@Jake67

I haven't read all the posts but initially what I've read you're reporting the device isn't getting to the temperature you've set?

First thoughts
Make sure the coil your using has a solid mechanical connection. (not a compressed fit pre-built coil)
Make sure your 510 on the atty and on the device are clean
Make sure to let the device and atty sit for 10 - 15 min before locking resistance, where they are both at the same room temperature
Set Compensate to your actual room temperature. Google
If you cant get the vendor to give you the specific TCR try Steam Engine Wire Wizard | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators or one of @Quantum Mech suggestions, either should get you close unless you have been sent the wrong wire.

If the coil resistance or compensate temperature are set incorrectly, once you apply power to the coil the difference in the rise of Ohms that the device detects will be less if those variables are incorrect.

For example if I have a known good .08Ω Ni200 coil it will go to about .16Ω with power applied. But if I lock in the resistance at .11Ω as soon as I'm done building it when I apply power to it the resistance will only rise by about .05Ω so the device will think the resistance (temperature) has only increased slightly and reflect that in the temperature display. If I wait and set it at .08Ω the resistance will increase by about .08Ω so the device thinks the resistance (temperature) has increased much more and again will reflect that.

What kind of a tank is this guy using. I got in kinda late. If it's an STM I might have some ideas.
I was using the Uwell Crown. Went back to my STM used the NI200 preset and all is right in my world again. I guess 3 months of non temp control vaping turned my brain to jello.
Thanks for the speedy reply. The people in this thread are the best!!!!
Happy New Year.

Cool ya gotta love the STM all I use anymore. Although the Crown is supposed to be a great tank also. Been thinking of getting one but I really don't need it with 12 STM's

I have a few STMs, but find they never get vaped after getting my Crowns with the RBA. The factory coils are nice, but I'm being as self-sufficient as I can and actually like the RBA better.
Shoot, with all you have in the warehouse, grab a couple of Crowns and the RBA. I think the STMs will rest safely in storage.

I have a couple Crowns as well as a few STM all being used with a RBA deck and use and like them both. STM is slightly smaller and I get a little warmer vape out of them than I do the Crowns at the same settings so I tend to like the STM's more with bakery type juices, They're also a little easier building on for me (mostly wicking). The Crown's machining is much better and has much more air flow for the lung hitters and the top fill just makes it easier for refilling. I think they're both good tanks and will continue using both until I find something to replace them. :) but no storing of any of them for me atm.

Whelp, I think my DNA 200 chip decided to kill itself just now. Makes me appreciate YiHi quality all the more.

Hope you get it worked out, I hear they're really good with the RMA process.;) Also believe I seen somewhere the hardware on the DNA200 board has changed somewhat (don't quote me on that) but perhaps if it has they'll be less prone to the random deaths.

The most disconcerting part was watching smoke come out of the USB port. Otherwise, the mod is being taken care of under warranty. Meanwhile, the SXM is still running strong after 9 months. Definitely the best return out of any mod that I've owned.

Am so glad I have not buckled & bought a mod just so I can play with software I don't need

Sorry to hear of your loss though @Yozhik

Turn it up to hear the official theme tune

Yup the magic smoke isn't something we want to see, unless a genie comes out with it to grant 3 wishes and I've never had that happen. But glad your getting it taken care of under warranty. Now back to the thread topic... folks strolling by here are gonna think the SXM smokes from the USB.;)

Same here with my SXM is still a rock solid performer. I picked up an SXmini ML the other day and it seems to just take it up a notch. So I'm back to SXM and SXML in my rotation. You might take a look at the Ml if you appreciate the consistency, reliability and features of the SXM.

I don't see anything new in the ML-class that I need/want, so I'll be waiting to see what the next big thing is for YiHi in 2016 and vaping happy on the M-class until then. ;)

Like a dual 18650 mod? :) Hopefully with more than a 500mA charger. Even ProVape has an 800mA charger on the Radius, leaving pretty much everyone else in the dust.

Yea I kind of had the same thoughts as you but my secondary device decided to give me another dry hit about the same time I came across a pretty good discount on the ML so went ahead and grabbed one. So ML in one hand M in the other and now my old secondary has become a build station.
