If you don't believe it stick your atty in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes and check the resistance.
Has anyone heard anything about YiHi upgrading their firmware. It would be nice of them to at least update us hardcore SXM users with something.
It is more like a weapon. I would be more worried about losing his 2 Jewels rather than the additional Joules after that puff! lolAnd he's not worried about burning his lungs or throat. I'd be afraid of catching on fire.
I am a fiend though. I have a .1 coil at 46j 520f and powerful+ lol. that is all I need though. I do not need to go higher that is my sweet spot so no 200 watts for me right now. I would gather most people think I am already very hot on that coil.
So I just need a male 510 to ego thread adapter & then just screw it on as connector & see if there is a difference in performance? The Lemo 2 relies on the pin in the AFC base being pushed into contact with the center pin of the build deck. Spring-loaded 510 connectors may not have the resistance necessary to make the connection a good one. To test if this is the issue, use a 510-Ego adapter. If it is an issue, it may be corrected by pounding the 510 pin of the AFC base (e.g., with a rubber mallet, heavy book) to reseat the pin within the insulator.
Ok, now let's start the two month countdown to when I post this answer yet again.![]()
Problems continue.........
I am still battling this l lemo2 or SXMM OR NICKEL. Put on a new coil 6 wraps, 3mm, 28g ni200. The first resistance I set was .08. Close to what I thought. I vaped for a few minutes set at 400f & 12j. Then raised temp up & joules. All the way to 450f. Next I set down mod for awhile & checked resistance again. This time it was all the way up to .10. Set resistance & vaped. There was vapor but not like it should be & flavor was zero. Anyway, I vaped just to see if I could maybe break coil in or something. Checked resistance before I went to bed. It was back down to .084. This morning right off the bat I checked resistance & it was at 0.10. Then waited a bit & it was at a 0.9. Anyway I set resistance & vaped. Vapor was coming out but no flavor. I set temp to 450 and started playing with joules. Which didn't make a difference. From 7j to 20j temp hit 450 within 2 seconds. The same thing happened last night with joules. I was going really low joules & even at 460,475. It would hit temp within 2 seconds. This is exactly what happened with last coil. It would read around .2 difference. Now if it was .02 I would understand. So I am not sure if it is Lemo, SXMM or just my coil, which I know it is tight. The very first build I did on lemo2 was around a .1ohm. The whole time I used that coil over the next week it always read between .107--.111. So I know everything was working with this set up at one point. I don't have another TC mod so I can't check that. Any thing I can check?
I think it might be the pins not making a good connect I don't have an ego right now so trying to research about this. I THINK wicking is fine. I have been using Lemo 2 with Kanthal before this & haven't really had wicking issues. I did leave a part out in my saga. Last night before I went to bed after vaping pretty much tasteless vapor trying to get it to work. I set it down. After a few minutes I picked it up & it was like someone flipped a switch. Flavorful Vape & vapor. I thought finally!! Went to bed. This morning though back to all the problems again.
Sounds more like issues with the Lemo 2 than the SXM to me. Someone mentioned screws you can buy from Amazon that you can use with the Lemo 2 to better grip the nickel wires (if you're using the post holes, that's a big no no). Flavor problems otherwise are usually do to bad wicking. With the Lemo 2, the best wicking is one where the wick sort of ends just about where the wick ports are. Also fanning the end of the wick helps too. There's videos on YouTube that explain how to do it.
