A far as usability, I pretty much only use 316 & 430. If I could find 430 in 24 ga I'd be down to one grade of SS.
Yes 28g can be difficult, pretty much all my atomizer screws easily cut the wire. More a fault of the screws but still sucks.
Well, I like twisted 28ga for some builds, but I don't always want to twist.
With the Unkamen SS430 do you twist it tight with the drill till it breaks or a loose twist?
Please can you give me more info? Was it dual coil set up and what resistance? also did you set it up on Ti or Ni mode.
single coil but that shouldnt make any difference really if the build/wicking is good. It works on both but I am using it on Ni setting which gives a bit more headroom since these mods are a little undercooked in temp mode. So about an -80F offset in temp from what you might use with a Ni200 coil. As always, start a biut lower than you think and work up until it vapes nicely!! Let me know if it works or if yoiu need more info!
Anyone checked out the new notch coil design by Joytech/Wismec? Looks interesting, especially when considering that the current will alter its path through the 316SS coil dependent upon heat variations within the coil.
It is an interesting design but what do you mean alter its path? Where did you get that information?
