What gauge wire? The first video posted was showing a .26Ω coil and the last one .23Ω if I seen it correctly. The last video I believe was a 7/8 wrap coil which even for 30 gauge would need to be 10/11 wraps on a 3mm mandrel to get to the displayed resistance but the wire appears to be at least 28 gauge to me. In addition, not getting "Dry Coil" warning is indicative of using the wrong wire or not doing the atty sync or something of that nature.
Have him build a coil and verify it's sync's out close to what Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators says it should be.
No, 50j max. 40j max in Eco mode I believe regardless if one battery or two.

Bad wicking can also make TC act goofy, such as if the wicking is allowing the chamber to flood.
omg omg omg VTC5s! I saw them show up on the US retailers recently, checked all my fave UK shops and none had them. Didn't even think to check eBay what with all the fakes. But I've used Ecolux before, just last week in fact for my first 18350s.

So Pioneer4You just released a firmware upgrade on the IPV3Li, which uses the SX330-v3sl chip:
- support at 200W in Power mode.
- support for Nickel and Titanium in Joule mode.
Thus, I'd expect a similar upgrade for the SXM soon, except maybe on the power - don't know offhand what wiring is needed for 200W.

With the upgrade did the "feel" of the modes change for anybody? Soft,standard, powerful & powerful + all seem the same to me. Also getting a lot less battery life, was getting 34kJ on v1.4 but only about 20kJ on v2.2. Thinking a re flash or downgrade is in order?
Interesting. I upgraded mine after a few puffs and playing around with v1.4. I saw some guys saying they're getting 30kJ but I could barely get to 20kJ after v2.2 with LG HE2 batteries.
I got 20 to 21kJ with the same batteries before the update. On Eco mode after the update, I get over 24kJ. However, one's results depend on what you're using for a coil and your settings.
mine was the same rda and same coil before and after the upgrade. On Eco the best I can get is a little over 20kJ
