Nice wick job Pete! Seriously. I have been inverting the tank when juice is still in and needed a re-wick/dry burn all along. By the way the Rose v2 base is a perfect/stable holder for the Aqua tank while working on the deck and wick.

I have a 9/16 socket on my desk that I've been using as a base/stand/holder. It works fairly well. Just for the folks that don't have a Rose v2 around. ;)

I got the OTM from fasttech and i am ecstatic. Super impressed! It is now my go to tank replacing the $160 ErlK. First wick job on my dual 28g build was a failure(dry hits 4 or 5 pulls into it). After thinning out the channels it is now working like a champ. Thinking about modifying it to get more air flow as done in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCZ7RVdGtGw

I've been contemplating that as well Sig. I have one that I half-broke the positive pin on, so I don't mind tearing its guts up. I already have some twisted 28 lying on my desk waiting. I'm watching TJ's video on the Goblin and I am quite curious how he wicks it. The way he wicked the Billow was surprising to me and I might give his method a shake.

if your positive pin threading is busted and spins freely and you cant get a replacement, in a pinch you can just invert the pin and secure the leads under the screw. a PITA but it works if you need to get your vape on.

I mentioned it a few pages back, it's not the terminal, I stripped out the brass assembly from the 510 up. I have a strip of floss where the threads were mucked up the most and it mostly works now. It's good enough to last until taxes come back. Then Cobalt gets my negative terminal and I'll keep it for parts.

I'm not big on top coil tanks, but for $20,i am going to add it to my next order just to check it out.Did you read the discussion about it,very funny conspiracy thought going on about this one, still for $20 i want to try it out haha.

I almost got one for the heck of it but for the life of me, I can't see how it wicks!

Wicking will be hilarious, long wicks with smaller wicks to fill up the gaps.
Or: A single wick for each coil. Tip too far and it will make a great drink dispenser!

Two small air holes that seem to be covered by simply screwing the top on fully!

I don't believe that you can get enough air flow via the thin gap on the top cap.

I wonder if you can even get enough air flow over the coils to get a decent vape!

That being said, I want one... worst case you get a lemon that can be looked at and used for a laugh

ft aqua3: so, just an autodripping genesis?

No. It's a skam that Footoon baited his hook with to see if any China cloners would bite. It's a joke RTA that's impossible to use. It's apparently meant to show that the China cloners don't understand how RTAs work. They just get designs and copy them blindly. Footoon pulled off a brilliant move. If this really is what it looks like, it'll be one of the biggest highlights of 2015.

I just don't feel that bad for him though because I suspect he did outsource the v2 to China and won't admit it. At least Kebo tells you the Russians are made in China, as does eXvape with their eXpromizers. Now if the Korean machine shop farmed it out, then I feel a little more sympathy.

I have the same suspicion you do. He probably gets the parts machined in China and the atomisers assembled in Korea. Then you can keep the "Made in XXX" badge and still keep China production. It happens everywhere!

I don't doubt that this is at least part of what he meant by "fighting with clone" but I really would prefer that to simply be taking on more risk and producing large enough volumes that the price is $60 instead of $150.

been sick the last couple days so I didn't get to play with my Tobeco. Threw a .8 ohm single coil build in it today and wicked it as seen in this thread. Really liked it as an RDA, much nicer vape than the Vulcan clone I have. The purchase was worth it for me just for use as an RDA.

Have the plastic tank on it now and I'm going to see how it keeps up. Vaping it at 27.5w and hopefully it wicks well enough that I don't get a dry hit. I'm not getting the bright, crisp flavor so far that I did when I used it in RDA mode. It's much less airy than the Kanger Subtank Mini I've become used to. We'll see how I like this clone after a few days. If nothing else, I like how it vapes as an RDA, and the quality is consistent with the other Tobeco products I've had, which is to say very nice. So far so good, jury is out on how I like it as a tank, but I'm not regretting picking one up.

I see the genius of the Aqua v2 now. I smoke a cigar after dinner every night, and it makes me sensitive to throat hit for an hour or so after. I can bump this tank down to 20w/4v and restrict the airway and it is a very capable mouth to lung vape. Wide open at 27.5w/4.7v it delivers a good direct inhale. If not as good as an rda or Subtank, still satisfying. All the while great flavor is delivered, AND it is, I feel, an above average rda in rda mode. I'm happy I got this.
