Hmm. Followed the modding video partially.
Drilled my airhole out to 7/64. Joined the 2 air slots on the delrin base, and added an extra lot perpendicular to that.
Drilled the airholes on the deck out to 7/64.
The difference in airflow was very very little.
Unfortunately I have no means of adding an extra hole on the base, which im sure would've made the biggest difference. Meh

I am not drilling my other one by hand. It was no fun at all to do, but it made a pretty sizable difference. Come to think of it, I'm not modifying the delrin bit without a dremel ever again either, lol.
All that said, if you have a good drill bit, it shouldn't be too bad to do. I have whatever set was cheapest at Walmart. I do think it's super important to use a center punch or a suitable sub to mark where you'll start. Precision is fairly important with the vertical location of the hole. I suppose if I hadn't worried as much about positioning so much until I punched through the steel, I could have been done much quicker.
BTW, an unintended consequence of this mod is that I can run big builds at lower power. When you turn down the power the vape cools off, right? Crank the tank down and it warms up nicely. It used to be that I could only get so much out of that before the draw was too tight for me. That is no longer the case, she'll have decent airflow until 2/3 closed off or so, warming up the vape considerably.

^ yeah that's exactly what I need: a center punch to get me started. Gonna have to pick one up.

I used the saw and file blades on a Leatherman Wave multi-tool. Yes, it took forever.
I used a 1/16 bit by hand to evaluate positioning. Once I was satisfied, I just gave my 2.4mm phillips a light tap to deepen the surface mark I got from the drill bit. Started drilling and evaluated every minute or so when I needed to put another drop or two of water on the bit.

Started to have some gurgling in the atty. Decided the 28 gauge wire was not heating up fast enough for dual coils.
Went to single coil mode. 1.5 ohm at 5 volts 16.67 watts
will just run single coil till the 30 ga. comes in.
way better in single coil mode with the wire I have on hand.

I've only used mine with a single coil and absolutely love it. No leaking, no problems just great flavor and nice vapor.
I'm not having any problems heating 28g duals. They light up darn quick on a mech or regulated mod. I'm running a 0.7 ohm build though.
I'm running 26ga duals at .36 ohms on a Stingray X , instant fog machine , no delay whatsoever .
I agree, I tried duals and did not care for the harsh hit and went back to a single coil
Well I've had this device for about two months now and decided to try it in dripper mode. I'm not a big fan of drippers, just too airy for me. Anyway, as a dripper it's fantastic. I had to wick a little differently than in tank mode - running the cotton down the juice channels. But only using the bottom air hole, sides closed off, I got a very dense cloud with wonderful flavor. The deck holds a lot of liquid in this set-up and I got quite a few hits before having to re-drip. Try it if you haven't yet - you will be impressed.
How do you wick yours in tank mode?
For the last couple of nights I have been using it with the dripper tank. But I have mine wicked as you are using in dripper with both tanks. I do like the drip tank with lots of flavor. And it kind of fun to mix up fruit flavor this way.
I use the standard bow tie wick. With just a small amount of cotton in the top of the channels. Its pretty much how I wick all my dual coil devices and it seems to work the best.
Hey, I've been looking at the Aqua v2 clone for some time. It seems like it gets a lot of good use from most people. I've also read that the most reliable one to get is the FT OTM. I'm considering this tank over anything else on the market right now.
I've built the goblin, so I'm a bit familiar with dual coil RTAs. It seems the OTM also has the ability to run single. Is this highly recommended or should I also be looking at the Orchid or something different like a KF4 clone?

Both the Orchid V6 and the Aqua V2 are good. I have the OTM version from Fasttech ($35). It's quite good except for two things: 1) acrylic tank and 2) tank wobble. Yes you can run the Aqua V2 in single coil mode. The Orchid V6 w/ glass tank is a great buy for ~$10. Can also run in single coil mode. I like them both. If you like the Goblin you'll absolutely hate the KF4.

You can build the Aqua v2 single or dual. Great flavor but not so much for cloud chasing. I bought my clone from FT, SKU 2022300 https://www.fasttech.com/product/2022300, was like $14.00 but use FASTTECH coupon code to bring it down to $13.23. Every bit as good (and a bit better machining) as my Tobeco. Been looking at the Goblin, too. Might just do it, wth for $20.00, why not.

I am single coil only. But from all posts i have seen, you have to fill the unused channels with wick. Not what I was expecting, so have been reluctant buying one.
