What has happened to @TheotherSteveS haven't seen any posts from him lately. He was so sold on this Zivipf NiFe48. Mine is arriving today and I'm thinking of just wrapping a 6 wrap 2.5mm 26awg coil and placing it giving it a couple of pulses and a squeeze will be using my coilmaster. Then wick it and give it a try. Steve seemed to be sold on this stuff and I am hoping it is as easy as what I'm going to try. Want to try it out and then I'll decide if I want 50m or 50m of Ti. I don't fool around with fancy coils just a simple single coil. 5 wrap Ti works very well. The best so far in TC but I want to get enough to last. I am preparing for Vapocolypse which I think is coming. I talked to the guy I get all my flavoring from in Germany and they are all going through the same kind of crap that we are here in the states with delegalization of vaping. I don't understand why this is such a big deal but it seems to be worldwide. By the time I get completely stocked I will be self sufficient for at least 5 years and the govt can kiss my white Irish ....
Lol! Im still here :)

Currently running NiFe48 in three devices (Promoetey v3, Sofia v2 and merkava) with Ti in the rest. Still liking it muchly!

I'm still using the fake NiFe52, I like the Invar36 as it has come to be known. Maybe my real stuff will show up soon.
Im kind of amused that my half-assed suggestion it was Invar36 turned out to be true...lol!

I am sold on the nife30 0,32mm frop zivipf

I bought 10 meter to see what the fuzz was all about, and been using dual coil in my crius ever since. Before that I was using dual titanium coils. But I just like it more. I gave a small sample of the wire to a guy who bought my bellus and he also instantly ordered some nife30. He wasn't all to keen of TC vaping, untill he tried the nife30

Now i just need to get the orders of SS wire in my mailbox to give it a good comparison

@TheotherSteveS Well I did what you said with the real NiFe48 6 wraps 2.5mm 26awg. I heated it at 12w and strummed it till it glowed from inside out. I am now running it at TCR.00405 400F 16J and I am totally amazed at how good it is. Holding temp better then Ti seems to have a smoother taste but very good. I am going to change some more of my attys today. This might be the wire of the future. builds like Kanthal but works like Ti or Ni. I was a little apprehensive at first but now I am just amazed can't put it down. Nice part about having more then 1 SXM I can compare them one with Ti and one with NiFe48 both in STM's running both at same temp takes slightly more power to maintaing temp with the NiFe but fantastic.

I've been playing around with my settings because I thought the flavor was dropping off a little. Got it perfect for me now but I'm not sure what I should have the compensate temp set at. We keep our house at 72F so I set it at 22C. My new settings that really hit the spot are 420F 18J Powerful mode and tastes really good. My coil now after 2 tanks is running .200ohms

The increase in resistance on an SX device has little to no significance.

Unlike the Evolv DNA devices, the SX does not "refine" or adjust coil resistance.

Thus, the increase in resistance (assumption) was the consequence of a hotter atty since initially sync. The rule (for both platforms) remains sync (SX) or place atty on to the mod (DNA) at room temperature, aka only read "cold ohms".

Otherwise your vape will change according to the 'erroneous' data.

If the resistance went down (assumption) that would indicate that your initial reading was wrong, though more likely that the coil has stabilized. Once again, read this new value at room temperature ONLY.

@dwcraig1 did you get your NiFe yet?
It should be here in an hour or so, my mail comes late here. I'm at the end of the line, Mexico just to the south and the Pacific just to the west. Like 2 miles south and 7 blocks west.
It arrived.

Well I'm not sure I'm as buzzed about it as you guys are. Seems to be getting kinda muted to me. Definately takes more heat and power after it get broken in. Not sure if I should try a different coil or what. I just use single coils and I'm using a 6wrap 2.5mm 26awg. I'm on 420F 18J STM

I haven't any immediate plans for mine, I may experiment a bit with it in my "test" atty (Magma). But my feelings towards it is this: aside from having to use more wraps or larger coils like with Ni200 I feel tha ALL 26 gauge wire is all the same. Especially in regards to the physical shape of the coil that I build with it. Ti seems best for temp accuracy and still have decent ohms with respect to coil size. Ti though has it's safety issues when not used properly and is time consuming to dry burn. This NiFe48 should be a good alternative to using Ti. (Ni200 is a PITA) Just thinking out load, not sure why I'm even posting this.
