Now you've done it. We'll end up seeing this design at FT, GB or Focale in a few weeks touted as a Limited Edition 'Styled' Mini
Anyone using a new style STM (with the rba Mini + section with the holes in it?)
I had three STMs when they first came out earlier this year. I sold them/gave them away, as I could never get a good connection with any of my TP mods using the rba section. Resistance on my coils should be right around .19ohms, on the STM they jumped all around between .3 and .4. Not good. Tried shimming to make a more solid connection, adjusting the grommets, tightening the center pin to the base, etc. and could never get a solid connection.
I recently purchased one of the new STMs (the flat white with the new RBA section) thinking that they would have these issues worked out by now ... no go. On my SX Mini M, my Vapor Flask, my Protovapor XPV40 ... same thing. Resistance jumping everywhere, so poor connection. I really want to like the STM!! Any tips/pointers?
Coming in July...
The build deck that came with my original ST was nearly 1mm. shy of contacting the ST base. The replacement base and deck gets good contact on my SX Mini and one of my SX350 mods. It doesn't read on my two rDNA40s nor one of my SX350 mods and only makes intermittent contact on another SX 350 mod with fluctuating resistance. Good contact seems to depend on the length/spring strength of the 510 connector on the mod.
Pre-built Ni200 OCC heads from three packages all make good contact for me but other people have reported connectivity issues. It sounds like Kanger has not stepped up their QC with the new ST regarding solid connections. You might want to check with your vendor.

Nice. Hope it will have more choices in the release firmware thoughFor those Ti enthusiasts, Varitube "Onedesign1" posted this a bit ago.

Do you actually read this as being official anywhere?
Just jumped on the Ti bandwagon a few days ago. Even vaping it right now on the Sx, but actual support for it would be pretty sweet (kinda figured they'd sell us out and try to cash in again with a new mod. SX T Class or some crap).
Hmmm I have't a clue what the problem could be. I have both full size and mini Subtanks and haven't had contact/resistance problems with multiples of each type on any mod.
I know that isn't helpful to you and I wish I could make a suggestion. Something definitely weird is going on.

I don't understand the issues that others are having with Subtanks either but mine are all from some of the first days and they are the best tanks I have by a long way. Maybe the quality control isn't up to snuff now and if that's so then it's truly too bad because they can be great tanks. I'm glad I have mine.I don't have any issues with subtanks either
In fact the opposite as they give the most consistent readings out of all my tanks
They are not keen on Ti Clapton coils Yet ... work in progress![]()

The Subtank RBA's that work great for me are all the tiny juice holes/slots in the bottom. I don't have any with the big holes up near the coil.Ahh I see it is the RBA base with the holes in it I don't have any of those I have 5 extra RBA bases but none have the new holes in them. That is what you guys are talking about correct not the dual airflow bases. All mine are the older ones with the little tiny juice holes. Correct me if I am wrong but that is what you are talking about that have the problems the rba deck with the holes in the sides. Am I right or wrong please tell me I don't want to have any problems I am going on a month and a half vacation and don't want to find out this problem while I am away.
