I hear ya. In the future, I am going to have to get more devices to keep different flavors on hand, like I did with the clearomizers. It does help my taste buds tremendously. Right now it has been hard with with two tanks, and a dripper. But, someone is giving me two Kayfuns, they won't use anymore. The air hole isn't big enough for them. That will really help me out. I really have spent way more than my budget has allowed already. If not for that, I'd have several more devices to vape from. The kayfun and Magma were given to me, and I bought the Aqua2. But still all these other vaping supplies have been adding up big time.

Rotation of flavors is the key to a healthy vaping life and active taste buds.

Currently I have 5 KFL clones, 2 Orchid V4 clones, a Fogger 1/2, and now 3 Aqua V2s, plus 2 Magma drippers, a Plume Veil and a Scar for dripping in between the tanks

My one Aqua was 1.3 ohm, and the second came out to 1.1. Both have performed flawlessly. Took that second tank to work tonight and BAM! I am still in love. Much better than my KFL clones. I hope these remain available for a while, since I wouldn't mind buying a few more

Yeah, with a pear juice. I didn't know that pear degraded tanks. Eh, I like them more with the SS tanks anyway. If I get a dry hit, I just fill it back up.

Oh my goodness. Achievement unlocked in the Sunburst household. I got this to finally work hotter than I like and for pulls bigger than I like.

I read somewhere (and seriously, thanks to the poster) that spaced coils are the ticket in tanks. The wicking keeps up better, flavor is better and the vape is a smidge cooler. Full disclosure: I can say that my wicking has improved aside just from building more stuff. However, the wick I pulled out from the old build is pretty much the same as what went in.

I took a trip to my local hardware store today and grabbed a bunch of machine screws. I used a number 1 which is near enough 2mm. 7 wraps for .6 ohms. Oh sweet mother of vapor. This is amazing. I loaded her up with Nick's Lush and I've got the room smelling like a barrel of strawberries and cream exploded. When I finish a build, I start low on the wattage and work my way up to find where my vape lives. So, I started at 16W and went up. And up. Up to 38W. Which was a fantastic vape, but the drip tip was too warm to comfortably chain vape. Which it could do. Vapor production was very surprising at all settings. I like this juice best at 26 on this build, so that's where she's going to live for this tank.

TL;DR - Go buy some small machine screws and make some spaced coils if you like a warm vape and occasionally chain vape. Yeah, occasionally. That's the ticket.

And to the posters that have suggested standard coils, I tip my hat to you.

I ordered the "OTM" "OEM" one from fastech and it arrived yesterday. Just built a single coil, 26 gauge, 2.5mm, 1.1 ohm coil. I initially had a problem but it was solved with snugging up the screws on the coil...everything stabilized and its working fine now.

I'm using it with the SS tank section. Looks nice...Though I may switch to the polycarb tank so I can monitor juice consumption...But I think the polycarb tanks look like ....

My observation is that I actually get more vapor with the spaced coils over the micro-coils. A bit more noise, too, but definitely more vapor, which means that even on a single coil, I went through the juice faster. There is also a flavor difference as well, which is, so far, working out just fine

I may have to try a spaced coil. Just got a double coil in there though. No way am I changing it out at the moment. I had one lead wire that was giving me fits. No matter where I positioned it, it wasn't getting trapped by the screw, once tightened down. I guess I will get faster with practice. But at this point, it is slow going getting a dual coil in the Aqua2 for me.

On my third unit, one of the post screws was super tight and I couldn't budge it. Had to take some pliers to it. I had to be careful, since one of the others one had a loose negative post which I had to screw tight (the post itself, not the screw). Luckily, I didn't break it. I was beginning to fear I got a bad one.

Still need to throw a build in that one. Most likely tomorrow. Still trying to decide which juice to use in it...

My new Aqua clone came with a badly drilled negative post. On one side, the holes broke through each other, leaving a too-wide figure eight-shaped hole instead of two separate holes. I searched but came up empty. So does anyone have a spare I could buy/trade for or know where I might find one? I'm glad they're removable, else I'd really be in a jam!

Spaced coils were the answer for me also. I posted about dry hit problems on this thread but I don't think I came back on this thread to mention the fix.

Cobalt, I'm sorry I don't know where you could get one. Maybe you could ask your vendor.

I should pop my other Aqua on and vape all the juice out of it, I really want to try a 26 gauge build in it. You know, for science. I use google keep a lot. I have three or four notes with things I have jotted down about people's experiences with the Av2 clones. Next up will be a .5 26 gauge build and then after that, I'll try dravell's 24ga .4 build.

In other news, I broke the crap out of my Erl this morning. Here's a tip: before you fire up your drill, look for threads. And, wait until you've had some coffee before you drill. If you can guess, I reamed the threads right out of the center post. I'll update my other thread about it. And a few hours after I typed this, I realize I haven't hit submit. sigh

can you adjust it so that the off-center holes are not used? otherwise, I'd just return it.

Sometimes I can get it, sometimes it totally eludes me. If push comes to shove, I'll use my wire welder to attach a short piece of 22 gauge NR wire to one leg of the coil, that should be easier to trap under the screw.

I bought it second hand so not an option to ask for help from a vendor. On a brighter note, the new Aqua I bought from Gear Best was fine as far as the negative post goes. The only problem I had with both of my Aquas was too high resistance/voltage drop. This was taken care of by making #7 "seal ring" thinner. It started out being 0.044" (~1.1mm), taking it down to 0.028" (~0.7mm) allowed #9 "counter screw" to be fully tightened yet allowed #5 "middle section" to turn easily with just a little resistance.

Cobalt, I can't give you a time-frame, but I'm going to need a new agua soon. I got a little carried away with the bluedriver and sorta stripped out a positive post. :/ I put some floss in it to get me by until I order a new one. It reads right nine fires out of ten. I just check it before I commit to the fire button, lol. So when that happens, I'll let you know and you can have the neg post off of it.

But the .4 26ga build in it is beast mode. I finally get the cream out of Commodore Pearry on a consistent basis. So, that's good. Wins and losses, ya know.

Thanks, Sunburst. That is very thoughtful of you! Just so we're on the same page, should this come to pass I insist on paying postage and whatever amount you say for the post. I mean, I'd have to pay for it if it was sold by FT, so it would be my pleasure to do the same with you. And speaking of FT, I want to start a ticket to see if they can get a repair kit together for the Aqua v2, hopefully with the option of getting either/both new posts. Who knows, might end up helping us both!

That's what I built most recently as well, KB. It is faaaaaantastic. I'm not sure if I like the 28 gauge build more or not since they have different juices in them.

Here's the 26ga with the half-broken positive post. Works like a champ most of the time. If it gets funky, I just pop the tank off and press down on the pos. post. My apologies for the questionable photo, it's the best my phone would muster without more light.
