Hey folks, I caught wind that a possible bad batch of Boge was made. For those of you who are having leaking/overwicking issues, the cartos are the problem.

A member bought a box and every one of them had problems. Hard draw, leaking, and couldn't see through the airhole just to name a few that I could remember.

I just ordered one, so we will see how fast the turnaround time is. Looks like something you could almost make from parts at a large tool/hardware store for a few bucks, but time is money and the nearest large hardware store is 45 minutes away. If this works as well as 90% of the reviews express they do, then the $31 for the unit and shipping won't hurt so badly.

I wonder if the mild burnt taste is related. After Debb reported her issue, then reported she had LR and dropped the voltage, I started noticing the same taste. Changed cartos and had the same issue, but I thought mine was unrelated.

I just went through three in the last few days. I can't figure out what I'm doing differently, so it must be the cartos...

Assuming you have the know how to work with plastics, have the tools to work with the plastics and are willing to order scratch for materials then yes, this is a product that you could simply make yourself.

But then again, if you have the know how to work with wood, have the tools to work with wood and are willing to order scratch for materials, there is no real need to go to Ikea either.

The beauty with this particular tank (and Ive tried 7 different types of tanks for various atty types) is that it is both affordable and it works (as in, it doesn't require syringes, can be filled in 30 seconds, allows the carto to flow well without clogging or becoming flooded, holds a reasonable amnt of liquid - mine holds 3 ml so I only need to fill once at the start of the day and a second time towards the end of my work day, doesn't leak, supports drip tips, easily assembled / disassembled for cleaning, will work on just about any mod on the market, etc.).

I believe that this is the best ecig innovation on the market. I have no qualms about saying that this tank is more valuable to me than the Provari unit I use with it.

This tank ($30), 4 x slotted 2 ohm LR cartos ($10), an 18650 battery mod (a Silver Bullet costs $85) w/ 2 batteries (2 x $10=$20) & charger ($15), and a 180 ml bottle of liquid from Bluemist ($35) and you are set for one month of pure ecig bliss and I really cant see anything else you could possibly want... All of this for less than $200 for the first month - GUARANTEED less than analog smokes (if you are a pack a day smoker) and each successive month, you just need 4 more cartos ($10) and another bottle of eliquid ($35) for less than $50 a month the first month.

This tank COMPLETES the ecig experience. Its the last piece of the puzzle in my mind. What more can we really ask for from an ecig? Fill it twice a day, vape all day, good battery life, lots of vapor.

I dunno, the last 3 weeks, I have had far too many Vap-O-gasms to count (and the best part is, there is no mess afterwards...) and this tank was the last piece to that pure bliss I have been looking for.

Hmm...maybe I went too far. Ill leave it at this, if you dont have one of these tanks and this thing will benefit you, this is a must have product. If you prefer filling every 20 minutes or dripping every 3 minutes, well, you shouldnt be looking at tanks in the first place...

After I emptied out a tank, I put one of the original carto's back in that came with the tank that had not been used. It started leaking but no burnt taste. I switched it out with a new Boge that I bought a couple of months ago, no leaking and no burnt taste.

I still had one more new carto that came with a tank. I put it in to see what happened. I prefilled it, then the tank. No leaking but tasted burnt. I switched it out with another new Boge, from a different box but from the same shipment. No leaking or burnt taste.

Conclusion is that Boge must have let a batch slip by. I've never encountered this using their cartos until now.

All the cartos for this test were standard resistance on a Prodigy with 3.7V batteries.

I have five left, but before using them all I'll slot a non-Boge cart and see if that's it. It occurred to me that I may have just burnt my juice. In any case, I won't be able to test that theory until tonight so I'm filling up my GGTS for today.

:(

EDIT: Ok, I'm ready to say it's definitely the cartomizers. I just loaded a new one on a freshly cleaned tank with new juice. That's carto number four. I'll definitely be slotting my own tonight to fix this.

Please do so and let us know if anything is different. My 801 fusions are working perfectly for the exception of one but that was my fault. I cut too deep and caught the filler badly which in turn shifted the airhole (I cut it opened and checked). I was leaking pretty good but no harm. It was one that had been cleaned about 4 times and outlived it's lifespan awhile back.

don't know about the burnt taste -- tried out three cartos and no burnt taste -- bought em last week too

but about the gurgling from overfilling, not sure if anyone already said to try this, but if you carefully pull the tank up so that the bottom plug covers the slots and just vape it like that for a while it seems to take care of the mild flooding that can happen if you put too many drops in the top -- once it starts hitting normal without gurgling or crackling from too much juice then you can bump the tank back down below the slots and let it feed from the tank

has anyone else ordered the tints? I was under the assumption that they were going to be pre cut to fit the tube. Thee is absolutely zero chance i can get it on perfectly. I cant stand trying to get the clear screen protectors centered on cell phones and this is just like that but harder. Anyone have any tips before i have a go at the second one. The first one didnt make it.

Looks like it was the cartos. I have replaced them and all is good with the first one. Thanks for the tip. I was starting to second guess everything!

so basically if you are having problems with the liquinator it is NOT the liquinator tank, it is either how the cartomizer was not filled correctly and liquid has flowed over into the center tube or the cartomizer is hosed by either manufacturer defect or the slots were cut too deep and either messed with the poly or sliced the center tube

anybody think of anything else?
as far as the tank O rings leaking I have not seen it....this tank design is solid

Holy Frijoles! I really like the 1.5Ω dual coil. I just tried it at 3.7v and 4.0v and I've instantly got a head rush. Great flavor and sick amounts of warm vapor!

Here's a picture (from left to right):

1. Super T P10 with 3ml Liquinator @ 3.7v & Red drip tip / Watermelon from Vaporescence.
2. AltSmoke BB "Darth Vader" with 3ml Liquinator @ 3.7v & Tank Tint / RY4 from Ikenvape.
3. ProVari Satin with 3ml Liquinator @ 5.0v & Super T tip / ULTRApure from Innovapor.
4. ProVari Satin with 5ml Liquinator Dual @ 4.0v / Buttered Popcorn from Vaporescence.

EDIT: I just realized that's like $600 worth of paraphernalia there. :(
