Decided to Mod the Mod. I didn't like how low the carto was sitting in the tank....I wanted the carto to sit flush with the top cap so I threw the tank in my lathe and turned it down a bit, Eased the edges on the caps and then hit the tank with some scotchbrite to give it a satin finish. I like it much better this way. I only lost a little bit of the capacity....Maybe a 1/2 mil. What do you think?

Wow, my first impression, honestly... ewwwww... But actually, I kinda like it. It's like your liquinator is wearing shades, ejuice shades :2cool: It also matches your GLV finish quite well.

It should be an option, I think :2cool:

What ohm carto are you using there? I saw someone using a 2.0 single coil at 5v, but that seems like a burn waiting to happen, even though they seem to be doing fine with it.

Can't wait until my Liquinator ships, they seemed to get more orders over the holiday weekend than they expected.

So, I have read the whole thread, watched videos and reviews, ordered my 3ml with Dual-Coil cartos. It got here and I was very ready to test it.
Pushed down on the battery end, made a bit of a hole, and filled the tank making sure that not a single drop went into carto itself. Next thing I see is juice dripping out the drip tip end, drop after drop after drop. I push the carto back in to seal bottom end, turn tank right side up and juice starts dripping out the battery end of the carto. I did vape through the tank, which was about half full, but this was always gurgly and constantly flooded. I was wiping battery side all the time.
Thinking that maybe the carto was bad, I did another tank with a second carto, as I ordered 4 additional cartos. And got exactly the same thing. This time I pushed the tank up a bit to cover the slits, vaped, cleared the flood, pushed the tank back down and a minute later - flooding.

So, what am I doing wrong. Why all I am getting is flooding from carto, not the tank.

Anyone can give me any ideas to try? I have 3 more unused cartos left to try, though I don't really like wasting juice too much :)

I'm using Boge's....Not a single problem. I put the tank together....pushed the carto in....then I pushed the carto down a bit and filled it with a syringe from the top....After it was filled I pushed the carto into position....put some more liquid in the carto and vaped it right away. I found that filling it from the top I could fill the tank to the very top. Just slide the carto down just enough to sneak the syringe needle by.

sounds like a bad carto...James on Facebook stated some messed up cartos went out and to give him a call....

in the meantime if you wish, suggest you
  • take a new carto and insert it into the tank end cap with the battery end of the carto protruding the end cap
  • lubricate the polycarb tube and then put it on the end cap with the cart on it, leave the top cap off
  • fill the tank from the open side without the cap, avoiding getting liquid in the drip tip side of carto
  • once liquid enters through the slots on the carto the poly in the cart should should slowly absorb the liquid
  • if alot of liquid starts leaking through battery end then you have another bad carto...if no leaks you are good to go
  • in the event of leaking carto and you want to save juice just grab another fresh carto and push the bad one out the tank out with it
  • if you try all your cartos that were sent you and they all leak the only other option is until you get replacements is to break out the dremel and cut some cartos of your own

being I mostly use 801's and not 510's it is necessary to fill the tanks from the top...I always pull the top cap off and pour liquid in then put top cap on again.....have yet to have an 801 leak as you describe either on the initial fill or refill

I am going to pick up one of these the same time I buy a provari. Seeing I have never had either, Could some people give me opinions on which type to buy? (510 Reg/LR, 510 Dual Coil, or kr 808d/901 cartomizers.) I love tons of flavor and vapor. (Doesn't everyone?) I not to sure which size to get either. 3 ml or the 5.5 phat. I have only been vaping for three months so all these options are a tad new to me.

You could do what I did. I ordered a 5 mL Liquinator plus a 3 mL section of polycarbonate tubing. I'll use the 5 mL polycarbonate tubing for my dual coil XL cartos and the 3 mL setup for my 2.0Ω Boge cartos.

I don't own a Provari, but I believe they come with 510 native connectors, so you might as well choose 510 threaded cartos to start with. If you don't find satisfaction with any of those, you could try an adapter and the 801 Fusion cartos that lots of people really like.

A little better pic

I just couldn't leave it alone. I put it back on the lather and turned the caps down flush with the tank. This things gonna get a lot of use. I checked how much juice it holds now and I lost a mil when I turned down the tank. 2 Mils is fine for me.

So you can see the difference
