Wow - that's a lot of power in a fairly small box.

It's even smaller than it looks. Fits in your grip perfectly & much more comfortably the the sxmini.

Yesterday was my day to try TC. This is the future of vaping. Adding coil temp as a variable opens up a whole new world of flavor. You are no longer selecting the good enough wattage. You select the best wattage and temp cutoff and get the best vape.

I'm so exstatic. My juice is tasting great at a higher wattage. Much better then with a kanthal. It's letting me dial in the vape I want, not settle for the best available.

I am getting the buzzing in TC mode with a .16ohm coil. It's just slightly annoying. You only hear it the 1/2 second before the coil heats up.

Going through batteries like crazy. Can I use the purple Efests with this? The ones marked as 35A? I know some say they're overrated.

I use the Purple Efests 35A and I think they are the best batteries I have. They run cool and last longer than my other batteries. (subjective opinion).

That's what I noticed. I thought I was crazy. They last about 25% longer then my MNKE's and VTC5's on my other devices.

Footbag,

I don't know how the Efest got such a bad wrap... But I just tried some new MXJO 35A 18650s and so far IMO they are junk compared to the Efest.

MXJO... That's what I meant. Yellows. The shop said they were the best. Then the other shop got some VTC5's in. They appear legit. But, the performance wasn't nearly as good as the Efest 35A. Now, I'll have to try them in this device.

footbag,

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Efest. But as far as the MXJOs (the Yellow ones) being the best I have some serious reservations about that claim. Actually if by "shop" you mean the local B&M I have some serious reservations about what those folks say also. Don't get me wrong they are nice folks but IMO not necessarily the most knowledgeable.

I think you are better off taking what you read here and doing a quick mental average of good and bad remarks and go with it. Caveat, even here though Efest seems to take a hit on the bad side and from personal experience can find no reason for it. The only problem I have ever had with the Efest is they would not fit in my Vapor Flask but used in the battery hungry SX they are the best. For what it is worth I run the SX at 25 joules with a 0.1 ohm Ni200 coil.

Are you cleaning the positive post on the RBA portion of the deck assembly as well as pulling the Brass positive pin from the lower portion and cleaning that as well? I'll push the Brass pin out every few builds and buff both ends of it where it contacts the RBA and where it contacts the device I'm attaching it to.
Vlad this is very weird. These are brand new airflow bases with the 2 air slots. One reads right on what I have built the other reads approx .03 higher. I have cleaned everything 2 or 3 times to no avail. I just dont get it. That throws my build from .08 to .11. I suppose it is usable but what the hell is going on. Never had this problem with the very first STM's that came out.. This is using the same RBA in each one. Something is causing more resistance.

My only experience with efest was in the 18350 range and curiously they blew anything else out of the water. Better than my aw, better than even my torchies which were considered 'la creme de la creme' in the battery world.

I always take what I hear from someone trying to sell me something with a grain of salt. I actually don't go to to many B&M's. I've been vaping since before many of them existed and I like some of my current online vendors. But, I also do try and throw them a bone every so often. It's nice having them around in case of emergency.

Only other thing I can think of is the length of the Brass pin. One may be slightly shorter and not quite making the solid connection the other does. You could check if this is the problem by pulling the pin from one that's always consistent and placing it in one that's not. I've not seen the new ones though so I'm not sure the size and design are the same or not.

Tony,

Your mention of the AWs reminded me that I started using the AW because that is what was recommend by Pro Vape for use in the Provari. I saw and ad for the Efest and they sounded much better than the AWs (besides they had them on sale at a really good price) so I gave them a try.

No regrets and never went back to the AWs

Yes Sir, they do. Actually I don't know if they come in nipple tops all I use are flat tops in everything I have.

At the time I started buying the AWs from Provari the nipple tops usually were associated with non IMR protected batteries. So I just got in the habit of always buying "flat tops".
