I don't know how this 2.32 works in nickel mode cause I switched to titanium before it came out and never went back but I did check mine and in eco it was putting out 2.76v and in P+ same J setting was putting out 3v. But like I say I've never use NI200 mode.
Guess I'm just a little concerned that the update went wonky.

Congratulations! I think you'll really enjoy the SX.

First of all, it more than holds its own as a VW device, so don't feel like you have to use it in TC just because you have it. I tried it out, discovered that I personally prefer kanthal, and still use it as my daily driver (although I'll likely try it again soon, as TC is still evolving rapidly).

Anyways, Ni200 and titanium are still the most prevalent TC wires, but the consensus seems to be shifting over to stainless steel. There are health concerns about overheating Ni and Ti (so no dry burning) which don't seem to apply to SS. Also, Ni200 is relatively soft and can be a pain to work with.

Resistance doesn't matter as much with TC. It will be lower, but that's okay - SXMM can fire coils as low as 0.05 ohm in TC mode. Since the mod is regulating temperature, the resistance won't have nearly as much of an effect on your vape as your temperature setting and your coil's surface area.

I'd keep your nic concentration the same, at least at first. I personally use 6mg juice, and it works for me both in VW and TC. You can always get lower concentration later if you need to (or mix what you have with 0mg to lower it).

Finally, I'd recommend checking out the SXMM review by pbusardo (think it's a 2-parter). The device is relatively simple to use for all of its functionality, but there's still a fair amount to learn to get the most out of it.

Hat tip to vapo jam for a very thorough and helpful reply.

Need help. Just got my sx mini mclass and I can't get it to download. I have windows 7 and it just keeps saying it can't open file. Can't get the sxi driver or anything. I looked back to page 422 and thought that advice would help but no luck. Don't understand why this can't be a simple thing. I also looked at pbusaurdo's video and I can't open the sxi driver so that doesn't help. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

My update was simple. Of course I'm running XP Pro. I even did something that most people said not to do. I downloaded the driver and the update to my phone. Extracted the files from my phone to my PC and it worked like a charm.

I am hoping 3rd time lucky with the sx mini, 1st I had the s class sx mini, that lasted a few months till juice got into the board and fried the board, then because I liked the form of it but didn't want to spend $200 again, I bought a clone, which ended sticking in firing mode, but at least got refunded for that one.

Wasn't going to bother with another one, but when saw vaporkings deal for $99.95 and found I had $8 in credits from them, I couldn't say no, so got the sx mini m class for $91.95 and still got free shipping due to shipping being calculated before discounts, and added bonus they are only 1 state away from me, ordered Thursday and will be here tomorrow :thumb:

I got mine from vaporkings also and I ordered on thanksgiving and it arrived today on a Sunday which REALLY suprised me. Vape Mail on a Sunday that doesn't happen unless it's Christmas time. Updating it was a lot of fun but now that it's all good I'm happy with it. Gonna have to compare between this and my dna200's to see what one I like more but so far I love the feel and look of it. And it's powering my dual titanium claptons in my crius so it's off to a good start.
