To the best of my knowledge there was never a ver 1.9 released where are you getting that from? Also can you link to the SXI installer and Firmware you are trying to use?
Here are some different approaches you may try to update. If all else fails you can contact your vendor if it's failing, it's still under warranty.
I tried both the links from yihiecigar and yihisxmini and download the firmware for 120W update for sx mini m class. I can install the SXi software and my computer can detect my mod is plugged in, but SXi always tells me "No device" when I pressed connect.
For the version 1.9, that's the version it showed when I hold the fire button while tightening the battery cap.

Thinking you may potentially have a clone there then. I'm a little foggy still this morning and only 1 cup of coffee but if I recall correctly there never was a 1.9 for the M class. Released with 1.4, a few later updates of 2.21, 2.2 and currently 2.32. I'd suggest you contact your vendor or Yihi Cservice@yihisxmini.com
Try a different USB port. I found/read that the software does not like USB3 ports and as soon as I moved the cable to a USB2 port it worked fine.

For what it is worth I was going to post last night that I had never heard of V1.9 either. I didn't say anything out of an abundance of insecurity.
If there was I must of missed it. I've saved all updates I've done and since posting earlier this morning I've went through those files as well as the test updates and don't see a 1.9 anywhere. For some reason I am thinking the S class may have had that ver but IDK for sure and never had that device so haven't really kept up on it.
Pretty much the same situation here. I checked all my old files also and no V1.9. The way "vaperape" stated it makes me wonder where he came by the unit. I believe he said "I acquired" it which makes me thing he got it thru other than a normal vendor.
All that aside I seem to also remember some folks that attempted the original upgrades went thru several USB cables, and assorted other problems getting the unit to connect. So if "vaperape" is not a Techie he may have to just take it into a shop and see it they can figure out his connection issues.
I will say that last night when I was trying to come up with an answer for him looking at YiHi down-load site with the addition of the SXmini-ML it is more than a little confusing to figure out what software works with what unit.

Well part of the problem is that is not an SXmini M class board in your SXMini M class case.
I believe you will have to use the YiHi SX-J update software and update firmware. You should probably start a chat with the YiHi Tech support people. They are live on-line and can probably tell you how to proceed.
where did you buy that mod? I ask because I wonder if someone sold you a clone. there's a SX-M clone out there now that's bang on, spring loaded 510 and everything.... probably not a clone, just a thought

I am not sure what it means. But I will say if you go on line live with the support folks they will be able to help you work out what is going one.
Have you got SXi 2.3.0 also when you connect the mod make sure link is on and press connect on the SXi software.

I can't find the v1.9 on the yihiecigar website either. Sounds fishy to me. It's amazing when the Chinese clone themselves.
Does it have any modes on it like NI200 if it does and it has TC you should be able to use it for other wires using temp offset which is shown on SE
