in squonking recently is that fresh juice comes up...wets the wick and then goes back to a cold bottle. Seems like a more consistent vape without juice sitting around in a tank heating up and changing it's compositon. (Probably changes it's composition a little in squonking too but it seems to be a lot more consistent. That also sounds an explanation related to the thickening effect from the beginning of a tank to the end.
I always dump the last ml or so every few tanks.
I use 40/60 PG/VG and it seems the PG (including flavor) vapes off quicker essentially concentrating juice to higher VG/lower flavor.
I reload my tanks with a ml or so left, so the last ml left after a few tanks is super-concentrated.
Down the drain it goes and the next tank tastes great.
repeat as necessary for the next 30 years or so

Dunno what was going on but the new file George sent me is working fine so I'm gonna install it on everything and then have another cup of coffee!!!!
I thought I might have forgotten to set the mode so it was the first thing I checked...but it wasn't the problem. I'm still mystified but since reinstalling George's file it works so......who knows? This probably wasn't the case, but could you have been in power mode when you synced the TC coil? I did this earlier today when I switched from a kanthal build to nickel. It still synced fine but when I hit the power button I got a "resistance too low." I then realized I had forgotten to switch modes.

I found some beautiful cases for the SXM and other mods too by an Italian craftsman who lives in the Naples area. They all appear to be hand crafted and very well made and designed. I am not sure how to purchase them or if he would be able to ship them overseas but they are nice eye candy nonetheless.

Is Gearbest in China and are they known to sell counterfeits?
I've seen them mentioned but wasn't interested ATT.
I see a killer deal on batteries but have only ever bought them from RTD & ProVape.
Rewrapped junk batteries are the last thing I'd want.
Thanks
