I have the 14 dollar Ft clone aqua v2 on the way his week . Anybody have this model . Has great reviews but wanna know what everyone thinks here

I have a Tobeco clone and sku 2022300 from FT and they're both almost identical. Slight differences in the juice feed holes size. Other than the negative post being made funky (see my post above), the problem I had was the neg. post holes (others have had bad positive post holes, some both) were not drilled correctly so I had to open a ticket to get a replacement. Only wanted a new neg. post but they sent an entire new base assembly. No tank wobble on mine.

Have you read the 111 reviews and 40 discussions for sku 2022300 at FT? They cover just about every aspect of it in detail. If it was me (and it WAS, not long ago) I would read the discussions and skim the reviews of ALL the different Aquas FT sells. FC doesn't have anywhere near as much traffic on the reviews/discussions but you could check there, too. That way you can get a read on all of them to better make a choice. That said, if I had it to do over I'd still buy sku 2022300.

That's the model I got . Only problem I've had so far is that the post kinda spun right off the bat . Not a problem tightened it down ..everything is drilled out fine , had a slight oil smell that washed right off in vodka . Can't really see another version being much better for cost and performance . This thing is probably the best 14 bucks ever spent on FT .

Just a quick addition to my problems with the v2 ..the post holes are huge and the screw I recieved isn't long enough to hold down the coil . Anybody else have this issue ?
Open a ticket with FT and send it back . Have them replace it or take a credit and apply it towards the OTM version . My OTM is flawless , don't think you can go wrong with it .

Already discussed at FT under "Discussions". Like said, open a ticket and they'll send you a new base that may or may not have a good post. My replacement base did have a good post, but others haven't been so lucky.

All of the clones I have seen have a "cupped" neg. post. Details on how I dealt w/this is at post #696.

Even having 6 holes, I have one Aqua v2 that the wire holes still doesn't align right. On it I had to add shims under the neg. post to get the holes pointing right. All this was a pain in my ... but at least now it works as intended- which is to say GREAT. They are my favorite tanks, bar none.

They made me post a video of the my problem on YouTube and give them the link to it . If others are having the same problem I don't know why they are making me go through all this . Such a pain in the ... To mail it back too! I mean the postage from where I am to Florida where the return goes to is 9 bucks ..the thing cost 15 ...wouldn't it be cheaper for them just to send me a new one entirely with all the processing and additional postage to send me the new one anyhow ? All I really need is longer screws !!! Rant complete

I like my Tobaco clone and use it everyday, but I would love to see a v2.5 with some minor changes. Two air holes, a one piece solid base, and a bigger tank would make this, IMHO, a perfect RTA.

I'm with you on the base. I have no use for hybrid mode and all it does is come loose when I try to adjust the air flow.

I've now got two OTM Aqua V2's from FT. Fantastic tanks! Easy to build, refill, clean and flavor that rivals my Magma's. I run both in single coil ATM, 26ga, .9 ohms.

I got the first one the same week as an ErlPrinz. I found the Prinz too fussy to fill, and had leaking problems with it that may have been user error. That one went to live with a dear friend. For me, it's Aqua all day.

I agree that a solid, one piece base would improve it. Also, fixing the slight tank wobble would make it the perfect RTA IMO.

Ahem.. said dear friend has been having much success with his second Prinz which after some fiddling now works just as well as his first.. ;)

Said dear friend is also enjoying his one "Authentic Aqua V2 RDA Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer", because that is what I bought, before the OEM, OTM etc etc drama over at FT. :p

Hey! I did say it may have been user error. Now we all know that it was. Now I look silly. Happy? ;)

I just didn't like it well enough to fiddle. But I am delighted to hear that the Prinz is behaving perfectly in its new home.

Nah.. not trying to make you look silly, Silly!! :p

I did tell you that it was the little plastic insulator at the bottom of the 510 connector right? If it's not flipped the right way, it can cause the deck to wobble and come loose.

Perhaps this information can help someone else that may be experiencing similar issues, once they've taken it apart. :)

You said it might be that. Good to know! I took a pic before I did the tear down for cleaning, but looks like I still reassembled it wrong. No matter - it all ended well.

And here I thought I was going insane. That insulator is a tricky little sonofagun to be sure.

Yeah, it is. It LOOKS like it should go one way, when actually it needs to go the other way. :D

Mind if I ask what diameter you wound the coil on? I'm running the same setup on 2.0mm coil, just curious about yours.

    Thanx
