I just got my Aqua V2 Tobecco clone yesterday. Stock it is a very good vape but too restricted for me. It is definitely more restricted than the Orchid. I took the unit apart and with a my high speed drill and a 7/64 dill bit I enlarged the air hole horizontally by a considerably amount. You don't want to enlarge the air hole vertically because you would mess up the o-ring . So now the air hole is oval instead of it being a circle. I used a 1/8 drill bit and connected the air channels of the derilin. I then created a new channel going from the air hole side to the channel I had created....so in essence making a T. I drilled out the deck air holes using 3/32 drill bit. I put everything together and the airflow was similar to my orchid. I wanted even less restriction so I took out the derilin again and took a 5/32 drill bit and widened the channels on it. All this took less than 20 minutes. Now this thing vapes as good as my Veritas...I love it. Best RTA I have ever bought. The only downside is that it can be a PITA to catch 28g wire....as some have mentioned you want the wire to go from one a post hole to the opposite post hole (not the post hole to its side) or else you will have connection problems because of a wobbly coil.

The Aqua V2 is a genius design. Basically the juice flow and air flow control are linked. The tighter you make the draw the less the juice channels are exposed so you don't get a gurgly vape. When you open up the airflow more of the juice channels are exposed so you don't get dry hits. And the Small bell shaped chimney makes this the best tasting rta I have ever used. Big two thumbs up from me.

I reading all kinds of mixed thoughts on its airflow comparison. Some ppl are saying airflow is more than the orchid, less than the orchid, etc etc with other RTA's as well.

I have 3 orchids and the aqua v2,and i can definitely say,at least to me,that the aqua v2 definitely has better airflow, even though it only has 1 air hole vs the 2 on the orchid, the air inlet is quite a bit bigger on the aqua, plus you gain the adjustability that the orchid doesn't have.Don't get me wrong,i love my orchids, and still use 1 as my all day attie because i have it set up perfectly for the juice i use in it,but i have been using the aqua quite a bit too.

Just my personal opinion, but my unmodified Tobeco Orchid V2 has more air flow then my unmodified FT "Authentic" Aqua V2, and I'd say by quite a bit.

Now ask me which one is collecting dust.... (HINT: It's not the Aqua)

The flavor from the Aqua is unmatched by any other tank I've tried.

@ the guys who wanted a picture of my modification....here is an instructional video :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCZ7RVdGtGw

He opted to do a second 7/64 air hole on the opposite side while I just widened the original air hole horizontally by 1mm. He used a Dremel to make his channels in derelin while I just did everything with a high speed drill.

Actually I was thinking of that getting a Goblin.... but when you have a small tank like the Goblin you really want to be able to fill it easily on the go without any tools. They kind dropped the ball with that. You can fill the Aqua V2 super easily with out needing a syringe or a screwdriver. The only reason I can think of someone not getting this RTA is because it doesn't come with a glass tank.

Quick question: how much can one disassemble the Aqua v2?

I've taken off the base to reveal the hybrid threading, removed the adjustable 510, and then the plastic insulator. Can the base be taken apart farther?

I've tried rebuilding multiple times and checked all connections, and I still get random "check atomiser" from 4 diff mods :/

Cracked a tank today. I filled it up this morning with Charlie Noble's Commodore Pearry. I didn't know that pear juices would crack 'em up. I didn't lose any juice though. I noticed a bunch of radial cracks on the top of the tank running from the shoulder of the top of the tank to where the chimney sits. Oh well, I like the way they look with the SS tanks, but I really dig seeing my juice level.

I don't consider it a knock on the product itself. My ignorance about my juice is not a manufacturing problem.

I really like my Aqua V2 except for one thing...the acrylic tank (i.e.,acidic juice). I know you can use the SS tank, but I don't like to play peek-a-boo with my juice.

I'm anxiously waiting for an aftermarket tank with a Pyrex window. Love the tank; just found the sweet spot today for juice flow with my build/wicking.

I really want the ability to effortlessly monster [what? try: monitor] my juice without a pmma material tank. I drive a lot for work, and would like some way to know when I need to refill.

Not sure if you've seen them, but you can get replacement tanks dirt cheap from fasttech.I cant remember if it's a 4 or 5 pack, but it's like $4.50 or so.

Yes. More. The Big White will come out too (just like the previous Aqua). One just needs to be careful in prying it downward. I usually run a very tiny flathead screwdriver around it - between it and the steel casing - a few times while lightly levering it loose. Once BigWhite is out, the main positive assembly (brass base plate + double male threaded connecting rod) will drop out and then you can remove the positive insulator by pushing it upwards from underneath. That little insulator should have an o-ring on it.

I think there's a full breakdown spread in the Authentic Aqua2 thread.

Maybe there's something wonky going on in that 2-piece main positive assembly.
