I'm just getting a better vape from it, but it may be the gauge. Hard to tell until someone gets 26g 430ss

Did you try twisted 28g 430?

How many wraps on your dual 316 build? I'm trying to figure out the ohm/mm value of 316 but I can already tell it's higher than 430.

I count 9 wraps each coil, contact coil, 2.5mm. It comes in at about .25 ohms

@f1vefour , still haven't seen the 430ss sample you sent. I feel like I'm missing out on all the fun. :?:

Have you put in a pre-order for nife52 at unkamen yet?

I sent it in a standard envelope, how long does a letter take I wonder? I sent it Monday.

I'm not really interested in NiFe, the nickel content is just too high. I would try it but I wouldn't buy it to do so.

You were kind enough to vape it forward, so if be willing to send a sample when mine comes in. About how much would be good to work with? 5 foot maybe?

If they're comparable, I'd probably stick with 430 in the long run anyway as it was cheaper.

4 days ago I got my Nife 48/52 wires from Zivipf. I got AWG 26/27/28 and AWG30 (for twisted use only). I´m very happy with the wire, it`s easy to handle ( not springy ) and because of the higher resistance I can use it in all of my attys. Even in atomizers with some static resistance the wire works fine. NiFe48/52 will replace all of my V2A/304 and Titanium wire. Only in big atomizers like Flash e Vapor and Big German I will go on with Ni200.
NiFe52 340-360F
SXK Mods 420F + NP 50-55 ( depands on version )
Both for Muji cotton - regular cotton 10F lower

5ft would be plenty, I will PM my information. Thanks mate.

Thanks for the offer.

No problem, it was a pre-order, so it'll be 3 weeks before I see it, but I'll send it out the weekend after it arrives.

Gotcha, I'm in no hurry. This 430 is fine, I will actually be disappointed if the NiFe is better since it would make me want to use it :)

So I ordered some ****52 from
UnkamenSupplies
I have been waiting for the NiFe52 so I bought one of each 24, 26, and 28ga along with some 28ga Ti that I just might entertain twisting with the NiFe52. Thanks for the tip! :thumb: The only problem is that it is a preorder and they said around 6-7 weeks for delivery. But it was 25% off too.

The 430 is springy indeed. Not too much worse than the 317, but noticeable.

I threw a 7 wrap single coil in, went to pulse it, and the wire immediately drooped and contacted the base of my atomizer where it tried to weld itself and also snapped back at the post.

After cleaning that mess out, I threw a practice coil that was 12 wraps in that I had only made for getting a feel for the resistance/springiness in because I was impatient and wanted to try again right away. That one was too high resistance to tc on, but is great in watt mode.

Then I tried putting the tank top on instead of the dripper top for the atomizer, made contact and shorted/burned out the coil. :/

Hopefully I can cut the user error out and enjoy some tc out of it, but it'll have to wait for next week, too much homework right now to keep playing.

Evic VTC MiNi & SS Coils:
I unboxed my Evic mini Friday and have been trying it out with two different tanks, one that has 304 SS coil heads and one that has 316 SS coils. I have been extremely impressed with the performance using these coils. I was surprised to find that even though the Evic does not provide any TCR user adjustment capability that by using the TI wire setting and a significant temperature adjustment I get excellent TC response and just the type of warm full vape that I most enjoy. The first tank I used was an old Smok VCT for which I had recently aquired some coil heads the VCT X-1 S. I originally purchased these coils thinking they were for my Smol TCT tank but found that they were actually designed for use in the older VCT tanks that I had relegated to the non-use pile. I pulled a VCT out, cleaned it up and put in the X-1 S coil it being a 304 grade SS. Filled the tank with a favorite juice and put it on the new mini where it read .55 ohms. I started to vape at 470F and 60 watts and immediately saw I was much too high for that coil.I then adjusted a few times and find that a setting for the 304 SS works best in TC between 220 to 240 F and the watts set at 35. It is a fabulous vape and I have now run through several tanks to a practically dry condition with no burnt taste whatsoever. My next test has been using the Crown tank with the stock 316 SS coil. The resistance of that cpol on the Evic Mini shows as .27. The vape is also very good but seems to need a setting of around 240-260F. The Crown does seem to provide a somewhat better flavor than does the VCT tank. With the same juice neither of these tanks provides the full rich taste that I derive from that juice on my dual coiled Velocity using Ti. I am still waiting on an order of SS and am anxious to coil up the Velocity for a true comparison. The Evic Mini is a great little device and at a cheap price and I am very happy with it. My only real complaint is the rapid battery depletion but, I expected that to be the case before I ordered it. For stock SS coil with tanks I believe that the Evic Mini is a real winner.
